~1500. Sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less, but I usually get within 50 calories of the goal.

I think so. My fat goal is 40% and I hit it almost square on the head today. Carbs: 82 g Fat: 68 g Protein: 129g

For me, I find binging is the result of depriving myself of something I really want. I can do it for several days, but the craving gets stronger and stronger until I give in and then I binge. On the other hand, if I just have a reasonable amount of the thing I am craving as soon as I crave it, and still keep within my…

Support said to unlink and relink again and that worked for some reason. Not sure why it didn't fix it the first time.

I went ahead and sent an email to BodyMedia support. We'll see what they say.

I had to move mine, because it was causing a lot of problems on my arm. I wore it as loose as I could and it still cut into my arm, left red marks and caused pain to shoot into my armpit. Even when it was loose enough that it would frequently fall down, I still had the problem. Now I either wear it around my calf, right…

I agree it is a trick of lighting, but things like this don't happen on accident.

Yes. I definitely recommend it. You can really feel it working and he's a great motivator.

I didn't do the diet, but IIRC it is a low carb, high protein thing. I discarded it immediately when I saw it said that you can't eat fruit after noon and you can't eat fruit and vegetables in the same meal.

Yep. Child-free by choice. I've known since I was 14 that I did not want kids. Everyone said I would change my mind and "it's different when they're yours." I'm now 38 and still feel the same way. Although, if I thought having kids would stop people like the Duggers from ruining more, I might consider it. But, sadly, it…

Ah, But Cersei isn't Mrs Lannister, she's Mrs Baratheon.

Being a proud nerd isn't losing my sense of self, just the opposite.
-
It bothers me only in the sense that it frightens me how much people lose their sense of self when they have kids.

I'm definitely flexible on the weight goal. I just chose 135 because when I plugged various weights into the "Better Ideal weight" thing that was the weight around which women of my height stopped feeling like they needed to lose more weight. I'll go with whatever feels right as I get closer.…

As a fellow math nerd, I salute you. I guess my thinking was that if I wanted to lose faster I could just increase my activity level, which I expect to be easier the more weight I lose. Hopefully.

I'm thinking about ditching mine. It's worked pretty well for me, BUT it has now developed a hole where the button is. This is because over the past 4 - 6 months I can't get it to sync with my phone unless I constantly push that button and reconnect the bluetooth. I don't think it will last much longer. When it is time to…

Until you develop B 12 deficiency and can no longer repair nerves or make new red blood cells.

I've been having problems with this for a couple of weeks. I unlinked and relinked the accounts a few days and it fixed it for a while, but it is back to doing the same thing. The food data gets transferred to BM, but the activity data doesn't seem to transfer to MFP.

My goals are 2500/1500. I usually end up around 2800/1800, though.

Never mind. I guess I misunderstood what "Motivation and Support" meant. I know better than to post in this topic again.

I have a Garmin FR70. I can't really compare it with anything else, but I like it well enough. I like the ANT+ interface and that it syncs up with my BMF armband. The watch is uncomfortable, but I don't think any other brand would be better. Though it would be nice if I could clip it to my sleeve or something instead. The…

Been there. I was eating strawberry shortcake the other day and my sister, who has been staying with us for a couple of month, says "how's your diet going? are you still losing?" in that skeptical tone I imagine we have all heard. I just said it's going great, which it is. Down another 1.5 lb as of today, in fact.

Apparently I'm actually "super obese." That's not a comic book hero who looks bad in tights, it's the next classification above morbid obesity (yes, that exists). The good news is, I used to be "super super obese," yes, two supers and not the good kind. In 20 more pounds I will have dropped into the morbid obese category.…

OP, I mentioned DDP Yoga upthread and I was just looking at my DVD set and realized there is actually a workout for people who need to strengthen the lower body without doing floor exercises. It's called "Stand Up!" and the whole thing is standing.

I weigh almost every day. It can be frustrating at times, but I also find it really valuable to see my weight fluctuations. I have a lot of issues with water retention, so seeing how it is going on a day-to-day basis keeps my frustration in check, I think. Otherwise, I would get annoyed when I weighed myself and I gained,…

I cut gluten for a few months so see if I was intolerant. The first week I had a severe headache and was tired all the time, then I felt normal. When I added gluten back in I didn't have any symptoms, so I am back on gluten.

DDP Yoga. I just started it and it is great. Puts almost no stress on the joints.

Have you considered something like the Tripollar Stop? I have never used one, but it is supposed to be the same technology as thermage, but for home use.

I gave up artificial sweeteners in 2010. The withdraw I went through was worse than when I quite smoking. Headaches. Nausea. Mood swings. The whole bit. PS. Stevia is not artificial, no need to give that up.

Back when I was doing it in a journal and having to calculate all the values myself, I found it annoying. But these days? With MFP and all the other awesome logging apps? Not really. It only takes a couple of minutes and the app does all the work. Once it became a habit, I really stopped thinking about it. Even weighing my…
