My Doctor put me on low carbs. She stated that I am to take TOTAL CARBS - DIETARY FIBER = ACTUAL CARBS TO COUNT. Also, don't try Atkins or specific carb diets. Fresh Vegetables, Fresh Fruits, Lean Meats not fried but broiled or grilled. Bread...Try Joseph's Oat Bran & Stone Ground Whole Wheat Pita Bread. I found it at Wal-Mart in the brea aisle. It is only 60 calories and really really tasty!
