The only reason I would say no is because it's crappy McDonalds ice cream. I'd much prefer to save some extra calories and have the good stuff :) But if you like it and you got the calories spare..... sure.... go for it.

Another runtastic fan here. I also use it for logging swimming and my strength workouts. For that side it's pretty basic and I use the online "add workout" tools but it still gives a good overall view of your activity levels for the month.

Yep, anything really that puts resistance and makes you work your muscles. You could use dumbells or resistant bands, it's quite amazing how much you can get your heart rate up just from seated exercises :)

Well I don't work two jobs, but I have one job that I work for 40 hours a week, spend approx 8 hours a week on the road to and from said job, look after my home and family, but I still find time to cook a decent meal most nights (and work out). Don't get me wrong, some times I absolutely cannot be bothered and there are…

I was also going to suggest swimming. I had laser eye surgery eventually but totally understand the not being able to see anything without your glasses, so annoying! Also, it might sound daft but have you tried looking at sit down exercises that are designed for people who have mobility problems? They do a lot of upper…

I think they can be, but as long as you are willing to put in a bit of effort then eating healthy is no more expensive than eating rubbish. If for example I wanted to feed my family of 5 a microwave meal each, although they are only a quid each it would work out at a fiver. For that same fiver I can pick up a pack of quorn…

Cardio burns a ton of calories and is great for the heart, lungs etc. But people lose weight without ever doing any cardio past their normal daily activities. Women on here have lost weight and got super red hot bodies with purely weight lifting routines. Keep some cardio in your routine as like I said above, it is awesome…

Yeah I would also go with the peanut butter or cheese, pretty calorie dense for a small amount. Although if it's just one day, low calories won't do much harn. Hope things get easier for you soon x

Ah yeah.... forgot about the pesky unspecified toxins.......

I'm no expert, but aren't human bodies pretty efficient at the clensing bit anyway???

Yeah I would be reporting that clinic, sounds very dodgy!! Its hard when loved ones do these kind of things, my sister is starting the Cambridge diet (less than 500 cals a day). I tried to gently talk her around, offered to go to the gym with her, baby sit her kids so she can cook up batches of healthy foods.... but no....…

Bwwwwhhahahahahaha!

Hell yeah! Plus its Yorkshire day today!

Damn it..... 2 cans a day.... no wonder I am fat!

For me to feel good doing Keto I need to have my carbs around 25g. But that is just me personally. I find it hard to control myself with carbs, I just want more and more! Even just fruit and veggies. Which is why I enjoy keto as after a while the cravings go away. But I just can't sustain that kind of diet for too long so…

Come away with me!! lol. I'm a Leeds lass, born and bred :)

Yep this. A food scale made a HUGE difference to me, I was really underestimating portion size. If you enjoy your treats try just logging what you eat now and so you can see what calories things have. As long as you are in a deficit you lose weight. You can then gradually make healthier choices. There is nothing to say you…

I generally eat between 1500 - 1800 but have lots of friends eating around 1200, whatever gets you to where you wanna be is ok in my book! Feel free to add.

I have on average 1-2 cans of diet pop a day. Usually one at lunch and one after my evening meal. Works fine for me. Only thing I do is drink it out of a straw because I have thin enamel on my teeth and the citric acid can make it worse.

Thanks everyone. Legs are starting to feel almost back to normal lol.

Your wife is right, you should be proud! It's a fantastic achievement, you have worked hard and it's really showing. Well done!

Thanks for your replies. I do sometimes work out on a morning before work but haven't this week as I did a charity trek that I'm not yet recovered from lol. While I wait for an appointment (they are rubbish at giving you an appointment at my doctors!) I'll make sure I am hitting a minimum of BMR each day and try and have a…

You look AMAZING!! Well done x

My calories have been on the light side the last couple of days but this seems to be something that's with me even when they aren't. But I'll still make sure I am hitting at least BMR each day until I get an appointment.

Thanks everyone, think a visit to the docs is in order then. I drink more on a morning than even the rest of the day. Between 5 and 10am I must have drunk a litre of water and 2 cups of tea so don't think it's dehydration. Will call up for an appointment. Guess it's best to get checked and err on the side of caution.…

Awesome results! Well done, glad that it is working great for you.

When my sister was having problems with her fertility the first thing her doctor told her to do was gain weight. I am not sure on what her weight was but she is around 5ft 5inch and her BMI was 18. Turned out her fertility problems were not caused by anything to do with weight but it was the first recommendation for her to…

I switch between the two from time to time (but eat less than TDEE on both). I do seem to lose a little more on low carb even if eating the same amount of calories as on a low fat diet and don't feel anywhere near as hungry. But I find low carb a little too restrictive for me so like to swtich it up a bit.

Thank you all so much :) The aches and pains are easing away now a little. Just going up and down steps still hurts but sitting and walking are fine lol.

Thanks everyone! Hubby has picked up some Epsom Salts today for me so I'll be having a nice soak in the bath tonight lol.
