Very inspirational. I am restarting after a several month hiatus. It sure feels good to be in control again.

Interesting! I'll read the book.

I'll be trying this soon. Thanks!

When they ask, and they do ask, I say diet, exercise, portion control. But no matter what, your head has to be in the right place. Otherwise failure is sure. It certainly wasn't the first try for me.

You are truly an inspiration!

Can't wait to try this recipe. Thanks.

This is a delicious low calorie soup that tastes rich and hearty. It does not need long simmering. I often skip the cheese. Chicken Italian Sausage Soup I lb Italian sausage, sliced (I used Isernio’s chicken Italian sausage 1 lb bulk) 1 onion, chopped 2 cloves minced garlic 1 tsp olive oil 2 cans low sodium chicken broth 1…

I am 68 and since January of 2010 I lost 65 pounds. Now, I can't lie, I have gained a few back, but I am determined to get them off. My current loss total is 56 pounds. I did it using this site and another one like it (I like this one better), but basically it is portion control and getting off the couch. I can't begin to…

When I started my weight loss I didn't tell anyone, not even my husband. Only my sister and I shared and that was mostly by e-mail and not often. I had failed so many times that I didn't want to announce it to anyone. After about 20 pounds I made a few hints, but got sot of a hohum response. After 40 pounds people suddenly…

I get my exercise by swimming and very vigorus water aerobics. At 68 after 65 lb weight loss I am 20 pounds from goal and stalled. I have an appointment coming up with a personal trainer at my gym. What should I work on?

Ok! This looks so good. I would never bake a cake to have around, but 1 serving sounds great. Thanks for the post.

This is my current favorite: It makes enough for 6 breakfasts. I got this recipe from mfp.com. Apple Pie Breakfast (Serves 6) Ingredients: 1 cup steel cut oats* (must be steel cut, regular oats are far too mushy) 3 diced apples (I like gala the best for this recipe, but any kind will work) 1 cup of apple juice (I usually…

Try this: You don't have to saute the vegetables, you can just throw it in a pot and cook until everything is tender. It gets me through. You can add mushrooms or other vegetables you love that are low in calories. Make a big pot and eat it all week whenever you want. Garden Vegetable Soup 1 large uncooked onion(s)…

The first 50 pounds came off pretty fast. About 8 to 10 months. The next 10 -15 took a year! I am partly to blame. I got comfortable and didn't work as hard at it.

What a marvelous change you have made in yourself. Inspiring! Thank you for posting.
