@GoldenEye_ I have to admit I'm 100% obsessed with the breed. My social life totally revolves around my dog (and his Instagram pals!)

My puppers!

Just started playing Burglars, Inc, which is a fun pipe dream type puzzle game. I'm really loving the soundtrack!

@KonFortune There are several 180 bpm playlists on Spotify, too - I frequently browse those to see what I might want to add to my personal 180 set.

When I say "my track" I really only meant my route. I was running around a neighborhood and down a waterfront path when I did my run, not doing laps! That wouldn't be a big problem for me, since I use my Garmin for mapping/pace anyway, but the fact that the music sounds terrible at an ideal cadence is a dealbreaker.

I tried it last night on a 5k run. My cadence is a really solid 180 bpm. Out of the 5 free songs, only 1 did not sound like utter trash at 180. It also requires you to turn on location services in order to use it, but then totally failed to accurately map my track, saying I only ran 1.73 miles. The idea is interesting, but…

@naculp I've been playing the normal 'Best Fiends' game - it's just so cute! Downloaded Marvel PuzzleQuest after I saw it mentioned here, but find it to be really laggy so I doubt I'll stick with it.

My husband's been addicted to War Dragons ( http://wardragons.com/ ). I haven't played much but it sure is pretty!

Love, Actually is one of my favourite movies of all time. My other holiday favourites: A Christmas Story, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Muppet Christmas Carol

Yep! I've recently decided 2016 CIM will be a DNS for me. I am having too many niggling injuries at this point to keep up my training schedule, so I am going to back off for a while until I drop a few pounds/re-strengthen some of the supporting muscles I need to prevent old injuries from coming back to haunt me. I hate to…

FWIW I *love* my Running Buddy Pocket. I used to have a Flipbelt but gave it away because it constantly rode up until it'd be flopping around my waist driving me nuts. Additionally, the Flipbelt I got was before they started including zippers and even in the flipped and "locked" position, my phone fell out twice while I…

Yep, for sure. I have a pup that turned 1 this summer and we're only starting to work on running politely on-leash (and on-command!) now, but won't go for building any distance until at least 18 months. At 11 weeks you want to enroll in a puppy manners class to work on basic training and leash/voice control as well as…

Feeling like I'm not going anywhere or (really) dreading my runs is usually what tells me I need to take a break from running. I'll spend a couple weeks working out any other way (but stick to a regular schedule so I don't get used to being sedentary) and the running itch tends to come back naturally.

@d_pattimore If this hasn't resolved for you, you should probably write to support. https://myfitnesspal.desk.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2504346-not-seeing-partner-adjustment-in-exercise-diary-or-steps-from-partner---fixed

Turning off exercise calories is a Premium feature so if you don't want to upgrade either don't log it, edit the calories to 1, or just leave that much left at the end of the day. And yes, you can definitely customize your calorie/nutrition goals:…

I've tried the Flipbelt - I wanted to wear it low on my hips, but it would CONSTANTLY ride up, and after my phone and keys fell out of the pocket (I didn't have the zipper version) more than once, I gave up. I love the Buddy Pouch - very convenient to get into on-the-run, but depending on what kind of waistband your shorts…

As soon as the MMF app syncs to its own website, I find that it auto-syncs to MFP. It does seem there is sometimes a delay to its own servers. The information does not travel from app-to-app on your phone, it goes over the network to communicate between the company servers.

Variety is awesome and YouTube is your friend. FitnessBlender has been mentioned (and is fantastic!), but also check out PopSugar Fitness and BeFit channels. BeFit has a few of the workouts from BeachBody programs for free that you can try out if you want to sample before buying into a program. I know she's hugely popular,…

It's generally easier to run in dryer heat, but elevation effects are always unpredictable. I know that I get altitude sickness and have to take it easy for the first several days I'm in a mountainous area (I live at sea level!). Be sure to hydrate, listen to your body, and don't push yourself too hard or you risk a killer…

Depending on where in California you are, you might have plenty of options to exercise outside since the weather is quite lovely! Check out online workouts: BeFit and RealFit have a lot of good videos on youtube, or https://www.fitnessblender.com/

Downloaded Overwatch on PC last night and played the tutorial/bot games, but also just got the American McGee's Alice games on my PS3. I'm playing the 2nd one now and am really enjoying it so far!

I did the Napa Valley Ragnar last autumn and had a lot of fun, but found it to be pretty disorganized/frustrating from an organizational standpoint, especially considering how established the Ragnar name is. (Overall leg distances changing significantly at the last minute, no support available at the times you most need…

Clearly I am running the wrong races. None of my events have come with baked goods, and I'd much rather have an edible medal than another chunk of metal to store!

Finally playing The Division. Trying to get to 30 so I can play Incursion missions with my husband.

You might want to check out Darebee - they have a lot of anime and movie themed workouts. http://darebee.com/workouts.html Also consider joining groups like http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/19589-girls-gone-geek

First off, you probably want to post this in the Fitness category as this isn't really a contentious/debate topic. In any case: Pretty much @ glorified pedometer. I like it because I don't carry my phone everywhere, so a wearable step tracker is more convenient for me, and I kinda like the UA Record full-day view. I also…

I'm recovering from a broken shoulder, so I'm just building up mileage again after 3+ months off and too many extra pounds packed on. I'm registered to run the SF Marathon on 31 July. I'm not racing it, but using it as a base-builder and proof to myself that I can run a full without walking. (I walked some of my first…

I have an ultra-runner friend who used to run 70 miles on a Saturday "just for fun." He'd grab a backpack, fill it with Arby's sandwiches and munch his way around his route.

I don't know anything about Suunto, but my Garmin 920XT has been a huuuuuge improvement from any previous version I'd used.
