Hi there everyone! I see we had some great weekend activities. I actually decided on Friday that I was going to run a 5k on Saturday. I am a bit crazy like that... I was quite nervous as the farthest I had run was 2 miles. I had three goals going into the race:* Finish the race * Run the whole time * Come in at under 40…

Chuck it through the door...made me laugh out loud.

Interested in hearing more about your weightlifting class. Is this an organized class at a gym? I have been following a program on my own that I found online but have no clue what I am doing. I pay for a membership at 9Round and they don't have weights but I really feel that the strenghth training has made a difference for…

I love this! Cake and wine for all.

I love my 9Round gym!

So excited that I will be driving to the airport in 24 hours to leave for our dream vacation to Hawaii! My goal is to work out at least 3 days of the trip. I plan on enjoying myself and not being too militant with my calories so I can enjoy some drinks and such. I will see everyone on the flip side, cant wait to catch up…

I just recently started with weights and I love it too!

Welcome kimsciolino! What a fantastic accomplishment 70lbs!

I agree with the others that 3 days is not a long time at all. I typically stall and even gain right before my cycle begins so that may be part of what you are seeing. I had a plateau a couple of weeks ago that lasted for two weeks and I added weights to my exercise regimen and it knocked me right out of it. No matter what…

I would give an overnight stool softener a try, should help out quite a bit.

Thanks for all the comments, ideas and support. I took the advice and ran the one mile to the clubhouse, did my lifting and then ran the one mile back home. Problem solved!

Happy Monday cool kids! I am so proud to say that I hit my Hawaii goal of 25 lbs plus another 2lbs. I am so happy about this and couldn't wait to share. Looks like there was a lot of activity over the weekend, I love it.

It is actually going quite well and helped me break free of a plateau. To each their own I guess and what works for one may not work for another. Thank you for the support.

Everyone here is so inspiring. I love reading about all the cool activities that are being done. I am working from home today and due to a conference my 9Round gym is closing at 1pm today and will not be open this weekend. I was able to fit in a workout this morning and will strength train tomorrow and probably rest on…

I bought a set at Marshalls for when I am travelling to use in the hotel for a workout. There are workout routines for resistance bands on YouTube that you can use. Good for you and good luck!

Good morning! Did 9Rounds last night, the ab work on the bosu ball was a killer. Starting to enjoy time at the pool and will have to resist the temptation to start skipping workouts to soak in the sun. gam3rguy you continue to amaze and inspire me with your P90X journey. TmacMMM you are my hero if you can do long runs on…

What a great motivation. I myself passed that milestone 6 years ago but a goal is good. The hubs and I are leaving on holiday to Hawaii in 10 days. That has been a massive motivator for us the last 3 months and both of us have lost over 20lbs. For me it was great having that goal line. You can do this!

Some very good ideas here, I am embarrassed to say that I hadn't thought about running outside. I guess I figured the machines are inside right next to the treadmill and my plan says to run so I run.
-
Thanks all, I do realize that they are trying to be complimentary and I truly appreciate their intent. I just feel a bit embarrassed that is all. It is motivational though to actually be "skinny" someday.

Well the scale budged a bit today, I am hoping that it isn't a fluke. I am hopeful that it was the addition of the strength training that did it. Went to 9Round last night and will do weight lifting and running tonight. I leave for Hawaii in 11 days and wanted to be down another 5lbs to hit my goal that I set almost 3…

Way to go! I couldn't imagine doing any of the P90X workouts at this stage in my fitness journey, hats off to you!
-
Thanks Betty! I have done two workouts now. I felt a bit silly on the first one finding out how to use the equipment etc but felt much better on the second go around. Thank you for the encouragement.

I found this work out that I am going to start tonight to try to break through a plateau. https://bodybuilding.com/content/best-beginner-weight-training-guide-with-easy-to-follow-workout.html

Please be careful and work with your doctor or a lactation consultant when considering reducing calories while nursing.

I am newer here and I have lost 20lbs in the last few months by kickboxing classes with some running sprinkled in along with tracking my food. I have stalled out a bit at 20 so tonight I am adding some strength training to the mix. I have never really used weights or machines before so tonight should be comical if nothing…

What is this challenge you speak of? I am interested.

I use my apple watch to keep me accountable for at least 30 minutes of exercise per day. I also attend 9Round at least 4 times a week and run on off days. I am looking to start adding some strength training to the regimen but have no idea where to begin.

Right now I am full blast motivated by a trip my husband and I are taking at the end of May. I refuse to spend a ton of money on a vacation and hate every single picture.

I already said this in a different post but how much more comfortably I fit into a airplane seat.
