  • I haven't eaten pasta in a LONG time... over a month :) I use Zucchini in replacement. I eat more yogurt (has tons of protein), I don't have cakes or cookies (although lately I have been searching for certain recipes that are healthier choices). I eat canned fish for additional protein, the sodium levels are high, but for…
  • Great job!!!!! :)
  • Fudgecicles (60-90 cals) popcicles (40-80 cals) Real fruit bars (80 or less) Blue Bunny Ice Cream (made with SPLENDA) (90-120 cals) Double Strawberry is good, it's 90 cals for 1/2 cup, so you could honestly eat 1 cup). Frozen fruit - Pineapple, cherries, any berry, You can also make your own things of course :)
  • Have you tried more adding protein to your diet? That solved my hunger pains. On a 1200 calorie diet with that exercise, that's real rough. I am on a 1200 calorie diet too, I eat about 60g of protein, and I never feel deprived of anything. I walk at least 20 mins a day but I noticed when started I lift weights, I seem a…
  • First, don't get upset over those workout DVDs. Some of those are real fun, but I always think it's very discouraging to have skinny people try to motivate fat people... wouldn't it be better for an overweight person to start a workout serious and in the end of it, become skinny? Anyway, Those are FIT people doing that,…
  • Try Cabbage: Quarter a head of cabbage, leaving the core on (this helps it stay together). Lay each quarter on it's round side and dress the flat sides with barbecue sauce. Grill for a bit, then turn them on their sides so the barbecue and get sticky. These are SO yummy and cheap! They kinda have a grilled corn flavour.…
  • 10. Skinny people actually pay more for their clothing! 11. Should SITF, you will be the last one to starve to death. 12. Skinny people die too, no matter how healthy you are. 13. It's much more fun being fat, you can eat all you want, with no worries. No sarcasm.. As far as this goes: I have been fat for a long time in my…
  • The law to own a gun wasn't really meant for personal protection, but meant to over throw a tyrant government. Which was a reason this country was originally founded. What with our recent changes to this country, I would advise anyone to at least get a home gun. I am more afraid of my police than my fellow Americans, to be…
  • I do! I have been told I will have to gun a gun if I plan on walking in our new place. It's in OK though, in a small town. I am not half as worried as he, but I don't blame him.
  • Eating better is cheaper than eating badly. Besides, the thought of looking good in a bikini kinda helps too, lol
  • Last month I started dieting(on the 12th). My cycle came at the appropriate time. I do know once a year my body likes to switch its dates around on me, but for the most part I have a pretty regular cycle for about 9-12 months. We'll see in a week or so.... I weigh on the 17th, and Aunt Flow comes at the beginning of the…
  • Before exercise? High protein? Low Fat? Low Sugar? I guess it's not just the calories we much look for. BUT, I had a 1200 calorie limit, and a lot of times I didn't reach it... I was 800 -1000. Ate multiple times a day, "fast food" 2 times a week with portion control. At first, I felt "icky", but I increased my protein to…
  • Great job! I would LOVE to know what at home exercise that is. It almost seems impossible to lose that much with your starting size! Very well done!
  • protein powders (140+ cals) 22-30g per serving lowfat greek yogurt (110 cals) 26g per serving fish (110+ cals) 24-28g per serving egg (70 cals) 6g per serving meat (200+ cals) 28g+ per serving beans (200+ cals) 20-30g per serving oatmeal (140 cals) 6g per serving nuts/seeds (170+ cals) 8g per serving
  • Progress is progress. Don't quit, you are progressing at a very healthy pace.
  • Works great if you don't have craps or fatigue... I am a big sufferer during this time of month... I tend to sleep a lot to sleep through the pain. Exercise of any sort just increases the pain.
  • Hmm... now you have me thinking... before I started my diet in May, I used to have this same issue... with chronic gassy pains... I usually knew that if I started having pains in that area and a lot of gas, I would have to visit the toilet in about 20 mins. And by then it was an EMERGENCY! Lately though, I haven't has such…
  • Wow, great job! I like the second picture best, but you look healthy as is. :)
  • Greek Yogurt. It's like my substitute for mayo, sour cream, it's just so versatile, it's AWESOME :)
  • Low fat cheeses I guess? The only cheese I really have been eating is Cottage, which is real good for you, BUT I occasionally top something with some cheddar, but less than a serving's worth. I have adjusted my taste buds accordingly, too much cheddar is either too salty, or even too greasy. I got Mozzarella this time…
  • LOL, I was just thinking this last night, Dad had a tub of ice cream with that (very bad for you) Magic shell chocoalte topping. Well I grabbed a normal eating spoon and scooped a little and drizzled it with the chocolate. I normally DON'T "Nibble eat" unless I am cooking fried food (because I tend to cook for around 2…
  • Good LORD! Excellent progress! And look at that smile!!! Very very well done buddy! :)
  • Have to lose 67 from 72. I am excited about it.
  • Society plays a healthy role in how woman THINK they should look. In reality, many years ago, men looked for more "thick" women, because they were more apt to have good strong healthy children. There's a reason why we store fat easier than men. Me, I am not looking for SKINNY, but I don't want to be "obese" either. I…
  • MOST of my "excess" weight is in my rear, thighs, and lower ab section ( will lose some b00b too though), so when I start dropping 20lbs or more, I am sure my pant size will too. I only have 67 pounds to lose to get to my target. When I reach my target, I should be in a size 6/8 (comfortably). This is what I was about 7…
  • I had a sandich at Arby's this weekend, and a burger/shake at Braum's (because I was out of State and wanted to "splurge"). Then, on Monday, Dad had to order Fried Chicken (scowls...) so I had a piece of chicken too. But all have been proportioned and in moderation, so yeah :) Really though, I don't get cravings for it.
  • Try increasing your protein. Ever since, I don't have cravings. I have not had any junk food in almost a week, and I only had some last week because I was out of state and knew I wouldn't get to go to Braum's for a LONG time (but I wasn't craving it). Sure, I WANT something, but it's not KILLING me that I don't have it.. I…
  • My food blog is open if you would like to see what I eat. Most of my meals are around 100-400 calories. I have a 1200 calorie diet that I am trying to keep up with... it's hard... it's almost like I feel like I am over eating if I get near 1200.
  • I looked at your blog, You're probably gaining muscle. You work out a lot, and you eat plenty of protein. Could just be a stab in the dark though. How long since you started this new lifestyle? You should give it at least a month before worrying about changing the routine.
