  • Good job! It isn't easy, but little steps everyday really add up. I had a very good day. I did both my workouts, got all my protein and fiber, and drank all my water. Feeling good!
  • I did not care for the cardio in BR. Not one bit! So I substituted other types of cardio and still had great success. It was usually Zuzka Light, Blogilates, or XHIT from youtube, but I think any cardio substitute would be fine.
  • Youtube! I really love Blogilates, LiveStrongWoman (which can also introduce you to a lot of other gurus who have channels), XHIT, FitnessBlender, BeFit, Zuzka Light, and Tone It Up are good channels to look at. They have full body or specific area strength workouts and it should give you some ideas on what to do. And…
  • Food: I'm attempting to eat about 60-70% fruit and vegetables. I'm not going to be super strict about that percentage, but around that will do. It'll be tough to fit in my protein (I have a pretty high goal), but I'm determined to do it! Pre-portioned smoothie fixings in the freezer, jar salads in the fridge, and cut up…
  • Hello everyone! I'm looking to lose 20 lbs to get down from 150 to 130. I was down to 145 lbs 2 weeks ago, but I put some weight back on. Groups definitely made me more accountable in the past, so I know this is going to help keep me on track. Good luck to everyone!
  • I try to include lots of fresh fruits and veggies. So my way of doing that is to try to make half of meals veggies. Once I started doing that, I didn't go over my sodium even if I had a soda every now and then. When I gave up soda (unless it's a special treat) my I stopped tracking it completely because I never went over.…
  • My dad and grandma told me the same thing when I asked that question!
  • Check out both of these videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-4A_Ki7us8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYA_tmos1-4 I really feel these exercises (especially the inner thigh lift and fire hydrants), and sometimes I'll wear ankle weights to feel it even more. She doesn't include a warm up or a stretch routine, so don't…
  • I lost some weight before joining, and have lost a lot of inches even when the pounds didn't go anywhere. I started to have some loose skin on my arms, I noticed a bit around the sides of my boobs, and a little bit on the side of my tummy. This was also where I held a lot of my fat and where I had stretch marks (although…
  • I'm not starting officially until Tuesday, but I'm present! I'm doing a combo of Chalean, Brazil Butt Lift, and Turbo Fire. I have done part of it before though. I don't get to do Burn Intervals since I'm doing Turbo Fire, but I remember really loving Burn 3 and not liking Push 2, so we'll see if I still feel the same way!
  • I wish I could be more helpful, but unfortunately, the same thing started happening to me when I started counting. That's another reason I keep mine so short. But there are a few other things that I know contribute to my brittle nails. One is the cleaning products I use. I never used to wear gloves. Now I always do.…

  • Great job! Those milestones are very important to stop and celebrate when they happen. Keep it up! :flowerforyou:
  • Excellent! Look at those obliques! Very big change very quickly. Congrats! Also, not so much weight related, but I really like your hair. And the tattoo addition is awesome as well! It really shows off how rounded your shoulders are. Great work!
  • Roasted Chicken Melt some butter and add a bit of salt, pepper, dried rosemary, thyme, and the juice and zest of a lemon. Add a little bit of extra seasoning in the leftover lemon halves. Rub the butter on and underneath a cleaned and dried whole chicken, then throw the leftover lemon halves into the cavity of the bird.…
  • First thing in the mornings around 7 or 8 am, and after dinner at around 6 or 7 pm. Gives me a good excuse to take 2 showers! I like doing cardio based workouts in the mornings and strength routines at night. My workouts are only 15-45 minutes (rarely do they go over 30 min) so it's easier to fit in than someone who does…
  • 1/4 cup Flax Meal 1 Egg 1 tbsp Butter Pinch of Salt Pinch of Cinnamon 1/2 tsp Baking Powder Mix together together in a mug and cook in the microwave for 1 minute. It pops right out and it's super easy. If you're really in a hurry, you can make a large batch of the dry ingredients and so all you have to add to 1/4 cup of…
  • Sure! I love homemade stuff. Saves me some money but I still get to indulge! I make the powder because it's a great way to get BHA and AHA exfoliation. Aspirin is basically a form of salicylic acid (BHA) and papain is a powdered papaya enzyme (AHA). So using them together gives the benefit of the deep pore clearing of a…
  • I was also a fan of the high fiber Wheaties! I preferred the frosted ones since they were sweeter. I think it was because my dad ate them and I liked to copy him. Cocoa Krispies is a close second though!
  • 6 to 8 depending on when I go to bed. I live in the tropics and air conditioning is expensive. So I like to get up a little earlier when it's still cool out to workout.
  • I epilate my legs and arms and sugar my underarms and bikini area. I got ingrowns with the previous epilator (Braun) but not with the new one (Pansonic). It's a wet/dry, so I can use it in the bathtub. That lessens the pain. I also used to get ingrowns with waxing, but sugaring is much better. I bleed a lot less in…
  • Hit and miss in my opinion. I think a lot of it is based off of great marketing and leaning on the brand name rather than the quality of the products themselves. I use the Face and Body Foundation (a mix of C1 and White) because they're one of the few brands that I can get a pale enough shade in. I prefer custom mixing two…
  • I agree that it's all about how you take your coffee. I like mine black, but if you're looking for a sweeter version I do have an alternative idea. I don't know what your goals are, but this is also good if you're having trouble getting all your protein. Take a cup of black coffee, a cup of almond milk, and a scoop of…
  • I love this easy version of paella: http://foodwishes.blogspot.com/2013/08/sausage-shrimp-paella-before-you-run.html It's not as complex or expensive as the traditional paella, but it's still impresses your friends and is super delicious. I have a lot of recipes that I use in a kind of rotation depending on the season and…
  • I prefer almond milk or coconut water over juices since it's easier to fit into my daily goals. Usually almond milk because I love the texture that it gives. But I do like a little bit of lemon juice. I usually freeze individual portions of 1/4 of a banana, 1/4 cup of berries, 1 cup of Kale, and a squeeze of lemon juice.…
  • One more thing to add to the sewing. Don't forget about youtube or even goggling how to tailor certain articles of clothing. There are so many tutorials on how to do this that it makes taking things in and adjusting them very easy. I've even learned how to take in my old jeans and turn them into skinny and straight legs.…
  • I only did 2 classes (went with a friend) but man it was hard work. My obliques and shoulders were on fire! They should have beginner classes if you're just starting out. Usually you don't do anything involving lifting yourself off the floor until at least intermediate level classes. Usually you'll learn how to swing…
  • For me, it's all about the alarm. I put my phone (which is my alarm) across the room so that I have to get up to turn it off. And in order to turn it off, I have to do 3 math problems in order to dismiss it. That wakes my brain up (a little) and gets me on my feet. After that it's downing some coffee that I always set to…
  • I know this is a little late, but I'll throw it in anyways for the future. Activated charcoal is what works best for me. I always keep it in case I get glutened, if my husbands gets unbearable gas, and I also use it as a teeth whitening treatment. But it works very fast. After that, I do the same as others have said and…
  • I only have a few patches, but I agree that certain foods set it off. I switched to Almond Milk, which has helped a ton. I'm not a true clean eater, but I did go gluten free after finding out I shouldn't have it (), and that seems to have helped a lot. As far as skincare products, I'm also extremely sensitive. I try…
