I was a running fanatic, but now that I am training for a triathlon, I don't know which of the three things I like the best...I love running, cycling AND swimming...right now I might be leaning more toward cycling or swimming though.

Don't skip the strength training for now. Have you ever noticed that guys will drop weight super fast while we hit the gym constantly running and doing zumba all the time?!?! They weight train. What happens is that you will build muscle which burns calories longer. Also, after you strength train you will continue to burn…

The website listed above suggests that the kidneys can process 15L a day.

It is possible to drink TOO much water, where your cells get so flooded with water that you are essentially drowning yourself. I think that is pretty hard to do though. Make sure you are getting enough sodium along with all that water. Good for you...that's a great thing to worry about, I think!

Do you realize how quickly boobs can change? This could mean you would have a new chick every few months!

You are so lucky you found out this early!! My daughter is the Dairy Queen and we are just now realizing (she is 5) that she is lactose intolerant -- or something! Testing it out now. I won't take her to the doc because they aren't going to tell me anything I don' t know or can't figure out on my own. Anyway, I think I'm…

you playa!! lol Well...when I had a SO it made my habits worse and I didn't log. I value people over tasks...so I would always put him before this, but I'm glad to be losing again...back to progress!!

I shop at thrift stores and buy just a few clothes here and there in different sizes. I have clothes in my closet that are just a tad too small to too big. I also shop sales at the end of the season for the next year. I really like having clothes that fit though...shopping too small gives me the boost to lose just a few…

My daughter will not eat sweet potatoes, and I DO NOT get it! They taste like candy!! Sometimes I mash them and put in sugar free maple syrup. OMG...YUMMO! Mostly, like most others...I bake it in the microwave for 5+ minutes and eat it with butter or cinnamon/sugar or honey. It's an easy side.

LOL wow..I had to be careful not to laugh out loud at work! FUNNY!

Women dress for other women...not for the men. You DBs don't notice anyway. ;)

I like that you say this is a starting point. Many times people get SO overwhelmed with the code words in nutrition and fitness that they just give up. Master the calories in/calories out concept...then you can quickly pick up new and better concepts to maximize those calories for your health. It's a process. You can't go…

I would recommend cutting the portion sizes of the deliciousness. Bulk up on salads. Also, check out the Hungry Girl cookbook or website. A Resolution menu suggestion is a great idea! Hopefully the southern gal will take you up on it! Every cultural group has it's struggles. I live in Nebraska, and our "comfort" food is…

3 weeks is kind of a short time to judge a plateau. I frequently will maintain or fluctuate a few pounds for a few weeks, then after 4 weeks I'll drop like 5 lbs.

Never tried an aloe vera shake...but try this: http://www.aloe-vera-guide.com/Aloe-Vera-Recipes.html I also really like the Yoplait smoothies. You can use half the amount of the package if you are making it only for yourself.

Focus on your nutrition more than exercise! Pick a goal to accomplish--like a half marathon or some other event and pay attention to that rather than the number on the scale. YOU CAN DO IT!!! Keep going!

No kidding! Whether or not you drink cow's milk is a personal choice. If it makes YOU sick, that doesn't mean it makes other people sick. LEAVE IT!

Absolutely! When I ran mine, I averaged 10+ minute miles before my race. I ran it in 2:20 and averaged less than 10 minute miles. I would be optimistic about a time closer to 2 hours. You run faster in a race environment. Also...you obviously have time to train which means you will get faster. You will do great! Also, Hal…

yup!! ME TOO!! Great job on your success!! Way to go! :)

First of all... Races are a blast. Have fun!! For the race be sure to take some jelly beans or gu. I didn't use it before the race, but the day of, about half way I needed some energy. Sugar doesn't really affect me, but it sure did that day when I had none in my system. Don't plan anything for the rest of the day. You…
