"New Rules of Lifting" has some interesting info on just your question. Check it our at your library. Don't think NROL For Women has same info.

Exercise only helps with weight loss in the respect it helps you run at a deficit. How much deficit depends on your eating habits.

Love my bowflex. Also have bowflex550 dumbbells and bench. Works great. Bowflex was convert to about half for free weights. So 100 lb press be would be 50 with dbs. Bowflex great with no spotter and easier on joints.

Sounds like you lost an awful lot of weight in 2.5 weeks-be sure to eat the recommended minimum for your profile.

Hydroxicut is one of the supplements found to do a lot of harm. Had a friend take whatever was the big weight loss drug at the time a number of years ago and ended up with a lifetime heart condition. DON'T DO IT!!

Sounds like New Rules for Lifting- get book and follow Schulers programs.

Read new rules for lifting- not the 4 women one. It breaks out programs for fat loss, strength and building muscle. Use library unless you take up a program.

With leg lifts-put hands under hips, takes pressure off. Planks-do they from elbows. Squats-build some endurance before you try them with other exercises then VERY light weights.

Just finished reading new rules for lifting{nothings else in title} and am most of the way through NROLW. Prefer NROL as equipment and routines are more like what I am familiar with from long ago

One pair yoga pants, one ladies T, I had on hand, one pair shoes also worn for yard work, 3 pairs socks because they come that way. Use this wardrobe for yoga and lifting. Workout 4 times a week and building.
