If your really freaked out you can buy Lactose free milk, the sugar level varies depending on brand (and it's not lactose but added sugar) from 1-9grams. I buy lactose free milk because two of my kids are lactose intolerant

If you eat above 1200 (as a female) and have exercise calories logged it won't give you the you've eaten to little message (at least it never has me, I only get the message if my food number is below 1200). Even then I still get the prediction number for 5 weeks (even though the message says I won't get it)

If it's carbs 160-200 sugars 120-160 (it all depends on my glucose levels that day, the lower they are the higher my sugar and carb goals).

I gain 5-7 pounds the day before my period starts and it drops off the day before it ends. I gain 1-3 pounds at ovulation but it only lasts a day or two. I don't get hungry but crave red meat the first couple of days (I just make sure we eat red meat those nights and do pretty good. Most months I can work through the…

When my dad was getting chemo treatments another patients friend was saying "I should see if I can get my doctor to approve chemo for me since you've lost so much weight". All of us in the waiting room just stared at her, her friend looked like he wanted to strangle her.

I like the Orowheat sandwich pockets, 100 calories for half a flat bread. If not that then Orowheat buttermilk white or their whole wheat

I weigh every morning and log it in my happy scale app (which givese my trend). I log my weight on MFP only once a week.

Next month is my 16 year wedding anniversary. We did ours on the "cheap", mainly because we were moving states the following month and well I'm cheap. Got married by a judge I knew at the courthouse and had a small party at our house (including the party, and the honeymoon we spent a grand total of $1,700). My advice talk…

I use a polar device as well, and I eat back about half of what I burn. If I eat less then I notice that my workouts start to suffer.

I don't think it is just you, my hubby can drink 7-8 beers (he drinks the craft style microbrews) and be almost completely sober, 2 mixed drink or a glass of wine and he's totally hammered. He rarely drinks, and never drives after have more than 1 beer. For what ever reason his body metabolizes beer differently.

If it's something that doesn't happen every week I would just up my calories to maintenance for the day. You won't undue any of your progress with one day at maintenance.

Use the old numbers, then under breakfast log breastfeeding, it will give you several options, select exclusively breastfeeding and it will add 500 calories to your day. If you see a drop in milk production add 100 calories (you can edit the breastfeeding entry) at a time until your production is back to normal.

No one on here knows you, nor has seen you in real life, so while trying to give the best answers to your questions many do a quick bmi calculation. Bmi is a great tool for averages, but obviously someone who has a small build can be at the low end (or slightly under) ideal bmi and be perfectly healthy, just as someone…

If you set your MFP account to lose 2 pounds per week you should eat the calories it gives you, as that number already has your goal deficit built in. Which yes means eating back your exercise calories (though if your using MFP burn estimators they tend to be high so most eat 50-75% back) The number MFP gives you under the…

My Husband is a old school Catholic (he attends a Portuegse church), and follows the no meat on Fridays all year long. He and I both love fish which I make every Friday, however my kids don't like most of it, so I end up making separate foods for them (but I stick to the no meat except for my underweight toddler). My…

I'm not a stress eater, (stress makes me twitchy and nauseated, eating on top of it makes me vomit). However because it makes me twitchy (think energizer bunny on crack) physical activity is the only thing that helps me (I prefer running, as I don't have to concentrate and can let my mind wander without maiming myself).…

Anything I did (like housework, yard work) on a regular basis while getting fat I don't log. When I went up to my moms at Thanksgiving and hauled brush and downed trees on her front acreage for 8-10 hours on two days I counted it (though I cut the calories burned given by MFP in 1/3).

In my opinion people want to believe that losing weight is hard and complicated or require expensive "fixes" so they have an excuse as to why they can't do it. Either because they just don't want to or they lack the motivation to actually reduce their intake. If they believe that it's simple CICO (eat less and move more)…

I'm 5' 9.5" and I'm aiming for 165-180 depending on how I feel when I get there. I know I don't want to go below 150, because that's as low as I can go without looking ill. I have a large frame, with wide shoulders).

My neighbor brought a huge piece of cake over from his wife's birthday party, I have it to hubby and the kids to share. The biggest win, I really didn't want any

Because it only looks at your net calories for the day, figures that net times 5 weeks and subtracts it from your current weight. It doesn't look at what number you have set as your loss goal per week.

Please talk to your doctor about this. If you haven't seen on obstetrician call one tomorrow and ask for an appointment. Tell them you've just been diagnosed as pre-diabetic. They will likely give you guidelines and refer you to a diatitian.

I gain 7 pounds (of water) the day before TOM, so far nothing I've tried has changed this, (it drops off on its own by the time my period ends). However if I gain water due to high sodium intake if I drink lots of water the next day or two it seems to flush it out.

Feel free to add me. I've been a stay at home mom on and off for the past 16 years. My kids are 22 (step daughter), 19, 14 & 4. I stopped working (this time) 7 years ago when my now 19 year old daughter had a major medical issue. Just as she was finally well enough for me to go back to work I found out I was pregnant with…

After high sodium for the past 3 days, and TOM for me, I'm up 4 pounds today. I've tracked my weight daily (I'm on day 166) and have seen the pattern of my fluctuations, so I'm not worried about it. For me if I drink extra water I'll lose the water weight over the next 5-6 days.

I cut alcohol out in January when I started training for my run, but I'm happy to give support during lent for anyone that wants it. I learned in January first there's no hell like running the day after drinking a lot...

I personally have never used Jenny Craig however my cousin has, 3 time so far in the past 25 years. She loses the weight (80-100 pounds), and gains it all right back when she stops. Her hubby and kid are healthy weights .
