It's pretty crazy! I personally don't see the need in working out as fast and hard as I possibly can every single work out. I think there a lot of people who injure themselves . . . but, look into it and ask around. Go to a CrossFit gym to see for yourself. You can also do a lot of searches on the internet. I do like a lot…

Day 10! Made a plan for the day ~ goin' to Sea World! Packed my lunch and snacks. Not gonna eat ANY of their junk! Gotta love the prep! Keeps me on track. Stay well, All! : )

Hi, Sarah, I have never done the binge and purge thing, but I have been a compulsive overeater. You may certainly friend me if you'd like though. Are you getting professional help? I know what you are facing is not easy . . . but, you can overcome it. Take care, Lynne

Ditto . . . write it down. I was a little surprised when I started logging my food in to MFP. I thought my salads were like 200 calories . . . they're really more like 400! It's all good stuff, but it adds up.

Woohoo! Day 9 and goin' strong! It is amazing what a deadline will do you. And one that is not too far in the future. I have to remember to keep breaking my goals down into smaller chunks, celebrate those little victories, and keep moving forward.

@P4arv Try either increasing the time you exercise or the intensity. In other words, if you exercise for 30 minutes try bumping it up to 45. Or, if you are doing resistance training, increase the weights. And . . . cardio work isn't going to get you the same fat burning as resistance training. Check out Turbulence Training…

@ prgirl, Thx, I appreciate the thumbs up! I see you have lost 14 lbs . . . way to go! It's all about the consistency, isn't it? I am now on Day 7, feeling great! @ SquishyVicki, Thank you for your note! Good luck to you, too! @ nino, I appreciate your support! 20 days until my climb! : ) My best to you, too!

Good observation, Diadia1! I said I was going to work out twice a day, and I have only done that a few times. Life happens! I am a teacher and go back to work on Friday, so I am jammin' trying to get myself all set. But I am getting in the one work out per day. In fact, I am about to go do that right now . . . and it's…

@ Helena, I like your plan to plan! It makes such a difference than winging it! I've done both, and planning just makes my life easier, really. I get my lunch & snacks ready the night before. Sometimes I do all of them on Sunday PM, then just have to pull them out that AM. Remember, you start where you are, Helena . . .…

Very proud right now! Volunteered last night @ a charity function where I was a food server, of all things! At the end of the night I wrestled with my conscience about having the gelato or not . . . I won in all ways! I didn't eat it, and woke this AM feeling so happy I followed through with my intentions. Before I went, I…

Nice going RobinsEgg! Keep that exercise program going . . . it will speed fat loss as well as building muscle. And muscle burns more calories than fat, so keep getting stronger!
-
@kitfulofstarl, Glad if it helped! It's so easy to pick a HUGE goal and then not know where to start . . . A little at a time . . . still means progress! Love the pup, BTW!

Day 4 and I am off to exercise right now! Been busy creating business cards . . . very fun. But it's time to MOVE . . . all the sitting makes me batty! Stay well, All!

Hi, yobby, To begin with . . . good for you for NOT giving up! If you did it before you can do it again. : ) Sounds like you have a lot going on. But I agree with another poster that said she had to start thinking about herself. That is not egocentric, it's simply smart . . . and crucial! We have to care about ourselves…

Thanks, brandon, Susan, and queenie! I wish you guys wellness and happiness, too! This is my first time starting a topic and I'm fairly new to MFP . . . this is SO cool to be able to post something and, like magic, people respond in an encouraging fashion! Gotta love it! : ) I've read before that the best way to lose…

I have begun reading these forums and am encouraging others . . . you help yourself when you help others! : )

Congrats on your new baby! Are you able to broach the subject with your husband? He loves you and would probably love to help. Perhaps he could speak with his mom and ask her to stop pushing food on you. Although, you need to advocate for yourself as well. Anyway, make a plan . . . choose one habit to change this week . .…

Hi, tcufrogmom, You sound overwhelmed . . . it's understandable, but not impossible! Make a plan for yourself. Decide what you will eat and when then write it down. Don't allow yourself to deviate. Get out for a short walk each day, if you can. Or march in front of the TV if you can't get away because of your new little…

Great attitude, Andrezia (pretty name!)! Stick with it! Never give up . . . Take care!

Hi, karmahunger, Pick one habit at a time you would like to change. If you try to do too much at once, you might just feel overwhelmed. If it's exercise, make a plan: write down what exercise you will do each day, where, when, etc. If it's nutrition, make a plan (sound familiar? : ) ): write down what you will eat for each…

Woohoo! I've never smoked but I've seen many try to quit . . . never give up! : ) You can do it!!!
