you people must not be going to the right aquacise class. i go three days a week and we do stretching for about 15 minutes and then we do 30-35 minutes of straight-up exercise. we work our butts off. and then we cool down with some more stretching. i use the water aerobics/water calestetics and log it as 30 minutes. trust…

on tuesday i tried the elliptical machine for the first time. that thing is EVIL! oh my upper thighs burned after only 10 minutes. but, i'm getting right back on it tomorrow.

i finally got up the nerve to use the arm machines at the gym (have no idea what they are really called). i did 3 sets of 10 reps on both of them. my shoulders feel it!

for me it was the pain and shortness of breath that made me think exercise was out out of reach for me. when you struggle to get out of the chair or off the couch, walk (limp) to the bathroom and back and feel out of breath by the time you get back to the couch, even the thought of "exercise" seems impossible. i weighed…

ok, walked 1/2 mile outside yesterday, 1/2 mile on treadmill today and swam 1/2 mile doing laps. slow progress this month, but my knee is getting better.

oh i am so pissed at myself! on wednesday i fell off my bike and really hurt my left knee. the e.r. did a x-ray and nothing is broken, but i have to wrap it and ice and elevate and stay off of it for a week. ugh!!! so on tuesday and wednesday i am going back to the gym and going to swim laps to at least get some exercise…

as soon as you are cleared for exercise, go to the pool and do stretching and light exercise and swim.
