I love me some cinnamon. It just makes everything taste more warm and earthy. :)

I love my Polar FT4. It was only $80 and it's super duper easy to use. No bells and whistles though. It gives you your heart rate and calorie burn, which is really all I was looking for. The chest band is much more comfortable then many I have worn in the past though.

Well said!

The scale says 2 pounds but I'm pretty sure most of it is bloat. No big deal, it was worth it!

If you want to strength train at home I would recommend investing in some 5-10 lb dumbbells and following work outs on youtube. Jillian Michaels has some good one, and if you don't have any equipment you can look up blogiates. She has a ton of free body weight based pilates work outs that are killer!

Please do not follow a low carb diet, or restrict anything for that matter. It's all nonsense. What you need to do is build muscle. That is the only way to increase your lean body mass which will in turn increase your metabolism and help you lose fat. I would recommend looking up a really simple beginner plan like…

When I started I could run for 30 seconds without stopping. Now I can run 10 miles. The key is to push yourself to do a little more each and every day. When you feel like you can't go on anymore, push it for just a minute more.

Really? I got a 2 pack of PB2 from Amazon for like $7.

It's amazing! I use it in smoothies, for baking, and dressings.

Even my tiny apartment gym was full when i got off work. Luckily by 6pm it was all cleared out and I had it to myself.

My boyfriend and I are polar opposites in the food department. I am a mostly raw vegan/ vegetarian. He is a southern cookin' carnivore. We each make our own dinners. Occasionally when he doesn't want to make anything he'll eat what I'm having, and on special occasions I will cook him something he likes. But for the most…

I'm trying to incorporate more raw foods into my diet. If I could afford it I would go fully raw.

In a job interview. Ugh it was just awful!

Eating sugar from fruit is completely different from eating processed and refined sugars. Don't worry about it, trust me!

The Polar FT4 uses your gender, height, age, and HR to calculate calorie burn. If you truly are out of shape, that's probably a good ballpark estimate. The more weight you lose, the less calories you will burn. I am 5'5 and 130 pounds, I only burn 100 calories on a 30 minute walk. I usually subtract 20% of what my FT4 says…

I kind of feel this way. I know I shouldn't, but I do.

Your weight will fluctuate drastically, and a lot of factors can contribute to whether that fluctuation is up or down. Don't worry about it!

I started with just the bar (45lbs) and moved up to 75 lbs in about a month. I can't do chest presses anymore though because I have breast implants now. lol

Zucchini noodles with tahini, sesame seeds, and baked tofu. Yum yum yum!

You can be healthy at 20-25 pounds overweight. Once you start encroaching the territory of 50lbs overweight or more... no. I'm sorry but with kind of excess weight you're obviously not making your health a priority. The extra weight on your joints and organs is enough to classify you as unhealthy at that point even if your…

I like this really easy cucumber and radish salad on the go. 1 cucumber thinly sliced 4-5 radishes thinly sliced 1/2 cup shredded red cabbage 1/2 cup shredded carrot 2 tbsp raw apple cider vinegar Optional: 1/2 tbsp sesame seeds I just toss it together, let it marinate in the fridge for about 30 minutes, and then eat!

70 pound weight loss has been maintained for 1 year and 4 months now. :) Hopefully this year will be the one where I lose those last stubborn 10 pounds...

There is absolutely not need to cut gluten out of your diet unless you have an intolerance to it. A lot of people recommend cutting out bread because they are on low carb diets. However, diet is a function of calories in and calories out, so if you are eating at a deficit you will lose weight whether or not you eat bread.…

Ugh ITBS is the bane of my existence. It was improving vastly until I upped my mileage, and around mile 9-10 the pain is unbearable! No amount of rolling, stretching, or strengthening has done me any good. I just have to take an ibuprofen before the pain starts and pray that I can finish.

You are an inspiration! I'm lucky to have you on my friends list. <3

Chia seeds are amazing. They have lots of fiber and micronutrients. Not to mention they are a vegan source of omega 3's and protein.

Hope you realize what you're getting yourself into!
