Full fat, I eat smaller portions because I get so full.

I had the flu and it put me in the hospital. It was miserable. I really thought I was going to die. That made me rethink it.

I think the first thing that should be taught is to eat only when hungry and stop when satisfied. Next, what a true serving size looks like and last teaching nutrition and calories can depend on age.

I had the flu in April 2016. It put me in the hospital on IV's in 12 hours after falling ill. I now get why people die from the flu. So this year I was told by my doctor that I will be gettting a flu shot. I did.

I have a home gym. I have had public gym memberships in the past but the entire experience annoys me from packing my clothes to driving back home. There isn't anything I like about it. I have no problem using my home gym which is an elliptical 2 days a week and dumbells 3 days a week, 30-40 minutes each day.

I used to take over the counter weight loss pills but when I heard the news on what this drug was doing to people I quit. It's just not worth it. While a pill may help you get the pounds off quick, you actually aren't doing yourself any favors because you're not learning self control.

I've tried lots of things. Some worked and some didn't. I always revert back to counting calories because of the freedom of choice it gives. Find the routine that works for you, don't be afraid to change it up if it gets boring. Keep trying and never give up!!

Hi Monica, I remember being 20, it wasn't an easy age for me. Regardless of your weight, you are still you, reach deep, you have the motivation and drive to accomplish this. I've spent a lot of my adult life over weight because I let anxiety and emotions rule what I ate and how much. I completely regret it. Now is the time…

You can do this!! Be patient with yourself and the scale. When the scale isn't cooperating for me, I take my measurements and resolve to be even more diligent in tracking. Lots of different diets and exercise plans works. If you get bored with one thing, try another rather than stopping. I always get a lot of flack from my…

You can do this!!

I've learned that every little bit helps. I quit coffee creamer, I added a standing desk at work because standing burns a few more calories than sitting - granted not much but it's still calories burned and I am sick of sitting all day as an office worker, be as consistent as possible with calories, sleep, exercise and…

I'm a person who always gets rediculously sore everytime I start working out. What I finally figured out that works for me is that when I start a new workout or if I haven't worked out in a long time I go through the video and a slower and lower intensity. I might do it as a low impact and make one rep for every two of…

Thanks for sharing, I'm going to give that one a try, looks amazing!

Wow! That is awesome! Congrats!

Everything that comes out of the mouth of overweight people who swear all they eat is a cracker a day. Then there's the underweight people who swear they just have a fast metabolism and they eat all day, but then you find out they ate an egg white for breakfast and an apple for lunch. I'm plagued by both kinds at my work.…

I find it very sad that she would trivialize other people's struggles. When I've encountered people like that in the past it's usually a mechanism they use to cover their own personal issues so the spotlight is on someone else other than them. She certainly has her fair share of problems and struggles in her life, she may…

Nothing has worked for me until I tried Intermittent Fasting. I'm a Monday-Wednesday-Friday faster although most people only fast 2 days a week. I did that and lost a pound a week but seem to be losing 1.5 lbs a week on 4:3 MWF. I've lost a total of 8 pounds in 16 days - don't freak out everyone. The reason why nothing has…

You look absolutely gorgeous, healthy, and you are just glowing!! Congratulations!

I've been doing 4:3 M-W-F for 2 weeks now. Tomorrow is my second official weigh-in and I'm hoping and keeping my fingers crossed it's a good one. My body seems to be adjusting pretty well to 4:3 and having a 100 calorie protein lunch/400 calorie dinner has helped me manage my hunger. Feel free to add me.

No but then I can't seem to be that perfect as to eat every day exactly as that day.

Hi Everyone - this is my first time posting here. I've been doing 4:3 for the last 2 weeks and it seems to be working really well for me. I'm fasting Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 100 cal lunch and 400 cal dinner. Although I've slipped up here and there I'm down 6 pounds as of today but my official weigh-in for the week isn't…

Oh yes, Dairy Queen. My husband says the exact same thing! And he needs to lose weight by the way - even the doctor told him so 2 weeks ago. But I don't take it as he's not being supportive. I figure if I am ever going to be successful I'm going to have to learn to deal with excess food around whether it's knowing my…

Amazing weight loss! Congrats to all of you! Whatever works for you, keep working it!

Good point! I made a mexican plate of food the other night with rice, lean ground beef, lettuce, rotel, sour cream for 400 calories and it was fabulous!

According to addiction experts, yes food can be an addiction. medicalnewstoday.com/info/addiction/

Yes I'm eating fat and I believe too much. I ate 100 calories of cheese for lunch and then a grilled ham and cheese sandwich for dinner. Normally I eat better than that but it was just one of those nights.

4:3 for me - just started this week which is actually my 4th attempt since last year. Still trying to nail down the right combination that works. First two fast days were easier than today but since my pants fit better today, I'm determined!
-
I think this fails for people because they eat too many calories on their feast day. It still takes a reduction of calories over a weeks time to burn fat so if you're eating 500 on fast days and 3,000 on feast days you won't get anywhere.

I'm doing it. They also call it intermittent fasting as there are many ways to do it. Some do 5 feast and 2 fast; 4:3 (that's what I'm doing), there's a EODD - strictly every other day. I've tried out different combinations and I think I've finally figured out what combination works for me. Some recommend 1 meal, some say…
