Im in the SAME situation with my man, (Marine). I will tell you my view on my man, and maybe you can understand a little.... His diet is awful, fast food, food at work, etc. He works late, and rarely eats with us, he is a little biased because I have experimented with some crazy **** before, so I almost dont blame him. He…

I don't like to think of Paleo as a diet, but more like a template. Start with the basics. Give it 30 days (to cleanse out food additives that can cause addiction), then if you want add back a few things at a time to see how you really feel eating them (quality dairy or sourdough bread, etc). Its a great way to start, but…

To begin with, our cell membrane walls are made of FAT, and they need GOOD fat, not rancid fats. Coconut oil is a good fat. Somewhere in between, there are thousands of people who eat coconut oil, saturated fat, becoming healthy, and shedding body fat, maintaining muscles. And last but not least, there is beginning to be…

I throw Fage greek yogurt on everything! (bowls of beef and avocado, tacos, fruit) i use unflavored protein powder in pancakes, omelets (makes them fluffier). i use chocolate protein powder & egg to make quick single serve brownies, as well as blended in coffee with milk and ice for a mocha coffee drink!

Cholesterol is so important for the body, the body will make it. But the kind of cholesterol the body makes is not the optimal kind. Eating cholesterol will raise your bodys cholesterol at first, but the body will down regulate its cholesterol making, and your levels will fall back to better than before. Lots of Paleo…

red meat, eggs, dairy are perfectly fine everyday, even over goal, especially if they were raised naturally!

everytime i see that i think of how ripe bananas are more nutritious "It turns out that the brown is a sign that the antioxidant levels have risen. The brown spots occur when the chlorophyll in the fruit begins to break down and turn into powerful antioxidants called nonfluorescing chlorophyll catabolytes (NCCs) that are…

It is frustrating. But for August, I put away the scale, put away the measuring tape, and Im just eating my set number every day, lifting heavy, walking fasted every morning, getting my SLEEP (930 bed time!), and getting my rest! I have been trying to lose for 2+ years i give up trying to post an image geez

I eat mostly Loosely Primal... meaning i eat just enough other foods to annoy Primal/Paleo loyalists. I eat lots of dairy (Fage greek yogurt, cottage cheese, cream, milk, cheese) and potatoes (sweet or white) rice (white only, no brown) I have kids, so I tend to eat bread, english muffins, or other carbs, but my rule is I…

I did not mean you would die. Just meant, if you want long term success, the best advice is what I just said. Sure anyone can lose weight, but the hard part is keeping it off. And it gets harder to lose the next time we try, so might as well do it right the first time! We need to fuel our lives, get our bodies running…

To be completely honest, you never want your Net Calories to be below your BMR (calories needed to lay in bed and breath all day). To find your TDEE and BMR http://www.scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ If you find your TDEE, do a 10-15% cut, and dont eat less than that!!

Good discussion! It is very interesting stuff. They say the lil male spermies are fast, but die off quickly, and the girl spermies are slower, but live longer, and it can depend on what day of your cycle and what position the sperm is... applied. I did know about the ph thing. I dont care which sex is my next baby, I just…

You can use both calculators and choose an average between the two. I would recommend moderate exercise, but you didn't say what kind of exercise it is. An hour and a half everyday? (Seems like too much to me! lol)

Ive been wanting to put together a spreadsheet with the best foods with their prices laid out as price per calorie, price per gram of protein lol

Your symptoms sound exactly like those complaints of many people with food allergy. Grain, gluten, sugar, inflammation in the joints, etc... just a thought.

Sounds good to me!

Nice pic you made, BTW!

I need more friends that eat this way too!!! Add me, peeps!

I say, keep eating at the same level you already are. You are already used to it, dont overthink it. (Unless of course you have a really active day, eat more, lol) You are half way through! Great job!!

so much to read! where is there to read about the stages??

Newbies can (usually) put on some muscle while strength training in a calorie deficit, usually because you are getting enough calories from body fat. But after a short while when/if your metabolism slows down, if you don't up the calories you run the risk of not fueling the muscle growth any longer.

Hi! I work with my grandma a little. We do isometric exercises. There are so many benefits to working what we can of our bodies, they improve other systems in our bodies such as hormones, mood, etc. The larger the muscle the more influence such as squats working legs. Im not sure what range of motion you are capable, but…

My favorite fat burner is..... FAT. I eat about 70% of my calories as dietary fat, so my body is always primed for burning fat! I am a fat burning machine!!!
