Last night for dinner I made green chili verde shredded chicken and spanish brown rice in the instant pot (pot in pot method). Today, I threw some leftovers in a 50 calorie tortilla shell. It's arguably better the second day.

Merino wool glove liners with a touch screen finger under mittens work pretty well, especially if you get the mittens that convert to fingerless gloves. You might have to get the mittens one size larger than normal to accomodate the gloves under but your fingers will stay much warmer. I have the ones below. I did end up…

Noone said their feelings are invalid, only that they are more than likely not being judged as much as they think they are. We are offering a different perspective in a forum designed for open conversations and debates. You don't seem to want to see both sides of the issue, just yours.

I don't have a spa...maybe I should mention that to him

I had to kiss a lot of frogs to find my prince. Actually, my daughter and his daughter (now my stepdaughter) had been best friends for 5 years when we met. They set us up on our first date.

If you have an instant pot, you can make your own. You control the amount of sweetener and the size of the portions. It's surprisingly easy to do.

Wow, I can't believe how much I miss over the weekend. I have been walking and running daily. I am still at very short distances but have managed 19 miles since January 1.

I'll admit, I probably made a new person feel uncomfortable this past weekend. We have a dedicated group of women who do a women's cardio kickboxing class. Whenever someone new comes, we introduce ourselves and make a point of having them join one of the small groups during drills. I got there right at the beginning of…

He gets out of bed and makes me breakfast when he could easily stay in a warm, comfy bed. When I have storm duty, he gets up at 3:30 am to make sure the driveway is plowed and my car is cleared off and warm. He makes me lunch sometimes and writes love notes on the napkins. If he sees that I have had a stressful day, he…

Like any exercise, you can make it as hard or as easy as you want it to be. Don't use a waist floatie; your core will have to do twice the work if you skip it in the deep water. Use the resistence barbells and really engage your muscles as you work. Try doing some speed bootcamp style swim drills before or after the class.…

I agree with others that much of the percieved judging is self-conscious not reality. If you are intimidated or worried about what other are thinking, don't be. Most of the regular gym goers don't really notice the other people around them because they have a routine. If a regular in my gym was rude to a new person, it…

My diary is always open. I log the good, the bad, and the ugly.

I just had a conversation with a coworker that went something like this: Me: I am going to order from the Sandwich Shack. Are you interested? Her: No, I am doing my weekly toxin cleanse today. Me: Your what? Her: Toxin cleanse - to flush out all of the toxins attached to my organs. It's the only thing that helps me lose…

You generally want to weigh meats before preparing it but that will make it hard for you to know exactly how much you are eating after it's prepared. I would think you could weight it, prepare it, then weigh it again to see what the difference is in weight. If it's not a significant difference, go with the weight after…

Mississippi Pot Roast is a family favorite. Soups are another great option. Dried beans are quick and simple with no need for soaking. Once you have homemade yogurt, you'll never buy store bought again. Quinoa comes out perfect. All of these can be used for meal prep.

I read the article. What I find most disturbing is that the fines she had to pay were because of how she handled the money she received, not because she was lying *kitten*.

Can you get the name of that particular brand of alcohol for me? I am asking for a friend...

Look for the fruits and veggies that are in season. Buy frozen for anything out of season - it has the same nutritional value and won't go bad as quickly. Look in your area for an Asian market. They often have produce at a fraction of the price. It often is ripe or just about overripe so only buy what you will use within a…

First, congratulations on surviving that *kitten*. Second, I truly think I would have stood up and walked out of that meeting. Then, went and had a big ole full-fat gluteny sugar cone bowl of ice cream topped with caramel made with artificial sweetener.

Can I just say that I love people are wooing my posts in the woo thread.

The fruit was probably fighting the healthy foods he was eating and causing the weight gain.

True, but every person is different. We're not intentionally being unhelpful. It wouldn't be safe or ethical for us to answer questions about your prescription medications. We know nothing about your medical background. We don't know what other medications you may or may not take. We don't know if you have medical issues…

Turmeric Oreos. They are only available on a full moon.

That's just silly. The ACV will detoxify your liver and prevent kidney stones from forming (because they can't exist in an acidic environment) but there is no proof that it will burn fruit. Now the magic elyxr of lemon juice, maple syrup, cayenne and honey (but only locally sourced raw honey)...that will burn just about…

I personally like the Mediterranean Diet because I like the foods that that it features and it most closely matches what I would eat anyway. As we told you when you asked about Keto and WW, you truly can eat what you like. Just eat less than you burn. If the Mediterranean Diet has foods you like and it would make it easier…

Welcome. Use the calories that MFP has given you and aim to eat back at least half of the calories you burn during exercise. Eat what you want, but in reasonable amounts. Eat less calories than you burn. This link has some great topics that will answer most of the questions you have:…

He is too young to use the app. It is meant for adults age 18 and over. I would have his parents consult a physician. I understand you want to help him but since he is a minor, it really lands on their shoulders to decide what would be best for him.
