  • Found this online, decided to look because everyone at work says I drink too much water :noway: ....I thought it was very informative because it includes waters benefits in body functions, and how environment and exercising affects what you should drink. (And contrary to them, I am supposed to drink more than 1…
  • Thank you for finding this:flowerforyou: , the response to my post of the same topic wasn't very helpful and I was very confused. I guess I don't know how to ask questions. I was so lucky that vickilg asked as well.
  • I just adjusted my food calorie intake (yesterday) by changing my weight loss goals to 1lb/week instead of 2 thanks to some posts (you people here are wonderful ) that said we should eat at least our BMR each day. The auto system had me way below my BMR of 1832. I'm actually having difficulty meeting the new, 1790 calorie…
  • Is it refrigerated???
  • Thanks for the new cal burned page. :flowerforyou: Do you or anyone know a website that helps to calculate our target heart rate (THR) safely? Being extremely overweight, my heart starts pounding if I do anything somewhat strenuous (like a slow pace on the eliptical for 5 minutes) and I stop because it's unsettling. I…
  • Couldn't be wheat for me, salads don't have wheat, but I'm wondering if it might be protein? I make sure I have protein for lunch because otherwise I'm starving in an hour and end up snacking almost constantly all afternoon. Same at dinner. Hmm, what would I do to eliminate (or cut down on) it and not be starving hungry in…
  • I don't like or eat turkey, but I do love onions and I've never heard that they can make you sleepy. When I get sleepy at work after lunch I end up drinking a diet pepsi, and I'm not supposed to have caffiene.:ohwell: I will let you know if I find anything...I've asked my doctor and she just said everyone gets sleepy after…
  • getting sleepy after they eat? It doesn't seem to matter how little or what I eat, sometimes it's after lunch and sometimes after dinner. It's annoying to be trying to study (I'm taking college classes) and wake up after dosing off!:grumble: I have trouble getting to sleep that night then. Any suggestions on what I can do…
  • No, you aren't. I have 120lbs to lose, probably should lose more but it will make be happy to be 150 again and in “normal” sizes. When I started I was 273, 2 weeks ago and have lost 5lbs so far, not much, but it’s something. Important: I just adjusted my food calorie intake by changing my weight loss goals to 1lb/week…
  • What is miso paste and where would I find it in the grocery store?
  • Don't know if this will help, but I've noticed I get heartburn when I'm really stressed about something. Try some de-stress tactics, and see if that helps. It usually doesn't stop for me though till I resolve the issue that's bothering me, so I work on resolving it. Hope your feeling better soon....:flowerforyou:
  • DWLZ.com has many fast food restaurant listings, and your right, it's too easy and soooooo bad for us. I use the site mostly to STOP myself from hitting the drive thru, by seeing just how many calories that burger I want to get has. Then I try to find something in the list that fits with my diet. If I can't, I'll stop in a…
  • :blushing: Sorry! Got carried away. :embarassed: Forgive me?
  • I've got to ask....what state are you in....I'm in the Sunshine state, Florida. And P.S. I bet you do stand a chance :flowerforyou:
  • Sounds Yummmmy! Were those the small pudding mix box (probably but I thought I'd ask anyway) or the large box?
  • It would definitely get me to the gym every week too...lucky you! I don't know if I could stop watching......(drooling:love: ).........long enough to work out either. Hoping you get your wish!
  • Tamim1974, You wouldn't happen to know how many servings this makes would you? Sounds awfully wonderful and under 200 cals a serving! Never had real tiramisu but always wanted to try it, now my diet won't stop me.
  • Great website, great recipes, thanks a lot! I try to cook when I can, but over the years learning to cook on my own, I never really found and "normal" good tasting diet recipes. They always use stuff like shark steaks and salmon, not food that my young son would eat. So Amy's cook books will be great. Here's to you…
  • Timing is everything, isn't it? Award winning photos take a lot of patience and perserverance....Ansel Adams showed us that...and Clyde Butcher (the new Ansel), two of my favorites.

  • I've been a member for just over 2 weeks and wow, it's harder than I thought! As my "name" says, I'm trying to reach a lost of 120lbs with positive thinking. (If I think it's gone, it will be eventually) I think it's really great to have the message boards, and I wanted to mention something about what I've found…
