Hi all thanks for the replies and definitely some further experimenting needed I think to find the right balance. I was planning on rowing on the days I don't lift and yes steady state not hiit so I can concentrate on form. Might have to get myself down the gym then

Thanks for your replies, very helpful. Will perhaps just adjust my diet slightly and alter the little carbs that I do eat (wholemeal rice instead of plain etc), just wanted to check it was o.k to go over on my fat and protein intake as there are so many conflicting reports. Onward and upwards as they say :) Thanks
