I bought clothes along the way. As soon as things started getting too big. But I didn't go out and buy brand new clothes, I bought everything at thrift stores. I actually should go through all those jeans and bring them up to my favorite store.

I failed every time I went on a "diet". The biggest reason was breakfast. I don't eat in the morning, never have. But then I'd start a diet and I thought I had to eat 3 meals a day. Once I eat it's on, I get hungry. I'm so happy for these forums because I found out that that you should do what works for you. Everybody's…

The avoid list is too harsh for me but then I saw this 2. Do not consume alcohol in any form, not even for cooking. Counts me out, but good luck

I skip breakfast, I'm not hungry at all in the morning, I push lunch back as late as I can. It gives me enough calories at night to play with.

Logging it made me stop doing it. It's like everything else in life, you have to be accountable for your actions, just for yourself. You'll be okay, it happens to everyone.

OP I looked at your profile and you've lost 5 pounds in 30 days. I think that's great! I have a very hard time losing even one pound a week. So Well Done

I see a big difference, you look great!

I'm always curious why these discussions get started when this is a CICO website. OP mactaffy428 has never once commented after he started the thread. What's up with that?

My daughter is vegetarian but was vegan for about a year. I find it pretty easy to make food for her now but when she went vegan she started cooking a lot of her own meals. I don't feed my family a lot of meat but the meat we do use comes from a farmer that I know treats the animals well. You can add me if you want, I have…

I get a bowl and come home and make my own tacos out of it, I use store bought tortillas. I can make one bowl stretch to 3 meals. I appreciate that they try to buy free range meat. I have animal rights welfare issues. Plus it's in walking distance of my house and the only times I buy food out are when I've had a few too…

This is why I weigh in every single day. My weight can fluctuate 3.5 to 4 pounds depending on who knows what. Then every Saturday morning I average my weight. That's the weight I go with and record it here if it's a loss. When I'm trying to lose I'm just looking for a downward trend. If I try hard enough I lose .5 to 1…

Maybe some avocado?

I only have like 8 or 9% body weight I want to lose, is that okay?
-
I doubt it, I mean if your not losing. So are you eating 2300 calories? Cause I would walk 3 miles to increase my calories to 2300 but I have to stay in the 1400 range to lose. But then I'm old so...

Awesome! Well done!

Me too, cold. When I was at my thinnest, 18 years ago before babies, I had to wear long underwear everyday during winter. Everyone was fine with the temperature in the office. Now I'm using it as a motivational tool to get up and jog in place for 2 minuets every 15 minuets during the day. The jogging warms me right up.

I gained 4 pounds because of Holiday treats, they are gone that goodness. I made these pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting and just kept slivering away at them. Because you know one little sliver doesn't have any calories  Then two hours later there's the equivalent of three bars gone. Anyway I started telling my…

Yeah I agree with CharlieBeans when I said hit your macros, what I really meant is what she said, get your protein.
-
Yup it sucks having to weigh every single little thing you put in your mouth! I cook so I have to weigh by ounces or pounds then convert everything into grams. So I quit doing it. I was 1.5 pounds from goal when I gave up. So now I've gained 8 pounds since August, lol. Here's what I've noticed, if it's too hard to log I…

Are you starving in the morning? I don't ever eat breakfast. I used to when I started a diet, back in the day, but every time I "dieted" I completely failed. I blame that on breakfast. I prefer my calories at dinner. But if I were starving in the morning I'd probably eat last nights dinner leftovers or some cheese.

If you're full at 1600 - 1700 I wouldn't eat more. Make sure to get your macros. Isn't intermittent fasting the best? I love it, I do 18/6 too. Today I had to eat early because I got up so early. But normally it's 3:00 to 9:00 for me.

You could look up raw vegan restaurants in your area and just get a few meals for take-out. If you have any that is.

Plus I'm a stay at home mom with a messy, cluttered home. If you looked up lazy in the dictionary there would be a picture of me. I'm really sorry to have come off like that. Please forgive me.
-
Oh no I didn't mean that in a mean way,at all. I'm sorry. I just meant that you're not eating much. I'm in awe actually and I wish I could have such discipline. I would never call anyone lazy because I'm actually really lazy. I barely get in 5000 steps a day and I don't exercise at all. I still lose at 1400 cals and I'm 56.
-
I just had a peek at your food diary. I'm surprised you can do anything at all besides sit on the couch. You hardly eat anything. If I were your age I'd be losing 10 pounds a week doing what your doing.

mfp over-calculates calories burnt from exercise. Most people only eat 1/2 back.

Nuts yes, Nutella no. Nutella's number one ingredient is sugar, which I really don't have a problem with but number two ingredient is palm oil. However Justin's chocolate hazelnut spread is delicious and it's number one ingredient is hazelnuts with a second ingredient of almonds. I'd also eat a lot of meat if I wanted to…

Fitbit doesn't work with older devices. Is your employer buying you a new cell phone too?
-
I bought a fitbit but it does nothing for me. My phone is too old and my computer is too old, so I can't use all of it's features, waste of money. The old pedometer I keep in my pocket tracks steps for a week and it's funny because if I count out 100 steps my cheap pedometer counts right around 100 where as the fitbit…
