So . . . had a great day today! Planned my meals, ate what I was supposed to, did my work out, and now get to connect with others who have similar challenges. It's all good! Looking forward to tomorrow, too! Hope everyone is doing well. : )

Hi, Healthy4Life4My Kids, First, please check out your name on here . . . are you doing it for your kids, or for you? . . . That's kind of key, I think. It probably will never be a permanent thing as long as you are doing it for someone else. Next, when you want to snack, go check the mirror. And by that I mean look…

Good for you! A great exercise . . . love them! : )

Thank You! : )

Thx for the good wishes, All! It is Tuesday the 10th and the climb on Sunday the 8th went great!!! I climbed 1,875 steps . . . 90 floors! I was waiting for the 2nd day (today) to feel any soreness, but have had none! Guess my training paid off! It was a terrific experience and I encourage everybody to give it a go! Such a…

Woohoo!!! The climb is tomorrow! Did not hit my goal weight, but made progress . . . I will renew my goals on Monday! : )
-
Good day today! 4 days 'till my climb . . . my exercise is making me stronger . . . my eating has slowed my weight loss. Tonight I regain my nutritional goals! : )

@SunnieRN3, I hear you: "I am at the spot where I get lax, scared, lazy and start eating what I want, when I want." Yup, we are emotional eaters. I eat when I'm happy, I eat when I'm sad, I eat when I'm depressed, and blah-blah-blah! I am SO over myself! It is a cycle I have been challenged by forever. I finally feel like…

@joselo2, You can be anybody you want! : ) You just don't know it yet . . . Start with some small changes: Plan your food the night before, maybe take a walk. Give yourself an incentive . . . if you do this, then you get that . . . just not food, I guess! Set a deadline, like do the food planning for one week. Keep…

@Kisara, You're right, of course, as they say, there is no finish line!
-
@Shy1975, I do believe you have hit the nail on the head: "no more excuses, no more blame, no more self pity parties but a rebirth into a life of joy, victory and endless possibilities because I am the Author now". So well said! We all need to believe we are worthy of whatever we dream we can do! Great job on your 50 lb.…

@HeyGoRun, I totally agree, new goals all the time so we don't become complacent. Good luck to you, too! : )
-
@twistedbutter, Great job on the 42 lb. weight loss! And great thoughts about want to get and remain healthy. I want to be around for quite a while, so that's motivating for me, too! : )
-
@getitamb, Love the idea about not motivating anyone else if you gain . . . I do want to be a good role model as well. I will keep at it! Congrats on your weight loss!
-
@CamoChick, First, congrats on that amazing weight loss! And, you're right, it's more than just the number on the scale. And I do change up my routines and set new fitness goals all the time. I actually have done one marathon and 7 half marathons. : ) I do see the changes in my body and LOVE them! But there is still some…

Yup . . . structure and routine are vital, aren't they? I love the saying: Choose . . . The Pain of Discipline Or The Pain of Remorse

Hmmm . . . lambchoplewis (great name!), You might be right . . . let me mull that over . . .

Hi, genkiemi, Yup, I agree with a lot of posters . . . your weight is probably too low, you need to build some muscle, and you are probably that "skinny fat" thing they were referring to. No worries, though. Here's why: If you are scared of the "heavy weights" reference, there is an alternative, or at least a way to start…

Owieee . . . so many people in so much pain . . . and it seems the more we push against someone, the more they push back . . . makes sense, right? Kindness always seems to be a much better choice . . . OP, I think you know what you are talking about as far as knowing your trigger foods. Hmmm . . . I still recall my first…

Whoops, that last post was for you Curly1980. You have adorable kids! : ) Just read your profile and I like how honest you are. To get to where we want to be we have to be completely honest with ourselves. I have lied about how much food I did or didn't eat, too. I love this forum . . . so many nice folks . . .…

Yup, I think that is part of my issue as well. I was within three pounds of my goal and, slowly but surely, I gained back 10 or so pounds putting me 15 lbs away again. Now I have lost five, so I have 10 to go . . . but I do that whole pesky sabotage thing! I may never figure this out, but I will keep trying 'till the end!…

Hmmm . . . did you ever figure out why you did that CurvaceousBea? Still trying to puzzle this one out. Thanks for your input!

Best answer! : )

So I had a streak of 14 days going, then I fell off pretty badly for one day (nutritionally, that is). But the next day I was WAY better. And today . . . perfect eating. My exercise stayed good all the way through, though! Yay! Tonight I may hit the treadmill . . . just to make it a little more equal. : )

Finishing off my 13th day . . . AND 13 more days to my climb! I am thrilled at how strong I have been . . . I think the meditation is really paying off. I'm kind of a hyper sort, and it has such a calming effect on me. I'm a little shocked, quite frankly! The biggest challenge of my life has been my eating. So I'm gonna…

Oh-h-h-h, don't give up . . . I have only been on this site for a couple of weeks, but you can really find some good support here. What are you finding to be the hardest part for you? Go ahead and friend me if you'd like. Lynne

First of all, 80+ lbs. . . . Woohoo for you! Well-done! Love #5 . . . too bad they don't have the size you need. In that case, #4 since it is the same style. Also, please don't take offense, perhaps get a bra specialist? Big department stores offer that service. You would be surprised the difference it can make. : )…

Totally depends on the guy . . . although I usually don't go younger than 4-5 years. That being said, the last guy I dated was 5 years younger, and after four months he told me I was too old! He told me I looked good now but . . . Hmmmph! There is nothing old about me . . . I work two jobs, one of them is as a personal…

"Mature men" . . . kind of an oxymoron . . . hee-hee!
