  • It looks like they use a signature mineral blend that’s got some calcium and magnesium in it. Some people take magnesium (specifically, magnesium glycinate) to help with sleep and relaxation. But, yeah, I’d put my money on being a gimmicky marketing thing more than anything.
  • @skelterhelter Just the chocolate-covered caramels and popcorn that someone already posted earlier in the thread. I didn’t get to take samples of those home, but I got to try them, and they were SO GOOD! I honestly couldn’t even tell they were sugar-free. The rep working the booth said they should be in Whole Foods…
  • I don't normally post too much, but here's my sample haul from Expo East 2019.
  • Those were amazing! Too bad they’re not in distribution yet. The guy said his wife and him created them only a week prior to demo-ing them, though, so just the fact that they’re so good is promising to me!
  • I think kids should get some sort of say in what to eat for lunch, but it should be within reason. So, rather than asking them "What do you want to eat for lunch tomorrow?", I feel a more appropriate question would be along the lines of "Do you want a peanut butter sandwich for lunch tomorrow, or do you want me to pack a…
  • All I know is that Quest has been in the downslope ever since they switched to soluble corn fiber. I used to eat a bad a day with no problems, but now they cause absolutely awful gas & bloating for me if I eat them any more than once in a while. :/
  • Looks like they're plastic pipets filled with some kind of liquid.
  • I take Florastor twice daily and find that it really helps me a lot with managing my IBS. I've had digestive problems ever since I was a little kid, and I've never had things as under control as I do now. It took me a long time to find one that worked well for me though. Everybody's different.
  • Actually, sorry, I meant for this to go in the Debate forum. I guess this is what I get for having multiple MFP tabs open. Could one of the kind moderators please move it for me?
  • Most vitamins/supplements shouldn't require logging. Most multivitamins / mineral supplements provide micronutrients, which generally don't have a quantifiable caloric value. However, supplements that are fat or oil based (liquid fish oils, flax oils, and supplements contained within large softgels, for example) should be…
  • ^^ +1 for that suggestion!
  • For me it was a week of constant exhaustion, heartburn, reflux, nausea, and greasy diarrhea. Turns out my body runs much better on high protein / moderate carb / low fat. But for some people, Keto helps them cut calories without being as hungry or deprived. If you're curious, I'd suggest you try it for a week, but Keto's…
  • That Sea Salt Caramel pint is going to change your life! Seriously better than Halo Top's version! After you let it warm up about ten minutes, it's creamier, saltier, and caramel-ier!
  • I've been really into this lately: Tastes just like half 'n half, but with 10 calories per tablespoon. Those Almond Breeze creamers mentioned above are good too, though.
  • I tried it for the first time last night, and I'm not sure if I liked it or not. It didn't taste like meat, but it also didn't taste like a veggie burger. I thought it was kind of like a savory sponge. :| Anyhow, I wouldn't pay $5.99 for two of them (I got them on a manager's special). For that price, I'll stick to…
  • AM: Probiotic (Florastor) - Helps SO MUCH with my IBS. I've had really bad stomach issues ever since I can remember (and, from talking to my parents, I was a really colicky baby, so I wouldn't be surprised if they were going on since before I can remember,) and this probiotic is the only one that really seems to make a…
  • As an admitted pork crackling addict, I NEED these!! :o
  • Food Network, mostly. Something about watching people bake extravagant cakes and gourmet meals gives me the motivation to go a bit harder.
  • I bought both, and neither are worth it. Too little frosting, and hardly any filling inside of the cereal pieces. They basically just taste like extra-crunchy bits of pop tart crust with a small bit of chewy stuff inside. Of the two, strawberry was slightly better, since it had a hint of strawberry flavor, while the brown…
  • Ha! I know one of the reps for that company, and I remember when those came out. At the time, he told me, “You know, these bars are really good, but I don’t think that it’s fair that the guys in marketing decided to put pictures of desserts on the boxes. It might make people want to eat real cakes.” :D
  • I normally break down and replace mine when the midsole foam starts rubbing onto the treadmill and my heels start hurting after a 5 mile run. Realistically, that usually works out to 2-3 pairs of shoes (I wear Brooks Ghost 10s) for a year.
  • Probably? My family has always just left ours out in an empty plastic bucket to thaw for about 24 hours before we planned to cook it. Technically, we all go against government guidelines as to how to “properly” thaw a turkey, but we’ve been doing it this way for decades, and no one’s gotten sick yet. :p
  • You could always just set up a dummy account dedicated to posting their stuff and turn off all the email and notifications for Instagram. That way, you’d get stuff but wouldn’t be bothered by the account.
  • Free stuff is one awesome perk of being a member of Quest Squad. :p
  • I'm 21, and I get comments every once in a while from people talking about how bad they are on my left leg. I've got bad genetics, I guess, because mine have gotten worse, even after losing 100 lbs when I was 15-17. I take a Diosmin supplement daily, which is supposed to help. I'm not sure on the actual effectiveness of it…
  • Honestly, I never weigh eggs. I just assume 70 cal for a normal egg, and 120 for a double-yolker.
  • Yeah! It was a full 12ct. I was pretty surprised. I’m just supposed to take a picture of myself enjoying them and tag Quest on Facebook or something in return. In any case, I’m more than happy to do that if a company’s willing to send me good freebies like that.
  • Signing up is totally worth it! They send me stuff all the time. I’ve gotten coupons for free pizzas, free shirts and tank tops, and they sent me a free box of the Maple Waffle Bars last week. They have competitions and stuff for more freebies every once in a while too.
  • I like a cup of Bulletproof coffee every now and then as an afternoon pick-me-up or as an alternative for grabbing a snack. I normally make a 16 oz french press and blend it in my Blendtec with 1/2 tbsp of Brain Octane, 1/2 tbsp of unsalted butter, and a pinch of stevia for about 30 seconds. Sometimes I'll add some king of…
  • For Greek yogurt, I probably like Wallaby the best, but it's pretty hard to find. Stonyfield and Fage are my two favorite widely-available yogurts. ...But let's all be honest here, Skyr is really where it's at! Siggi's FTW!
