I tend to agree with this. It's like I need that protein! My breakfast needs to have protein in it and the only carbs need to come from the food, not added like bread/toast/cereal. I tend to have eggs for breakfast...just about every day. Sometimes I'll have a little ham or some cheese, sausage, turkey bacon. Also, I like…

3 Months....I hope to still be logging my food, exercising, committed. 1 year from now--I'd like to actually crave exercise, log, and maybe be 50-70lbs.. lighter I can't say a certain number on the scale...I lose slow...some weeks I do, others I gain a lb. or two.

I don't eat low carb, but I do try to balance breads; grains. When I was pregnant with my now 6 year old, I seemed to not tolerate cakes/cookies--baked goods. Still kind of the same thing. I also find that if I have cereal or toast for breakfast, I get hungry later to the point where I am shaking. I tend to have eggs for…

My kids eat what I make. I do sometimes make them (and dh) a side (carb) that I won't eat. We just had homemade carrot cake pancakes with fresh shredded carrots. They gobbled them up. My 6 year old actually found the recipe. My kids eat salads. Going out to eat-say Olive Garden; older one will order salmon (he does tend to…

We do the Body Test just about every day. I made a "program" on the Wii Fit Plus--put the areas I wanted to work on. I like the yoga. I have to have my 14 yo help me with the rhythm boxing--I can't remember the step so he tells me what to do! Is the Zumba fun?

If you are going to swim on a regular basis invest in a polyester blend type suit. I learned that after going though 2 bathing suits in 6 months. Also. be sure to shower first; get the suit wet before going in the pool.

I'm watching the show now on Hulu. Already crying. Her mom-OMG! I know that my family would be happy for me. I started at 285 about 40 days ago...down 9lbs. I know it will take time.

I would say that I tend to lean toward this. I consider going to fast food 3+ times per week for breakfast a problem (for me). Will I never eat there again...I will; just in moderation. Adding up all the $$ that has been spent on fast food/eating out could buy some food and cook at home. I have a 14 year old...going to…

I wouldn't call them poor, even before the show. I don't like the show. Mama June does love her family. May not be the way you love...but she does love them...even Sugar Bear!

Did you tell you were making the cake tomorrow? At 20, he could bake for himself. My son has made brownies (with peanut butter) and cookies several times this summer. He's 14. He finds a recipe and then does his magic. I wouldn't say he is sabotaging me. I choose to eat it or not eat it. My family likes the lemon bars that…

I grabbed a bunch of cookbooks from the library and will be looking for recipes and creating a menu (mostly for the fall-when we all go back to work and our lives get back on a schedule). I'm even considering doing some Once A Month Cooking. I need to have quick and easy meals for dinner. We have a habit of staying late at…

Never used it. I remember one f your other threads. I listed a few ideas as did others. Not sure if you saw it or if they were doable. I've going at this for about 30 days. It takes time. I am on a very tight food budget, but I'm trying to make it work. I do have to plan my meals. Make a green pepper last for several…

I just had pizza and didn't go over my calories. I'd like to get a recipe for a low cal dough. I had a pesto, tomato, mushroom basil pizza.

Any way you exercise? Get you a few extra calories

This summer I developed plantar fascistic and my Croc flip flops have made it bearable to walk. I am considering a pair of their Medic RX line for work. I am on my feet for 6-7 hours a day (teacher)--I'd rather not be pain and be able to walk at the end of the day. They have a few cute styles. To be honest, I'd rather be…

Also, how old is your son? I got diagnosis of hypothyroidism when my son was 6 months old. I wasn't losing weight; despite the fact taht I was cutting calories.
-
I'm no expert. I looked at a few days and you didn't even hit 1,000 calories. That might be part of it? Especially if you are working out and not eating some of those calories. I started at 285. I eat about 1880 calories--before exercise! If you ate like for 6 weeks, you would have seen some weight loss? Maybe check with…

7/19 Weigh In: 276.5; minus 3.5!! Yahooeee!!!! I am a very slow loser, so this is great! SW: 280 (7/12 weigh in) GW for Challenge: -30, so 250 (although I'd really like to be less) I weigh in on Fridays.

I had a. Diet Pepsi the other day....refreshing. I use to drink a lot more. Of it....but now only occasionally.

I just ad a glass of chocolate milk. I ad the calories for it....it's past midnight.

Oh doh! Slap my head! No wonder I was looking at my cooked 2 oz and feeling deprived!! I have trying not to pasta because, well...2 oz. cooked isn't a lot! I do tend to use a separate pot for me; makes it easier. I can be more accurate that way--until I've been doing it for years.
-
I use a food scale, well for now I'm using a mailing scale until I can get a food scale. I do measure my food and I try to be as accurate as possible.

Right now, I usually log as I'm eating, or while I'm cooking. I will also add what I am going to have for dinner before I cook. I also use the My Recipe section. I do that ahead a time. When I go back to work, I'm not sure...probably as I go.

I had poptarts the other day...it was trigger...I then ate a bunch of cookies that my son made. The next day, I had one cookie...no poptart. I think that I can't tolerate that kind of food...haven't proven my theory. I also try to not eat donuts, cupcakes. I find that I get tired and hungrier when I eat them. Doesn't mean…

I've been hypothyroid for 14 years. When I purposefully try to lose weight I do. I find that I need 3 things: eating right (whether it by MFP, Weight Watchers), water, and exercise 3 days a week. Once I stop...the weight loss stops. I started about 30 days ago...lost 5 lbs. About 2 years ago, I weight 30 pounds more. It…

Yeah like those 2 pickles I enjoyed...put me over my sodium...if I only would of just said no. Pickles get me every time....it all started when I was pregnant with my now 6 yo. I'd have a pickle, a glass of milk and a cheese stick for dinner. I told my husband....no more pickles! To me they are like Lay's potato chips...no…

I spent a lot of time floating away...but still enjoy it! I do water aerobics. I find that I seem to lose inches; and people ask if I lost weight. I currently do my own thing at the pool. I will set up "stations" in the pool. I swim a lap; do jumping jacks; swim another lap and run in place etc. I do water exercises due to…

Whatever MFP has it set at. I was wondering this, though. I tend to think I need more protein. I like to have a higher in protein than carbs breakfast. Cereal and milk...doesn't cut it for me. Right now, I'm trying to focus on overall calories in and sodium. If anyone has suggestions, ideas, etc., please message me. I have…
