  • Hi Christine, lovely to hear from you, the dress sounds amazing. Try not to stress too much, like you I find it harder when I stress myself out too much. Tamara, good luck with the house sale. How did you get on with your new doctor?
  • Hi ladies. Hope you are all doing ok and really getting into the MOB/MOG spirit. Jayne I've had a great week, ate well, did loads of walking, gardening, cleaning, I even went swimming and guess what?, I put on a pound! my naughty weekend caught up with me. • I hope your health improves soon. Sounds like you are having great fun. I can't say I have the same friendship with my MOG, she appears to be very uninterested in the wedding even though we have tried to involve her. Her loss. Ladies I need a big kick up the backside. Really lost the plot this weekend, had friends to stay…
  • Hi kinglregina, welcome. I admire your determination, we are with you all the way. Jayne, your daughters dream is so funny, and I love that your gonna run with if for the muslin lol. Fortunately for me my daughter has stuck with the same design all the way through.
  • Hi ladies, just wanted to share my joy with you all. Despite attending my DD's Hen Weekend, and drinking rather a large amount of cocktails, I have managed to loose a pound. Must have been all the dancing we did, and the fact that I have walked three miles on my treadmill. Only 7 weeks until the big day so half a stone by…

  • Jayne, hope you are feeling much better now and enjoyed your hike in the Columbia River Gorge. Happy mothers day.
  • Erin, thank you for you encouragement. Sorry to hear that you mum is not in your life a present, make the most of the help offered by your step-mum and mother -in-law as I'm sure they want to be involved as much as possible. MOG, welcome, I love the sound of your garden party we are hoping to hold my daughters Shower in…
  • Jess thank you, like Jayne i've never been called cute, that so nice of you. Jayne, I'm in the UK so I'm not sure what a fanny pack is, we have a small bag that sits around the waist which is called a 'bum bag' so i'm guessing it would similar to that.
  • Hi Cindagrif, welcome to our mutual support group. Set your self some nice easy goals and I'm sure you will see the weight falling of again soon. Beesma, of course I will share pictures, if I can work out how to add them lol.
  • How did the meeting go. Well I hope. We get on really well with our future son-in-law, he settled into the family very well. we are very lucky. Not sure the weight loss will be great this week, we went to my husbands football club end of season dinner, I didn't eat that much but the alcohol... that's another story. All…
  • Hi. Thanks for your support, I think I really just need a sounding board and somewhere to vent, the more I stress about the weight thing the slower it seems to be coming of. Some weeks I am super good and motivated, do all the right exercise and the weight just stays the same, argh. Beesma, I'm making my daughters dress,…

  • Great reasons and a good idea. I've been struggling lately and fallen of the healthy eating plan. Need to get back on track so here are my reasons: 1) to reduce my cholesterol levels 2) to get more fit and active and stop my knees from hurting when I climb the stairs 3) to be within a 'normal' weight range and not…

  • Hi thanks for the info guys, I was okay with the weight loss percentage thing but on the round '0' it asks for the body fat %. The link to the BMI calculator seems to answer that one. I am assuming that there is a difference between the body fat % and the weight loss %.
  • Hi, been on MFP for a few weeks and after a sticky start i've been loosing steadily. Happy for you to add me, i'm in Northamptonshire.
  • Hi princesstoads. I am totalyl with you on this journey, although I'm a little older than you your story is very similar to my own, my doc has given me until xmas to get my levels down. We could motivate each other if you would like to add me as a friend. Good luck.
  • When my medical results showed that my cholesterol was way too high and that I had NAFLD. The doctor said I was obese and wanted to put me on medication. We've agreed that I have until December 2013 to loose weight and get my cholesterol down or I definitely going on the medication. I don't want to be a statistic so its…
  • I agree with all of you , I have the same issue, but I think its a skin thing. I don't think it will matter how hard you work out or how much weight you lose I think the skin around this area has taken too much damage with the operations for it to every shrink back entirely. But I'm hoping that if I concentrate on my core…
  • I'm so glad I found this thread, I was beginning to lose the plot. I had my gallbladder our in April 2012 and since then I've gained 18lbs. I joined MFP three weeks ago and have been sticking to 1200 a day and walking three times a week and haven't lost an ounce. I've even uped my calories to 1500 because I thought I may…

  • Hi, feel free to add me as a friend, only been on for two weeks myself and finding it hard to get going. Well done with the 5lb loss, great start.
  • Thanks guys, its so great to be able to share my frustration with. To answer some of the questions ,i'm 51 and wonder if age may slow me down but not this slow, I walk for at least 20 minutes 3 times a week, my knees struggle to cope with anything more strenuous. I've look at my food diary and there are some ways I can cut…

  • Hi, i'm Jules from Northamptonshire. I joined today because I need to lose at least 4 stone, I lost 2 stone last year but have put a stone back on since September and like you I need some motivation.
