I like cottage cheese. Sometimes for breakfast I just eat cottage cheese with a cut up tomatoe and fresh ground pepper. I’ve never tried it with avocado, but will give it a whirl.

I started my diet last February needing to lose 30lbs as well....at least to put me in my comfort zone. I’m also petite and was overweight, but not obese. In the first 3 months I lost 20 pounds. I cut out all alcohol, stuck to a healthy low calorie diet, and stayed active. After the first 3 months, I already felt a lot…

I agree with making a slaw or salad with them. They do not taste like traditional brussel sprouts that way. Prepare with a spanish cheese like manchango and dried cranberries. Very good.

I’m a sucker for mexican food. All the chips, salsa, and a huge margarita. 🤷♀️

I make frittatas all the time. Cook veggies in frying pan. Any veggies you like are fine and I make different ones all the time, but here is an example with ideas. Pick any combo.. Add olive oil to preheated pan on medium. Saute diced onions, then add ( diced or chopped zuchini, kale, spinach, bell peppers, tomatoes, green…

Just an fyi for something I experienced while breast feeding. My body burned about 600 or more calories from that alone. And as my son weaned, I was still used to eating those calories. My weight snuck up on me after that....leading to me coming back here 2/2020. I had put on 40 pounds and weighed as much as I did when I…

Not, not really. But I have re-entered maintenance mode again fairly recently, and guess I’m still a little gun shy of not having accurate stats until I make sure maintaining is in place for a while.

Sexy, handsome, and sharp. Nice!

Grandson?! You barely look legal. Wow. You go girl! For me it was when I saw a picture of myself and realized I’d put on too much weight. That was almost 3 months ago and I look a lot better now. I’m over halfway to my goal.

I have found my fitbit to very accurate with its estimation.

Muscle man

Based on the way your ordered it, I’d put 550.

Lots of fiber. :)

Hugs. I’m so sorry. Please be gentle with yourself.

Are you hungry in the morning? This may sound weird, but have you thought about skipping breakfast and eating a brunch instead like around 11. Then having a midday snack. Then eating two dinners. One early and one late. It doesn't really matter as long as you save room and are within your calorie framework.

Sounds like you slightly underestimate calories when you are not counting them, but in general are pretty good about intuitively estimatting. Great for long term maintenance if you don’t want to count. Honestly, I’m the same. I can be very good at accurately guessing calorie amounts. And I’ve successfully lost weight that…

There are definitely some days I am not as hungry. And some I’m extra hungry. Funny, I’ve noticed it usually evens out by weeks end when I look at my fitbit average weekly calories. Personally, if I’m not hungry I don’t eat. Within reason. And same goes for if I AM hungry, I eat. Within reason. 🤷♀️

Your only goal right now should be growing a healthy human being. That’s it. You want a diet? Buy the book ‘What to eat when you are expecting’. That was pretty good. In general, take your prenatal vitamins. Make sure you get enough folic acid and dha. You need extra protein. And follow your doctor’s (meaning your ob)…

My guess is 490 for the whole plate, assuming no butter on the broccoli. Chicken looks like about 1.75 servings. Rice about .75 serving. And broccoli 1 serving.

Yes.

I don’t follow a particular diet, but I do try to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables cause I find they fill me up. The fiber helps satisfy me and I add a little spice for a kick. For example, soba noodles with chicken and vegetables and siracha sauce. I save room for wine at the end of the day or a sweet treat like milk…

Honestly, I think any time you have a goal to lose weight for a specific event, you are setting yourself up for long term failure. Once that event has passed....then what? Better to just commit to a lifestyle change. And lose the weight slowly but surely over time. And permanently

Was that the 900? And if I already have a blender, would you bother?

This thread is from 6 years ago. Haha. Let’s hope she’s figured it out by now. 😉

Margaritas should only be drunk on the rocks.

I had my first and only at 44. I was 98 lbs pre pregnancy. (I’m very petite). I have not gotten down that low since. I did lose weight and hovered at 110 for awhile, and then had mommy munchies and put some back on. I am determined to get down again to 100-103 area, unless I start looking gaunt. So we’ll see. Anyways,…

I’m very short and don’t have much to lose, relatively. So mfp always gives me 1200. If I’m being very active, I can eat 1500-1600 and still lose at a deficit. If I’m being very lazy, usually 1200-1400.

Kind of. When I go over my calories, I still try to log them. I just don’t stress about it. Exceptions are holidays and parties and what not. Like I mean who the hell knows how many calories was in my Thanksgiving dinner. So, yea, no. I just note, Thanksgiving. 🤷♀️ I admit though I do eyeball stuff too when I’m being…

I’ve never liked rice in my instant pot. I bought a zojirushi rice cooker. Expensive, but worth it if you like rice. Comes out perfect every time.

Then you have way bigger problems than donuts. Hugs.
