Wow! A reminder for my calcium again! Dang! I need to set an alarm for the mid-day dose. Thanks.

Last weekend, my husband and I attended a party in our neighborhood. So much fun! We invited another couple over for tomorrow night and just invited our new next door neighbor, who we had over a week or two ago (both her and her husband). Her husband is traveling for work all week and she is just a bit unnerved bring by…

The CT scan results for my husband came out really well…the cancer did not spread to the lymph nodes and all of the cancer was removed (as thought) from his esophagus. Thank goodness.

Thanks, ladies! You reminded me to take my calcium (just barely inside the the osteopenia range, a diagnosis thanks to my first dexascan last year.

I am so sorry to hear this. It is so hard to lose pets.

Fortunately my master bathroom grout is dark colored, but I often have to wipe an area here or there on the solid white color of the tiles, grrrr!

I think everybody hates doing taxes. I think this and I only prep mine to be done by someone else. I find prepping them is slightly less miserable by logging expenses (housing, medical, charity donations) on a spreadsheet throughout the year and then all of that is done when I do start my taxes. It is nothing to pull up a…

It is such a satisfying feeling once you get your taxes done!

I am in the US and believe that the health care system is broken and has many aspects that need change. That said, much of it is good. I, family, or friends have been able to get referrals to specialists, ultrasounds, X-Rays, MRI's, CT scans, joint replacements, and other surgeries, just to name a few, within weeks of…

Great progress! And glad you’re over your illness. My latest project (cleaning) is scrubbing the grout on the tile floor in my half bath and foyer. I had always washed the floor down on my hands and knees, with a wet rag. One day I made the mistake of. I wondered if I scrub the grout with a toothbrush, which sounds awful,…

Being outside…on the deck with a cup of coffee, hiking or just doing yard work.

On top of all this, our niece just found out that she has thyroid cancer, but it is confirmed that it was all contained/small/etc. Like my husband, she'll be busy the next couple weeks with consults and such. My weight loss is slow going. I want the last of it all off, all now! Up/down/up/down endlessly. I know that I am…

Because the grossness of these words, my husband and I use the term, DNA.

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter / continuing to have a good Passover holiday and time with friends and family!

Please continue working to get in to see a doctor, preferably an ear, nose, and throat specialist (ENT). Hugs

Thanks!

I just asked my husband-he did take it orally. I guess I need to be more attentive because I really thought he tried it topically.

Wow! Just got done working out. Today was the first time I did one of my strength training routines since the cruise (end of Jan)! As I was doing it, I was asking myself, why didn't I start this earlier? (Answer: cruise, COVID, laziness, lack of desire to commit). I continue dancing back and forth over the 25 BMI line. I…

Wow! You can tell if I’m using my phone to reply--typos. Help me out, do you buy cbd oil and topically apply it where it hurts? Asking for a friend..ha, ha. My husband has tried cbd for pain, unsuccessfully.

I’m sorry you’re having so much difficulty getting needed meds; test is so concerning for individuals as well as the broader picture (having shortages at all, other meds too). Glad your fuzzy is better!

I lost my nails on both big toes more than 15 years ago after hiking into and out of the Grand Canyon (not an uncommon injury, I’ve since heard). Went to the family doctor a couple times and then went to the podiatrist; I wish I went there first! Weeks/months(?) of pain. I wish my family doctor recommended this at my first…

Umm…never!

@MorticiaAddamsMSFS So sorry to hear that you have RA, not fun. My husband has a somewhat similar autoimmune disease and it has definitely impacted his life for much of his life, although until in recent years, it has been mild. @sls631 If you may recall, we use a BowFlex (a bendy-rod contraption) for weight lifting. It…

I do not have a personality disorder, but have treated a good number of people with Borderline Personality Disorder with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). There are many coping skills associated with DBT; you could do an internet search to learn about this therapy, as well as to find many of these skills. If you are…

A frequent thought of mine, while ellipticating (and again today), is that I think I really can't cut down on my exercises, specifically this aerobic one, because of fear that I will gain weight/not lose. Since I pretty much exercise every day, it is just part of my typical movement. I eat the same amount of calories/day.…

So sweet! The skewers were a hit! (All of the food was sooo good!). Back to tracking!

Hi, I am 61 and I find that weight creeps up when I don’t calorie count. I don’t like the need to calorie count or the counting. I’d rather count, though, and lose the 10 lbs than keep the weight on. I wish I could provide you an alternative that works.
