  • Thank you for the comments everyone and feedback! You replied so fast and with such good ideas!! I never thought of a mason jar at all. I didn't realize that I could actually make the salad 3 days before and it would keep. Thank you
  • Wow thank you all so much for such quick but helpful replies! I am going to stick to one app and see how things go for one month and adjust accordingly.
  • Happy for you! You will love how it tastes sooo yummy!! Also they have small taco dips ready to go at some grocery stores and you can save time having to buy (refried beans, salsa, cheese, sour cream, guac) by using that instead. I prefer that because otherwise I have a bunch of ingredients that are left around in…
  • Hi everyone, thanks so much for the feedback and help. So i actually went on their website and put in an online order and it shows me each ingredient option and it's serving size and calories. For all of the ingredients offered for a naked bean and cheese burrito bowl it says 450 calories. However, I just checked and if I…
  • great , thanks for the suggestions!
  • I'm glad that hasn't been your experience. In my experience any form of suggestion, comments, advice has always been dripping with negativity, sarcasm and cruelty. My family just doesn't know any better to be quite honest.
  • @TmacMMM- that is such nonsense, I"m sorry you have to deal with it. What I feel like I would say is, unless you want to pay for my gym membership, our meals, and activities to help us be healthier- stay out of it. Also next time you're both alone, mention you would like her to refrain from food/weight/body talk infront of…
  • Thanks for all the postings. So I think I should have elaborated a bit more, my apologies. As one poster said, yes this is in regards to my previous thread about emotional abuse from my dad regarding my weight. Now, I get that asking your child to workout is not unhealthy or negative, but my mom does it EVERY DAY when she…
  • I'll start: My entire family is HORRIFIED at my weight gain and though I'm working on it, they like to "shock me" by being cruel. So i've decided to start being funny with it. So my mom will say daily to me first thing , "are you going to exercise now", doesn't matter if it's 7 am and I'm dressing for work, or I've had a…
  • Honestly just reading these commentaries and making me realize that I'm not the one who is nuts, crazy or sensitive is making me feel ten times better. My family (except me) is so used to behaving this way and thinks they are normal and that I'm a wimp and dramatic so I always thought this was how others were treated at…
  • I'm so sorry that this happened to you as well!! I'm wondering if maybe you could be silent later when you are with him to indicate that you are upset and let him know that the comment was pretty stupid of him. Maybe showing you are hurt, wounded will make him feel embarrassed and regret it? Also happy Mothers Day!!!!
  • I'm honestly having tears of happiness from all the kind, thoughtful, motivating comments. You people are so amazing! You could have told me to suck it up, or just told me why he's a jerk but your comments were honestly so helpful. I've usually ignored it physically and then walked away and then cried in my room. I know…
  • Thanks for your replies!! @allyphoe- how many calories would you say it burns in total? for what time and lbs? Thanks in advance
  • This is really motivational for me as I am close in age, same lbs and same height. Thank you for posting this.
  • Well, MFP said to eat 1200 calories to lose 1.5 lbs a week. However, my trainer told me to eat 1800 calories a day to lose 2 lbs a week, and on days I workout to eat 2100 calories. 1200 vs 1800 calorie is a prettybig diff so I'm unsure.
  • Thank you so much for everyone's replies!! I agree that it is probably emotional eating and I have started to look for other substitutes that are healthier to replace with food. I am also going to start seeing a counsellor to work through some of the issues that cause me to mindlessly eat.
  • Thank you for your quick replies. This gets me really motivated:) I find myself walking for an hour non stop around my kitchen in circles to meet my caloric burn. I think this must be beneficial since I used to only exercise for 40 minutes before.
  • Thank you for everyone's nice replies. I was mistaken about the term plateau. I was under the impression it was a plateau if there was no change on the scale for two weeks. Thanks for the clarification!
  • Thank you for the replies. They give me a lot to think about and I will research this
  • Thanks for the wonderful feedback. It makes sense to me and I will not worry about weighing myself on an empty/full stomach.
  • Thanks for your reply! It really made sense to me. I guess I will weigh myself daily but perhaps note my weight ONCE a week so I don't throw off my progress chart on MFP too much.
  • Thanks for your replies! My antidepressant is known to cause weight gain due to the way it works on my body's ability to process blood sugar. It is known to cause high cholesterol as well. My doctors have recommended Saxenda to me because it counteracts my antidepressant's side effect on my blood sugar. I have been on MFP…
  • teach4heart- I am also just on week one so far. I am taking this because my antidepressants make me gain weight and I am hoping Saxenda can ward this off. I am noticing that I am not hungry but I am also on Concerta so hunger was never a real issue for me, just mindlessly snacking. However, I am finding it hard to eat now…
  • Great thanks so much for your replies! So I can go ahead and mix the beans and quinoa and veggies and it should be fine for a couple of days? Thanks that makes me relieved
  • You're all fantastic!!!! Such helpful posts and details! Thanks so much. I want to be a daily yogi and I think I will. I can just add in a bit of cardio as well beforehand so I have more calories burned. I can't do hot yoga bc of health reasons but great feedback. Thanks so much :)
  • Thanks for your explanation!!!!! so helpful
  • Thanks for your input :) I am confused though about your instructions. I was thinking that I mix a bit of water and a bit of sauce and powder bit by bit?
  • I use an app called "fitness buddy" and I also use "fitocracy" sometimes. I plug in my workout routine and just simply choose the reps and weights I used that day while I'm working out. It keeps a memory log so I usually choose what I did the day before. I sometimes consider having a paper and pen method only because it…
  • Wow you guys are amazingly quick! Thanks for the replies already. I'm glad that what you're saying is what I was thinking all along. I knew that weight training can really help tone up and build muscle and can show results; but the numbers seemed questionable to me.
