A lot of times it's just a mental thing... But there are worse things to feel.

Short story: As long as you don't go over your calories you will not hurt your weight loss efforts. Everyone's weight fluctuates up and down naturally, but it's not the fault of sugar or any other individual element. MFP sets the sugar goal ridiculously low. Unless you are diabetic you don't need to track your sugar…

Welcome fellow vegan! Once you get the hang of it, being vegan is easy! Plus it's soooo rewarding physically and mentally. I'm always experimenting with new recipes from cool vegan blogs. I would recommend checking out ohsheglows.com if you want some healthy, simple vegan recipes. :)

A cup of frozen mixed vegetables (without any oil or cheese or any of that jazz) is like 60 calories. So if I go over my calories I have like 2 cups of that. :P

This is my SHOW! (Is that weird?) I love watching Adam Richman chow down! Kills my apetite every time. I met him last year. Did you know he's actually vegetarian when he's not filming? Thought that was pretty cool. I almost feel bad for him when he gets stuff like that set in front of him... Lol

I only used the 30+ figure because that is the most I have run up until now. I'm thinking that maybe I should stick to the half marathon distance. I mean finishing a full would be a huge accomplishment, but I can always do it later on in life. Maybe I should work on improving my half time for now, and think about full…

I didn't use a training plan, but I have heard great things about Hal Higdon's novice half marathon training program.

I always lay my work out clothes right next to the bed, or even sleep in them so that when I wake up I am reminded of what needs to be done!
-
When I am maintaining, I give myself a weight window. Generally my weight fluctuates between 127-129lbs, so if I go over that weight for more than a week I know I am eating too much.
-
I think the lemon juice should be enough to preserve it. :) if there is any fruit that needs to be sliced, I would recommend not doing that until the night before you are planning to eat it.
-
This makes me happy! Everyone should eat the diet that works for them, and we should leave it at that.
-
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. There are advocates on this site for every diet, some more extreme then others. But using your own picture to body shame someone is just wrong, under any circumstance.
-
If you already bring your own snacks I don't know what to tell you except to try and keep them out of sight. if you don't walk past them you're less likely to take something. Out of sight out of mind.

You can be unhealthy and overweight no matter what you eat or don't eat. There are plenty of junk food options for vegetarians, vegans, and omnivores alike.
-
I've been a vegetarian all my life. I used to be fat and miserable because all I ate was cheese, bread, pasta, and ice cream. It's easy to be unhealthy as a vegetarian. Now my diet is full of fruits and veggies and I'm obviously in much better shape!

I would have done the same if it meant winning all that money. The point is, you shouldn't call someone disgusting, especially when you know they have worked extremely hard. For the most part she lost weight the healthy way on the show.
-
It doesn't matter whether she looks healthy or not. She lost weight in the first place because she felt terrible about herself. How would you feel if you worked so hard to lose all that weight only to have the entire country say you look horrible? We all acknowledge that she lost a dramatic amount or weight because she…
-
Someone is 5 pounds underweight and people say she looks disgusting. Someone is 50 pounds overweight and people praise them for being so beautiful and brave. The double standard is infuriating.

I think if it's a teenager making their own conscious decision to do it, it's not child abuse even if it's facilitated by the parent. But for a 4 year old? I agree, it's negligence on the parent's part if they don't give their child actual food.

$600 for a juice cleanse?! Holy crap.
-
So glad you like it!
-
You might need to increase the amount if you're going to be using garbanzo flour, since coconut flour absorbs a lot of the moisture. Just keep adding flour in until you get a crust like consistency. :)
-
Just because someone is a few calories under their goal a day or 2 does not mean they are starving... Jeez.
-
Because the bigger deficit I have during the week, the more I can go crazy on the weekend!

Why not fresh fruit?

I know fat is not evil. But high fat diets discourage the intake of carbs including fruits and veggies. Not to mention that a typical overweight or obese person taken in about 40-60% of their calories from fat, which is excessive. All the macro nutrients should be eaten in moderation.
-
Ok then to clarify, it is devoid of any nutrients I need in MY diet.
-
And a high fat diet is super healthy as everyone knows. Not responsible for obesity or food addiction or anything.

If i do go out to eat I get a salad with no dressing or specifically check that no animal products are used in preparing it.
