I started with a BMI of 42 (it's now 25). I lost the first 35lbs just walking or using the elliptical for 30 minutes 3-4 times a week. After 35lbs, I added in weight lifting. Then once I was down around 75lbs, I started running. I would recommend starting out slow, with something you enjoy doing, or at least don't mind…

When I was morbidly obese, I would say I was kind of lazy, sometimes. I was nowhere near as active as I am now (at a healthy weight now) and it was partially due to laziness and partially because it was physically harder for me to be active, and I would get discouraged and give up, or give up because I felt self conscious…

I have the Blaze and I think it's accurate-ish most days. (Except the HRM, I don't trust that at all). But that being said, I have it and love it for its functions, usefulness, and motivation, not because I think the numbers it gives me are totally accurate and can be taken as such. They are just for the sake of…

I started at 263lbs. For the first 60lbs or so, I lost 10-12 per month. Then it was 6-8 per month. Since hitting about 85lbs lost, it's been 2-4 per month. (Currently down 102lbs).

"You don't have to eat less. You just have to eat clean." "Just don't eat anything that has its own television commercial." Same person.

I'm 5'7" Started Jan 5, 2015 I have loose skin on my stomach, thighs and arms. (I've had 2 kids, so that has contributed to my stomach). :)

Thanks so much everyone!

I work 7-4 at a desk job, and have lost 98lbs in the last 13 months. The most important thing has been controlling my calorie intake. But in terms of activity, I work out on my lunch break, and also in the evenings after my little ones (5 and 2) go to bed. I park as far from the building as I can. I use any excuse I can to…

They don't bother me. I'm awkward when I'm complimented though.

I started out just walking. Added in weights after I was down about 35lbs. Started running at about 75lbs down. Now I'm down 97lbs. Still running and doing weights. Going to add in yoga and floor hockey. Diet wise, calorie counting. Started at 1800 a day, now at 1600-1700.

I started forcing myself to work out after having bad days. Almost my whole life, I dealt with stress, depression etc with food, and yo yo dieted a million times. It wasn't until I turned to exercise that I really started making headway in that area. It was extremely difficult at first. I would want to cry because I wanted…

I don't say anything unless I'm directly asked for my opinion. I've been asked how I lost the weight a lot, and people either seem disappointed when I tell them portion control and regular exercise, or they don't quite believe that that's "all" I've done. But if someone mentions a cleanse, or detox, or wraps, or something…

You will have weeks where you don't lose, or lose very little. Just keep going.

I'm 2.6lbs from 100lbs lost. Overall it's a huge goal and not a mini one I guess...but it's the current goal I'm working towards.

This is December 2014 vs December 2015

I've lost 97lbs and still forget that I'm not that 264lb girl anymore. I've grabbed my old size at a store a few times. I've looked in the mirror many times in the last year and been surprised, because I forgot that I'm not obese anymore. It's weird. But I've heard from other people that it's not uncommon.

I workout on my lunch break. Or at night after my kids go to bed, before I go to bed. Sometimes both.

My BMI has gone from 41 to 26 in the last year, by eating less and doing regular exercise. I'm sure WLS is the right choice for some people and I would never disparage someone for going that route. But it is definitely possible to achieve without surgery for many people.

I was. I guess I probably always will be, but I've worked very hard over the past year to overcome my emotional eating. I would use stress or a bad day as an excuse to eat something delicious (and LOTS of it). "I had a bad day, I deserve to eat a pizza for dinner then have ice cream for dessert" was my mindset pretty much.…

I am 5'7". I lost my first 75lbs eating 1800 a day. I'm now 166lbs, (down 97.4lbs) eating 1600 and still losing.

I work 7-4, office job as well. I'm lucky and have a gym at work that I can use on my lunch break. The downside is that I can only workout for 30 minutes max, and don't have time to shower right after. So I do a half hour of cardio on my lunch break everyday. The rest of my workouts are in the evenings after my kids go to…

I've lost 94. I do have some saggy skin. Not a lot, but some. Sure I wish it wasn't saggy. But I would take the saggy skin over the excessive fat I had there before any day of the week. I don't have wrinkles. And since I lost the weight, I've been told by several people that I look younger!

I miss not having to get new clothes regularly, and I miss being able to wear outfits for longer than a month or two. At first it was fun, but it's getting expensive constantly buying smaller clothes, even though I hit up sales and even secondhand when I can. Other than that, I don't miss anything about my obese life.

I have been a yo yo dieter for most of my adult life (I'm 35 now). I tried all the fads, and would lose some, then gain it all back and then some within a fairly short amount of time. It wasn't until I dropped my excuses, dropped my previous "all or nothing" approach, and adopted the CICO mentality and started working on…

So disgusting. The "peanut butter" may have scarred me for life.

I also pre-log. I weigh out my portion, and that's all I get. It's hard though. I'm the kind of person who will eat until it's all gone if it tastes good, whether I'm full or not. Which is how I got obese in the first place. Now I've lost over 94lbs in the last year through portion control and exercise. But it sure isn't…

Monday - Friday I work all day. So on these days, I do cardio on my lunch break. Either 30 minutes of running on the treadmill, or 30 minutes on the elliptical. Sometimes I take one workday off in the week, but not always. In the evenings during the week, I do Stronglifts 5x5 Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Saturday is my…
