My original goal was 159.8, which puts me just inside a healthy BMI. It's a goal of mine to have that damn healthy BMI. I'm less than 10lbs away from that now and I think I'm going to keep going past that, to somewhere around 145-150.

I could have written this post a little over a year ago. I had tried and failed so many times. Lost and regained so many times. Just keep going, don't give up no matter what. I've lost over 94lbs in just over a year and while I still have 10 or so to go, I consider myself a success (and a work in progress, of course). 2…

I can fit in my toddler's child sized recliner. Totally doesn't matter, and I don't think I would ever choose to actually sit there. But I'm still excited.

I set goals, but no dates.

I have 2 coffees a day. The first one I will put in one tablespoon of creamer. The one I use is only 35 calories per tablespoon. My second coffee will just have a splash of milk in it.

I survived a 5km run outside in the freezing cold! (Edited to add, I'm a semi new runner).

Yes. I'm down to 169 from 263 and am told constantly by well meaning friends and family that I don't need to lose more. "Where will it come from??" "You'll disappear!" At 5'7" and 169 im far from disappearing. Lol. I could lose another 20-25lbs for sure. They mean well and no one has been too pushy, so it doesn't really…

And one more because I'm so proud!! :)

94.4lbs in a year.

I think about food all the time. I'm constantly planning my next snack or meal. But I did that when I was obese too. I don't feel deprived. I feel comfortable now...before I always felt like I was bursting at the seams because of how much I overate.

I recently reached the 160s which I haven't seen in maybe 15 years. I'm down over 94lbs in the last year. Can't wait to see the 150s.

I really, really recommend eating more than 1200 calories. I started out eating 1800 a day, and now I weigh 169 (and am 5'7") and eat 1600-1700, and am still losing. 1200 is quite low for your stats.

It's possible and lots of people have done it. I wouldn't get too caught up in the time frame though. As you get smaller, the weight comes off slower. I've been at this for a year as of Jan 5, and am down 94.4lbs. I kind of hoped to reach my goal of losing 104lbs within a year...but since I hit about 80lbs lost, it's…

Whenever I make one pot meals or something like that for the whole family, I log everything into the recipe builder. I weigh everything, then divide it into however many portions I need. Then I can say how many portions the recipe is, and the recipe builder will give me the calories per portion.

I'm 5'7". Starting weight was 263.8lbs. Current weight is 169.4lbs. My original goal was to get below 160 (healthy BMI) but I think I will aim for 145-150. I have a large frame.

i used to have protein shakes for breakfast every morning and now I just have them occasionally. Mine would consist of: 1 cup almond milk, 75g of banana, a big handful of spinach, PB2 (1-2tablespoons), 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (from Costco), and some ice. It was somewhere around 230-250 calories.

Reach my goal weight (I'm less than 10lbs away) and run my first half marathon.

I drink tea to help the sweet cravings. It really does help.

I planned on enjoying myself and not counting anything on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, then getting back on track on Boxing Day. Which is exactly what I did. I avoided the scale for a few days because that was better for my mind. I weighed myself this morning and was up less than half a pound from what I was before…
-
I agree with this 100%.

I went overboard on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. But got right back on track the next day, so I'm not too worried. I haven't weighed myself yet, but whatever I "gained" was likely mostly water weight and will come off quickly (if it's not gone already) so the scale number isn't too important to me.
-
I've tried many other methods, but calorie counting is the only thing that works for me. I've lost 93lbs calorie counting.
-
I planned on indulging and not counting anything on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, I enjoyed myself a little TOO much, but it's okay. I got back on track today, and the extra weight will come off in no time.
-
I get 5000-7000 steps on my rest days.

Absolutely worth it, in my opinion. I have a Fitbit One, and it's been a very big contributor to my 90lb weightloss over the past 10 months. It's extremely motivating for me.
-
Just calorie counting for me.

I don't think there is a healthy and sustainable way to lose that much that fast for someone your size. Honestly, one of the biggest keys to success is having realistic expectations.
-
My starting weight was 263.8lbs. (I'm 5'7"). I lost 75lbs eating 1800 calories a day. I now eat 1600-1700 and am down 89lbs and still losing. Edited to add: I exercise 5-6 days a week, a mix of cardio and weights.
-
Have realistic expectations, and never give up.

It's always different. They don't let me weigh in naked at the doctors office. Lol I honestly pay no mind to any scale but the one at home.
