  • Looks like a fajita topping to me. Argh, now I want chips, guacamole, and a margarita. Oh well. 🤦‍♀️

  • Just drink your calories. Lol. Ok, I believe in some moderation while on vacation, but not much. Try to eat a lighter breakfast and lunch if you can and enjoy dinner. Save all the room for cocktails. Haha. Plan on putting on some weight, don’t fret it, and deal with it when you get back.
  • Honestly, and not trying to be a *kitten*, but this is an issue between you and your therapist. People can become obsessive or anxiety ridden over anything. But it has nothing to do with mfp.
  • My husband is like this. Probably looks like he eats like a pig. BUT, sometimes he also doesn’t eat almost anything. So depends on if you were with him all day every day to truly get an accurate picture. Also, the guy doesn’t sit still. Literally. Not even when he’s sleeping. 😒
  • Yes, a calorie is a calorie. The food doesn’t matter. But there are less calories in certain foods and certain foods are more filling. So... Eat a healthy variety of foods and save some room for splurges. I like red wine, and I fit it into my diet. You should fit in treats for yourself too.
  • 31?! Lol. Save this post so you can laugh at yourself 20 years from now. No. Your metabolism has not slowed at 31. I’m 49 ans still doing ok. And I have a 4 year old. Haha. You could always have a child. Breastfeeding will rev up your metabolism like you cannot even fathom. Not to even mention the exercise from chasing the…
  • Op, I’m sorry you are dealing with this. You deserve better. I do think it’s become unhealthy for you if you carry food scales to restaurants. Maybe weight watchers point system would work better for you? Good luck and hugs.
  • Thanks. The fitbit was the one I’m considering since I’m big on my fitbit. Just wondered if it justified the price.

  • Honestly, it sounds like much more than a craving. If you cannot stop eating them even when you are full, and you begin that process every time you lose some weight, it sounds like self sabotage. I’m not saying this in a bitchy way cause I’m a firm believer in therapy, but do you have a therapist and have you spoken about…
  • Sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t. You certainly can if you’re hungry. Or use some of them. Up to you.
  • Lol. Someone doesn’t know how to use their instant pot yet. So sad. Try some indian or chinese dishes in there. You will be very surprised. No, I would never use it to cook a whole chicken either. That’s just silly.
  • You can definitely return your instant pot. And then you can regret it forever. Your choice. Or better yet, send it to me. I already have two, but I’m sure I could still put that baby to use.
  • What do you mean by work? You are moving, therefore you are burning calories. Ime, any exercise routine you enjoy and can stick with will be the best for you. For example, I hate bike riding, so a spin class is probably never going to help me long term. Whereas I like to hike, run, or skate. Therefore, any of those would…
  • I’m so sorry for your loss.
  • Can I ask how you got so picky? If you know. My husband is also very picky and I just don’t understand it. I have theories, but am very curious. I’m about the least picky eater you can meet. I’ll try almost anything. So it truly peaks my curiosity. Thanks if you feel like answering. :)
  • No ahi? No sushi, spicy tuna roll?! You are missing out my friend.
  • Idk. Not sure why you think you can only consume 1200if you’re active. I’m just under 5’2” and don’t weigh much by charts. 108 or 109at the moment. I’m also 48. But I’m active. Maintenance for me is about 1700-1800 and weight loss is 1500-1600. Sure mfp gives me 1200. But I eat back my fitbit calories and still lose. Only…

  • That’s encouraging! Thank you.
  • Fiona sports bra. I actually bought it while breastfeeding cause no underwire who would have ever thought a sports bra with no underwire would have he most support?! While breastfeeding, my size was a 34 f. And they don't move. Currently a 32-34 dd. And it still holds them in.
  • No, but thank you. I will read it.
  • If it’s precooked frozen, it’s the same as an oven. Just easier than an oven, imo. But if it’s fresh french fries, it’s a great way to do it instead of deep frying. You cut up a russet potato into strips. Soak in water for a few hours or overnight. Dry them. Add a tbsp of olive oil and salt and pepper. And air fry them. I…

  • I love my air fryer. But I wouldn’t have bought it just for me. But for my three year old who loves french fries, it’s great. And also for reheating stuff you want crispy, like tater tots, it’s easier for me then the whole oven. If you have room for one, do it.

  • I had a friend that did it in the 80’s. In high school. Seemed odd to me then. But at least it had a point back then. Now, with the internet and so much information available, meh. Seems like a waste of money. Unless you like the in person community....assuming they still have that. That would be the only plus I see for…
  • I’m having a glass of port right now. And earlier had a glass of wine. Not even in maintenance yet, but almost there. It’s simple. Wine has calories. Count them and save enough room to consume them. Not going to lie, I like wine more than food. And would never choose dessert over wine. So it’s easy for me to save room for…
  • I eat out a lot. It’s never been a problem. But it does help to eat lighter. Don’t eat all and take some home for lunch the next day. Or split a meal with your fiancée. Two salads and one entree. Or just order a couple appetizers and side dish. Tonight we went out and I’ve been eating out a lot and definitely have some…
  • Get a blood test. That is the only way to track it. Seriously. I’ve tested numerous times. Most people are deficient. It’s worth testing. I supplement with drops in my water.
  • This is not an appropriate question for this board. You need to speak to your doctor regarding this. I can tell you what I did through my pregnancy, after consulting with my on. I set mfp to maintenance for the first trimester. After that, I set it to gain a half pound a week. I found the food tracking very useful. During…
