I have issues with bloating/constipation/food intolerances, and doing a cleanse once or twice a year seems to regulate everything for a couple of months. I prefer them to laxatives like dulcolax, because they're much more gentle, at least for me. (No cramping, no rushing to the bathroom, and I can continue normal life,…

Here's one of mine: While cleanses and detoxes don't help with losing weight, I still think that many people can benefit from one of good quality. I can speak from personal experience how taking a few days to focus on a minimalistic, basic diet along with cleansing herbs and tons of fiber and water can make your digestive…

Less food in = less food out. But, if you're eating healthier, you're probably getting more fiber in your diet than your digestive system is used to. That can cause some gas/bloat/constipation in the mean time while everything adjusts. Make sure you drink plenty of water, otherwise you might as well be making concrete.…

I take a digestive enzyme that has lipase in it to help me digest my food. (I have a lot of problems with multiple food intolerances and digestive issues) They help me immensely. But will they "eat" the fat away and help you lose weight? No. Enzyme supplements don't work like that.

Saw these at Kroger today. I bought the supreme one. Can't wait to try it!

I like to watch TV. I actually hate running outside -- it's so boring to me! I don't understand how other people keep their minds occupied. Normally, I like to watch cooking shows, or shows like Bizarre Foods, since they give me some motivation to work towards while I burn off calories for treats. :)

These are a newish product where I work. They're really good! (Except for the lime one, but I hate lime-flavored chips, so I'm not a fair judge -- everyone else loved them.) They're made with cassava, so they're paleo-friendly. Plus, avocado oil beats veggie oil any day for a boost of healthy fats!

Personally, I really like SO Delicious's Culinary Coconut milk. It comes in resealable terra packs, so you don't have to find a new container for it once it's open. Plus, it's already emulsified, so you don't have to stir the cream back in like you have to with canned coconut milk. Nutpods also makes some really good…

Try a different iron supplement. I've found that food-based irons tend to be easier on my stomach, and that they don't constipate me like most iron supplements do. Personally, I take Megafood''s Blood Builder, and I really love it. The pills are small, it keeps my levels normal, and I don't feel like crap while taking it.

I second everyone else's advice to go to a running store & get fitted. ...But I can't afford that, so I just go to Rack Room and buy the cheapest pair of shoes that fit my big feet and don't hurt.

Drink the milk that tastes best to you and fits your macros. Personally, I drink raw milk and use unsweetened almond milk in smoothies. Occasionally, I'll buy a carton of goat milk to make ice cream.

I googled it, and I think that it's a rutabaga. OP, if you like rutabagas in any form, then you're able to like any vegetable. Rutabagas are how God torments poor and hungry peasants.

We sell the Red Star mini-flake version in bulk at work, and I had a serious addiction to the stuff! I'd literally just pour it in pretty much everything savory since it tastes good and I thought it was super low-calorie. Then I found out that it's 60 calories per 1 1/2 tbsp and I had to learn how to moderate. :(

I like Califa's unsweetened vanilla. Their almond coffee creamers are delish too, for 15 cal/tbsp.

I work at a health-food-type store, so I suppose that I'm a little biased, but I've seen a lot of people derive benefit from homeopathic/herbal remedies and supplements. Personally, I've used T-Relief (it used to be called Traumeel before the name change?) and protoelytic enzymes when I experienced a bad flare up of…

I would be so much more excited about this if the base was any flavor other than banana. ...Brings me back to my old childhood trauma of mom putting banana slices in my Breyers ice cream to try and get me to eat fruit, and ruining a perfectly good bowl of ice cream in the process.

I bought the cinnamon raisin one at Target today. I can't wait to try it! Also, I don't know hoe new this is, but I finally bought a package of it to make a pizza, and it is SO GOOD! It's seriously JUST like mozzarella cheese after you melt it. Even my mother (who HATES non-dairy cheese) loved it! These were kind of "meh"…

I like Garden of Life's Energy & Focus. It has coffee berry extract to supply about as much caffeine as a cup of coffee, a big dose of b12, and a blend of fruits and veggies to increase nitric oxide production. I usually buy the sugar-free one since it's lower in calories and because you get an additional 10 servings for…

You'll live. In the meantime, I find that Biofreeze works really well for me whenever I get sore from a really hard workout.

1. Even back when I was a kid, I never ate both of the Poptarts in the foil pack. I actually never realized that it was intended for you to eat both of them. I thought that they were just skimpy on packaging or something, so I always just put the second one in a ziplock for the next day.

I like unsweetened baking chocolate. Or you could mix unsweetened cacao powder with coconut oil and stevia extract and refrigerate it until solid

This sounds like pretty much the same thing as BK's chicken fries, just pressed into a different shape. I'm not astounded.

How do the probiotics survive the microwave? Are they soil-based or something?

My view on Whole 30 is that it's geared more towards helping people change their relationship with food when compared with diets like paleo or keto. It eliminates a lot of the more highly refined foods, swedteners, and other hyperpalatables that people tend to overdo, which can help break their dependence on them. After…

What about rice and juice? Both of those have had major scandals over the past couple of years regarding the amounts of arsenic in them. Some cacao powders naturally contain enough cadmium in them to have to put that California prop 65 warning on them. Assuming that something is made using ingredients that originally came…

Some flavors just work better with different kinds on protein. Super sweet and milky flavors (like chocolate, cookie dough, and cookies & cream) tend to work better when made with whey, in my experience of making my own bars. Fruity and tropical flavors often go better with veggie proteins, although I will admit that I've…

Of the selection available at Wal-Mart, Quest is my favorite. Their Vanilla Milkshake one is really good. I you don't like the taste of protein mixes and don't mind driving to another store, you could get Hydrolyzed Collagen powder, which is tasteless on its own and mixes into anything.

Same here. The only way my family ever celebrated easter was by giving me a chocolate bunny and a new toy back when I was still a kid. Now it's just kind of annoying since everything around where I live is closed due to the holiday (except for restaurants) and I can't get anything done outside of the house on my only day…

I've found that starting topics like this on MFP is roughly equivalent to throwing yourself onto hot coals, but I'd advise not to bother, for future reference. Just personal opinion. I do try to eat organic foods when I can afford to. My first priority usually goes towards meat, dairy, and other animal products, which I…

I honestly don't understand why so many people seem to adore the Peanut Butter Halo Top so much. It's not nearly peanut-butter-y enough for me! I just taste vanilla. :( I mean, it's not BAD, but it's not that great, either... I am interested in those quarts, though! I hope they come to either Walmart or Kroger!
