Eat what you like on the cruise. I don’t weigh for one week following a cruise and then, when I do, I find I only gained a couple pounds. You do a lot of walking (or at least I do) when cruising.

Sorry, no, I like to eat too much.

@AnnPT77 I am sorry to hear of your medical difficulties, health and insurance. Hope all turns out well and you’re back to rowing soon. My husband and I have been traveling a lot this year, to Europe a couple times and to the Caribbean another. Fortunately, we got this all in prior to an acute (new) medical problem of my…

Sounds good! I’m cheering you on!

@MorticiaAddamsMSFS Are you back at mfp? I heard your account became inactive. Hope all is well!

@AmyExt This may help you with this concern. I can remember if I ate breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but I do have difficulty remembering if I ate the various snacks that I pre-logged, probably because I have many of the same snacks every day and the days sometimes can blur into the next. When I pre-log, I put all of the…

You are consuming more calories than you are burning. Either cut your calories or increase your exercise.

I tried berberine for 9 to 12 months to lower my A1c. After decades of excellent morning fasting numbers and continuing with those, the first time I A1c was checked, I was just shy of pre-diabetes (!). I read some research articles about berberine and its effect of lowering A1c, so I took whatever dose was recommended. I…

In regards to how fatty breasts are… I just know from mammograms when I was younger, that I had dense breast and now they are much less dense per the scale to judge this. I would guess, based on this (n=1), that age does matter in relation to when you lose weight and how much you may lose in the bust area. PS. Not a…

@springlering62 That is so sweet. Dads are Dads.

I haven’t seen this behavior in the gym, either. I was also thinking that dementia may be starting with a lack of awareness of one’s surroundings and/or lack of conforming to expected behavior.

Cold things can be kept cold with a ‘freezie’ in a lunch box. I have done this for years with my desk job. Prepare lunch at home, add it and a freezie in a lunch box and bring it to work. I have no idea what is the correct word is for freezie; it is a plastic bag holding material that freezes and stays frozen for some…

Referencing Ann’s yoga comment of the more you do it, the more flexible you get also relates to mindfulness exercises. The more you do them, the more effective they’ll be for you. And if you go into either mindfulness or yoga exercises with the thought that neither would be helpful for you, then letting go of that thinking…

@Jerkis You may wish to consider working with a therapist who specializes in eating disorders. An ED therapist could help you build coping skills for when you hear about/see sugar.

A factor to be considered…# of transplants in the state. Colorado (supposedly) has many transplants and I would guess that a good number come for the many outdoor athletic endeavors to be had.

@anxietyfairy You may wish to search for motivational quotes through mfp’s threads. There are a number of them.

Sounds like a good plan!

That is a huge milestone; very impressive!

11-1. 145.2 lbs 11-8. 146.2 lbs 11-15. 146.5 lbs 11-22. 146.4 lbs 11-29 out-of -town 12-3. 146.3 lbs, forgot to weigh myself today, using yesterday's weight. The only positive here is that I'm not gaining weight. The notable negative is that I would like to lose weight. Clearly wanting something is not the same as working…

I'm late reporting in; I'm still here, just busy. My official weigh-in day is Thursday and that is shown. I am out of town this coming Thursday, so I won't be able to weigh myself, but I will report the following Thursday. 11-1. 145.2 lbs 11-8. 146.2 lbs 11-15. 146.5 lbs 11-22. 146.4 lbs...still not working at it too hard

I have occasionally gone to Mad Greens; this is a restaurant in Colorado, perhaps many other places. I like their grain bowls and I went to their website to find their ingredients and now make them at home. I found that the varieties of Kroger brand salad dressings include some that are very close to the dressings that Mad…

Thanks, Becca Boo. I really liked your snack ideas; I will definitely use them. I have changed from breakfast being oatmeal and cottage cheese to a 3-egg white omelet with various veggies/mushrooms. I normally eat a lot of veggies, so I do get a lot of fiber. I really know the only way for me to lose weight is to count…

Continued wrong direction... 11-1. 145.2 lbs 11-8. 146.2 lbs 11-15. 146.5 lbs As @faurotann said above, some serious mental adjustments are needed. At times, many times for me, losing weight is more of a mind game than a physical game. I haven't been able to get my head back in the game for about a month now. This is…

@AnnPT77 Buying Gouda today in support of your healing! They say that bacon makes everything better, but I have always thought that was true of cheese. Please continue getting better and do it soon.

@AnnPT77 Hope all goes well for you and you are home soon!

I thought I would report in. I re-read my last note and am disgusted that I continue to bounce around 145 lbs. I weighed in this morning at 145....I looked it up to be accurate and I actually weighed in at 144.7 lbs. So, although not 145 point something, the weight is still around 145 lbs. I keep trying to go back to…

@Divine_Progress How are you coming on your very impressive goals. I just Googled shoulder taps; that looks really hard!

@tziviyaabisch2007 I also like to taste my salad dressing and probably enjoy a bit more of it on my salad than others. I don’t know if this brand is available where you live, but I like the brand Skinnygirl. My favorite is the balsamic vinegar. I have made my own and have tried to make it with lower calories, meaning more…

Beyond amazing! You certainly have your head in the game! Congratulations!
