I was the biggest stress eater in the world!! Now in times of stress I exercise, and it helps immensely. When I would get stressed or upset in the past, my first instinct was to eat (with the mindset of "I've had a bad day, I deserve something yummy to eat") to comfort myself, and I had been that way for most of my life.…

I do post pictures of my weight loss on Facebook occasionally, and people have been very supportive and enthusiastic about my success (so far anyway). My opinion is that it's my Facebook profile, I post about what I want, and if someone doesn't like it, they can unfriend me. But I haven't really faced any negativity thus…

Agree 100%. And I wasn't successful with my weight loss (currently down 86lbs) until I accepted all that as true.

Yeah I used to follow them on Facebook, but they posted stuff like that all the time. So I stopped following them. No wonder so many people are misinformed when it comes to health and weight loss.

I love buying work out clothes. And I like my workout clothes as bright as possible.

As stated already, exercise is not required for weight loss. It is so so so good for health though, both physical and mental (for me, anyway). Plus it allows me to eat a bit more, which is pretty nice.

I get a lot of comments on my weight loss, at least a few every day. It doesn't bother me at all, but no one has been rude or passive aggressive about it...just complimenting. But I do feel awkward when I respond, and never really know what to say.

Currently I've lost the equivalent of 17 bricks, which is 86lbs. :)

How much easier it was to lose the weight once I let go of all the bullsh*t excuses I've been clinging to for years.

Thanks everyone! @fitfatty88 I got it from Zulily. @annachristine1013 I work out 5-6 days a week (running, elliptical, weight lifting) and stay around 1600-1700 calories a day :)

Down 86.6lbs since January 5.

Huge NSV for me. I ran my first 5K race. I finished in 33:08 which was under my goal of 35:00. So proud!!

Down 86.6lbs since January. About 18 more to go.

Weigh and/or measure (preferably weigh) everything you eat. Track it as accurately as possible. Find a form of activity that you enjoy or at least don't hate, and do it often. Be patient, and have realistic expectations. People always want to lose tons of weight fast, and that's just not healthy or sustainable. Be mentally…

I've lost 86lbs since January. 18 more to go. I count calories and exercise 5-6 days a week. I do both cardio and weight lifting, and recently started running, which I'm loving.

Most likely. I have proven that I can't be trusted if I don't.

"You look like a kid wearing her mom's clothes!"

I accidentally did fasted cardio one morning (honestly just didn't think about the fact that I hadn't eaten and was wanting to get it done) and yeah, never again. Some people swear by it, but my body hates it. Worst workout ever.

For me, seeing results helped keep me motivated. Seeing the scale drop, or have clothes fit better, things like that made it a lot easier to keep going. Now I'm at a point where it's basically habit. I know that's not overly helpful, but the bottom line is that you just have to keep going, no matter what. Some days are…

My lifestyle has changed a lot. I used to sit around a lot, used to eat large portions of calorie dense foods multiple times a day, used to complain a lot about being fat, yet did nothing about it. I used to shovel food in my mouth when I was stressed, bored, happy, sad, angry... I'm down 85lbs since January. Now I…

When I walk on the treadmill, it's usually at 4.0-4.2 mph which feels very brisk for me. (I'm 5'7"). My run is at about 11.5 minutes per mile.

Those weight loss teas are a waste, and they won't boost metabolism or anything that they claim. I do drink tea often...I drink it when I feel like I want to eat out of habit or boredom and not actual hunger. It really helps with that. It also helps when I need something sweet. My favourite is Banana Split from David's.…

I work out on my lunch break. I also walk around the office every hour or so.

I log any junk I eat, which usually includes a chunky Kit kat a couple times a week, and a bowl of ice cream here and there. I would say I have a "junk food" item at least 3 times a week. 82lbs down so far.

Every 25lbs, I order a little 25lb weight plate charm for my keys. I have 3 now and hope to get 1 more.

I was a huge emotional eater. I turned to food in times of stress, anger, sadness, happiness, boredom. I learned from an early age that food could bring me comfort. I started my weight loss in January and my emotional eating was my biggest obstacle. I started forcing myself to exercise instead of eat when I was upset or…

My face. My arms have been the slowest by far.

I've lost 80lbs while being on an antidepressant. If your meds are helping then definitely don't switch. Maybe try tweaking your food and exercise a bit. And make sure you are logging the most accurate entries (some are way off).
