I have that problem too, and I tried something that I caught on the few Paul McKenna tv episodes I got to watch. They chose several people walking down the street and offered to feed them a full meal. Then the next day they blind folded the people and fed them the same meal as the the day before, and they stopped before…

Wow, I had abnormal cells found in a PAP about 4 years ago, they had me come back in 6 months for another PAP and every 6 months till I'd had 4 normal results. There is several factors that could cause an abnormal result according to my doctor. If she's young and I were her (maybe wanting children in the future), I would…

Thanks for the response. I was confused about them being called 'shirataki' noodles, because it sounds like a type of mushroom.....but the noodles are not made from the mushrooms, they come from a plant that is not a fungus. I hope we're talking about the same kind of noodles? They aren't supposed to have any flavor…

Went to the website...beautiful...being in the "flatlands", but originally from PA and familiar with the Poconos..(part of my childhood was spend at the foot of Bake oven knob)....it was a wonderful reminder. I've been in the city for too long:grumble: and miss the beauty of God's creations on such a grand scale. Felt so…

Great, let me know how they worked for you, I think I might go ahead and order some too, it sounds like the solution to the pasta lover/ weight issues dilemma. Wow, fiber instead of carbs!

Has anyone ever used these? I stumbled across the webpage while searching for spaghetti squash cooking instructions. http://www.miraclenoodle.com/?gclid=CJT86dvGz5ICFQUilgodEy72Hg It sounds like a great alternative to regular noodles (or spaghetti squash), but I'd like to hear from anyone who might have actually tried them.

While on the topic, I found this while looking for ways to cook spaghetti squash, the kids might like these for a snack too. Did You Know? Any squash seeds can be roasted just like pumpkin seeds (pumpkin is a kind of squash). They are low carb, nutritious, and delicious: The pumpkin carving ritual wouldn't be complete…

I forgot to mention I knew a female body builder (guys used to insist she was a guy, not a girl, and she'd get harassed for being a guy in girls clothes when she was out at night) and she used to come to work with a mixing bowl (I mean like 5-6 cups full) full of regular oatmeal for breakfast when she was training for an…

I was having trouble with this a while back so I asked my pharmacist what she recommended as an aid that wasn't harsh.....she suggested docusate sodium, usp, which is generic for Colace. I will soften things up, till your body adjusts to the new foods. I was taking 1 softgel 3X day for a couple weeks, then went down to…

OK, call me crazy, but unless you want to go down to 2% body fat like the guys and gals who do professional body building....aren't you supposed to have what you are calling a "belly"? HEALTHY women are supposed to have a certain amount of body fat, I'm not sure of the exact amount around 20-30% I believe. I know when I…

It might be listed under 'Italian ice' or 'sno-cone'which is just other names for the same shaved ice treat. In Florida around here there is a truck called 'Polar Cup' similar to an ice-cream truck (and it does sell ice that IS yellow, ladies, tee hee!) Maybe you'll find it listed under one of those names.

(I read your profile as well as this post, probably should have mentioned it)

How can you look in a mirror and not realize you are beautiful! (Believe me I know how, but I'm telling you to wake up) I know you think you are so ugly because you aren't the weight you'd like to be, but one thing I've noticed is that I've seen very large people with tons of friends...because they don't dwell on what they…

This is copy and pasted from the Campbell's website: (Quote) Why the concern about sodium (salt)? Increased sodium in the diet has been associated with an increase in blood pressure. This association varies by age, gender, race, and family history. The latest Dietary Guidelines recommend keeping sodium intakes to less than…

Do you find this type of bread at a health food store? I have never seen low sodium bread here (in the USA) in the regular supermarkets, in fact I didn't know there was such a bread! :noway:

Yikes!!!!!! I changed up my nutrition info on my food diary and went back a couple of days to look at my sodium intake.... THANKS for the heads up ALERT! Waaaaay:noway: too much sodium in my foods. I absolutely have to start cooking from scratch again.:grumble:

I made a version of these tonight, with mushrooms, red bell pepper, and onion with the scrambled egg substitute, with feta cheese and bacon for the topping. With all the vegies, I only used 3/4 cup of eggs (90 cal), 1/4 cup skim mild (23 cal), 2 slices bacon (80 cal), and 1/2 oz of feta cheese (40 cal) for all 10 biscuits,…

Ditto for me, I'm so ashamed....I made pilsbury buttery tasting biscuits (my kid is 14 and weighs under 90 lbs, lucky he didn't inherit my weight issues, more like under weight issues) for my son to eat for snacks this week (spring break) and I couldn't resist...I ate 1 for breakfast with 2 tbsp country gravy, and 1 later…

Mmmmm sounds wonderful, but since strawberries () are in season here, I'm going to do this with them and maybe vanilla or strawberry yogurt. Funny, I was just wondering how I could make some little strawberry "pies" ! Didn't think of yogurt for the filling though, which was what had me stumped, great idea. Thanks…

:flowerforyou: Thanks for all the great ideas, y'all. I'm so glad my doctor told me about this place, I've learned so much in just a short time! (even though it was a replacement for physical therapy:grumble: for my back, don't ask me how she figured this was an even switch?.....I have arthritis and scoliosis in my spine)…

Celery and natural peanut butter.....mmmm, makes the celery go down easier! LOL  Natural peanut butter doesn't have the "bad" oils like the big name brands. It also shouldn't have sugar added. Just peanuts and salt. It may not taste the same, but then that makes me wonder if the craving or desire for peanut…

Funny how we forget doing things when we were younger like "air" bicycle that they taught us in school gym class! Thanks :flowerforyou: for reminding me, and the idea of taking it one step farther later with the "crunch" added to it. I was trying to do leg lifts but got a really bad pulling sensation in my lower abdomen…
