My Challenge For Me : )

I am doing a 110 story 911 Fireman's Climb in 26 days.
I am pledging to eat only healthy food and stay within my caloric guidelines.
I am pledging to eat nothing after dinner, except for some clean protein, if needed.
I am pledging to workout in the AM, and use the treadmill for HIIT workouts at night.
I believe in myself.
I trust myself.
I love myself. <3
I shall prevail! : )

You know what, if you can stick to it, you are a SuperHero! And a hero regardless. Firefighters are true heroes! P.S., just give yourself one 'cheat' day. You deserve it!

    Thanks, brandon, Susan, and queenie!
I wish you guys wellness and happiness, too!
This is my first time starting a topic and I'm fairly new to MFP . . . this is SO cool to be able to post something and, like magic, people respond in an encouraging fashion! Gotta love it! : )
I've read before that the best way to lose weight and keep it off is to follow these five guidelines:
    1. Plan Ahead
    2. Eat Breakfast
    3. Exercise
    4. Get Support
    5. Set Goals
I have always done 1, 2, 3, and 5, but didn't really know where to go get support . . . well, yahoo! Here it is!.
Being accountable to an outside source is crucial, I think.
Good luck to all of you, too, and thanks again for your nice responses!
    Day 2 is lookin' good!

    Very proud right now!
Volunteered last night @ a charity function where I was a food server, of all things! At the end of the night I wrestled with my conscience about having the gelato or not . . . I won in all ways! I didn't eat it, and woke this AM feeling so happy I followed through with my intentions.
Before I went, I reminded myself of my nutrition goals, and I stuck by them.
Day 6 should prove to be a good one . . . I don't have to live with the remorse and guilt of breaking a promise to myself . . .
    I think I just got stronger! : )

    Good observation, Diadia1!
I said I was going to work out twice a day, and I have only done that a few times. Life happens! I am a teacher and go back to work on Friday, so I am jammin' trying to get myself all set. But I am getting in the one work out per day. In fact, I am about to go do that right now . . . and it's 11:20 PM here. : )
I am happy about my food, though, clean as a whistle!
Hope you are doing well, too!

Woohoo! Day 9 and goin' strong! It is amazing what a deadline will do you. And one that is not too far in the future. I have to remember to keep breaking my goals down into smaller chunks, celebrate those little victories, and keep moving forward.

Finishing off my 13th day . . . AND 13 more days to my climb! I am thrilled at how strong I have been . . . I think the meditation is really paying off. I'm kind of a hyper sort, and it has such a calming effect on me. I'm a little shocked, quite frankly! The biggest challenge of my life has been my eating. So I'm gonna keep this going! In fact, I will probably begin meditating 2x/day. It's only 10 or 15 minutes at a time, and the advantages really seem to be showing up! Have a great week, All! : )

So I had a streak of 14 days going, then I fell off pretty badly for one day (nutritionally, that is). But the next day I was WAY better. And today . . . perfect eating. My exercise stayed good all the way through, though! Yay!
Tonight I may hit the treadmill . . . just to make it a little more equal. : )

Thx for the good wishes, All!
It is Tuesday the 10th and the climb on Sunday the 8th went great!!! I climbed 1,875 steps . . . 90 floors!
I was waiting for the 2nd day (today) to feel any soreness, but have had none! Guess my training paid off!
It was a terrific experience and I encourage everybody to give it a go! Such a great cause . . .
    Firefighters Rock!

Now . . . onto a new goal to accomplish!
    Best to all,
    Lynne
