@PAV8888 Oh, how nice would it be to have a “guts” option?!
-
I was looking through my old discussions today to reminisce about the shocking level of my delusional woo. I came across this thread and laughed through the whole thing. I miss my woo troll buddies...I'll have to recruit disagree buddies now.

Yes, there are rules and if you think a rule is being violated, you can use the "flag" option on the post. The reason this one hasn't been shut down is the original poster is heavy enough that one gallon a day would not be unsafe. Unnecessary and no help to their weight loss efforts but not unsafe.

It takes time and planning so it definitely isn't for everyone but it works for me

My diary is open. I log differently than most others. I tend to log my food for the entire week because I plan ahead but it might help you look at a whole week and how to plan out food that way. It helps me because I don't get into the habit of deciding what is for dinner at the last minute and then eating food that…

I tend to self sabotage if I don't have a plan so I purposely make enough for dinner one night to have leftovers for lunch the next day. On the days I don't have leftovers, it's something simple like a bag of tuna mixed with avocado on a toasted whole wheat English muffin and a small salad. When I do order take-out, I…

Fair enough. I suppose if I lived there, I would call it cashew beverage then. Here, it is called milk.
-
I do omelets often. Some of my favorite combinations are: Caramelized onions, spinach and Swiss Ham, green peppers, mushrooms, and pepper jack Asparagus, bacon, and cheddar
-
Not sure I would stop calling it by the name that is on the label. Almond milk has been called milk since the 18th century.

I love that movie!

So...you have done Keto. You are doing IF. You are trying the gallon a day challenge. It sounds to me like you are looking for the magic answer to losing weight without being accountable for the calories you are consuming. I know you say that counting calories is not sustainable for you but bouncing from one diet to…

I have a friend who uses one. She swears it helps her.

You are correct that your water intake is close to what is recommended. It's a bit more than you need but not dangerously more. I would argue that you may think you are doing a good job with limiting your calories but if you are not seeing loss, you should revisit weighing and counting you calories. It's about calories in…

It's likely that what you experienced is normal weight fluctuation. Check your weight again in a few days. However, if you truly feel that you are retaining water to the point that your body isn't functioning correctly, see a doctor. Drinking water has many benefits but it alone does not lead to weight loss. Intermittent…

1) Not a food or an item but my husband. He supports me in every way. 2) Instant pot. It makes prepping for the week a breeze and allows us to have complex meals even when we forget to thaw something out. 3) Homemade unsweetened yogurt. It's my go-to snack for work, makes great smoothies and I use it as a substitute for…

See a doctor.

Not a trainer but there are many things you can do. YouTube has so many workout options available for free. Yoga and planking can definitely help you build a strong core, increase flexibility and maintain mobility. It's not just a fad but it is beneficial. You'll either love it or hate it. I happen to love it. Yoga with…

Two NSV's today. First, an older coworker who is brutally honest and straightforward today told me I am looking younger. He said that I was beginning to look tired and aged and he was concerned but now I look healthier and younger. From many people that would seem rude but coming from Mark, that is just about as genuine as…

@fellinidays How long have you been doing DDPY?
-
I follow My Peak Challenge and DDPY yoga. They both have membership fees but are worth it to me. Their online support groups are great. There are plenty of workouts available for free out there that are great for home workouts though. Fitness Blender is a good one. If you like to dance and want cardio, Fitness Marshall is…

Is your scale on a solid hard surface and are you placing your scale in exactly the same place each time? If it isn't on a hard surface, find one. A scale on tile or carpet can give different read outs. Still inconsistent? Change your batteries to see if it corrects itself. If none of those work, any digital scale will be…

Diet makes no difference for me. Stress and exhaustion lead to them for me.

So, now we have two at the party!

Turkey smoked sausage with a sweet potato, pepper and onion hash.

I have arrived. I may be late but the party has officially started.

This morning, I felt a stinging sensation under my pinky toe. I thought I might have stepped on something. I sat down and crossed my leg onto my lap then lifted my foot a bit more so could look at it. It was a dry area that had cracked. I put some aquaphor on it and then realized - holy crap, I just had enough flexibility…

I do yoga almost every day. Coupled with strength training in the gym, it keeps me flexible, mobile and feeling good. I like traditional yoga. I particularly love Yin yoga for it's calming and restorative aspect. I also really enjoy DDPY yoga which is a weird combination of resistance conditioning, mobility exercise,…

I know this is an old thread but I really enjoy DDPY yoga when I want a workout that is more intense than the yoga at my gym. I do it a at least three times a week and my pushups and planks have improved so much.

I would wager a bet that you are underestimating the amount of calories you get in a day. Eating less than 1200 calories is unhealthy and could lead to serious medical complications. Are you weighing everything and counting every thing you are ingesting?
