When I went to Africa someone had a dog on the plane. I would assume a domestic flight would be better than an international one.

yay!!! Good for you!

Ok the Winston Churchill thing is funny... but the rest of your comments...you SHOULD have kept your mouth shut. Just. wow.

Well, I was going to post until I realized that I'm on the work computer...

It's been awhile since I swam in the mornings, but I would eat something light-like a banana or bar of some sort. After swimming I'm usually famished, so that's a great time for a nice breakfast!

I like a sando with provolone cheese, avocado and tomato. Sometimes I'lll add turkey and alfalfa sprouts.

I don't think you are drinking too much water, but he may be concerned that you aren't getting enough salt. You might try putting some salt in your water or increasing your intake of that. Sometimes too much water can flush out the salt in your body and that is a problem too.

Over at thegraciouspantry.com she has some great tips about cutting out sugar. It's a good idea to reduce sugar intake because sugar is a drug that is addictive. There are serious complications with consuming too much sugar. I have read that even cancer feeds off of sugar. I have a horrible sweet tooth and I find that the…

YES...but you probably aren't. Eating protein (or anything) in excess will cause your body to store it...as fat! Also, too much protein affects your kidneys and can be hard to process. If you are doing any lifting you should probably eat around .75-1 gram of protein/lb of body weight. I have my settings to 40 (carbs),…

Awesome!!!! :)

That crock pot recipe is the best. You can add in other mixed veggies and pinto beans too. We eat it probably 2-3 times a month. SO easy!!

I actually untie my shoe and tie my key into my shoe laces so it is right on top of my foot. No way to lose it. My phone I carry typically because I use it for music and time.

 :noway: I'll help: My friend went to the ER TWICE on this "diet." (I'm not sure why she didn't learn the first time.) And she is now pissed because she has metabolic damage and can't lose the last 20 lbs of fat she's been hanging on to forever.

I am the race director for two local 5Ks. We do both of them for a charity cause- One is a Glow in the Dark race in October that raises money for a local family adopting. The cost last year was $20/person or 3 for $45. We stressed it as a family event. Afterward we had a fun after party at the amphitheater at the park and…

I think when you continue going to the gym when all those other newbs drop out. So... like March/April. ;)

I am following a plan that is for muscle building and fat loss. I do 4-5 circuits a week which includes lifting and some plyos. Then I do either HIIT or a tough cardio of my choice. My ratios are 40% carbs/35% protein/25% fat. The way we formulate calories is weightX10+300 and then an additional 400 calories on workout…

I'm 5'9" and have accepted the fact that 145 is an impossibility for me. It is in the healthy range, but after having my body fat tested, I realized to get to 145 would require a loss of lean body tissue. Dump the scale. You are WELL within a healthy range. Take pictures and measurements as that shows a truly accurate…

Actually you can log strength training as cardio for calories burned. There is an option. :) Also, I do a circuit strength workout that includes some plyos in between strength moves. I log it as circuit training. For me personally 20 minutes is about 220 calories. I realize that MFP estimates higher calorie burns, but 1. I…

I'm pretty sure the nutrition content of a Gala apple-medium doesn't change. Why are there 20 entries for it?

Interesting. I hate bigger seats and find gel seats annoying. I find, the smaller the better.

This! I definitely figure that I underestimate my food (I don't weigh my portion sizes--good grief I have SO MANY other things to do!) and I overestimate my calorie burn. (Even if I had a HRM it isn't 100% accurate!) So, to be on the safe side, I leave some of my exercise calories. If I'm hungry that day, I might leave…

yay!! Good news!

I'm ditching sugar currently. Someone suggested to me to make hot chocolate with just milk and unsweetened cocoa. The cocoa had no sugar and very little calories. It was pretty strong so it nixed the craving.

So... I broke up with my boyfriend over the weekend and yesterday his ex girl friend (before me) posted on his fb wall "How does it feel to finally be free?" OHHHHHHH it pissed me off. He has the tact to not say anything, but she is an immature b!tch!!!! However... I don't understand why he was talking to HER about US. I…

Have you discovered coconut oil? It gives me a good excuse to fry my fish. I use it about everyday and I think it tastes a ton better. Otherwise I use olive oil. You can even use coconut oil in place of butter. :) E for spelling

I just put it in the recipe as the oil I put in before cooking. Use as little as possible. Too messy to weigh after...

Having jacked my knee and hip up yesterday in spin class (due to my cleats not being properly fitted) I'd suggest skipping. I'd hate to be looking at running 26 miles in a few days with this fun little pinch in my knee.

yes, thank you...

I can't access forums on my iPhone app. How do you do that?
