  • The pictures tell the story. But this story will have a happy ending. Hang on to your resolve.
  • That is a big difference!
  • I was stuck for three months. Even though I was eating right and exercising I even gained four pounds. Last week I had to be on a clear liquid diet for a day and that turned the corner for me. The four pounds are gone plus two more. I drank apple juice and Gatorade, lots of water. If I get stuck on a plateau again I will…
  • I am here to tell you that losing weight has changed my life. Not just that I look better either. Flexibility and knee and hip pain were issues that kept me on the couch. After I lost about 35 pounds I felt like exercising. By adding workouts I was able to eat a little more. Using MFP has been an enormous help. Now I swim…
  • Is 60 something allowed? I've been looking for some more mature mfps.
  • Yes, don't give up. I was on a plateau for over two months. The logjam finally broke. I'm glad I stuck with it. I just kept on exercising and eating 1200 calories per day and more on exercise days.
  • Thanks for the reminder to be grateful for the many blessings I enjoy.
  • I usually eat a banana or a Lite and Fit yogurt before I exercise and after I eat an orange and a hard boiled egg. On days I don't exercise I might have oatmeal (ever tried it with a little shoyu on it?) or peanut butter on toast with fruit. Most days I eat the same lunch: One piece of bread with 2 ounces of sliced ham, or…
  • I'll try this recipe. Thanks for sharing.
  • Try Silken Lite Tofu. It is low in calories, high in protein. Use it in place of yogurt with fruit and a little honey.
  • Use it instead of yogurt for a smoothie. Crumble it into soup. Add it to a vinegrette for a creamy salad dressing. Add it to stir fried vegetables and pasta. It takes on the flavor of whatever you cook it with. It has no flavor of it's own.
  • I haven't seen any mention of dried beans and peas and lentils. You can buy a pound of any for $1.00 at a dollar store or Walmart. It will feed you for several days. Cook according to directions and add dried onion, herb seasonings or southwest seasonings and any vegetables you have, carrots, celery, potatoes, squash. They…
  • Oroweat Nutty Grain has 5 gr of fiber and it tastes good. My favorite is the bread I make myself. It is 45 calories per ounce and whole grain, but does not have added fiber (it could be added in the form of flax seed or meal, ect.). I would be happy to share the recipe. It takes 5 minutes to mix, 12 - 30 hours to rise, and…
  • For 140 calories you can have a hard boiled egg and an orange. A little protein, a little fat, a little sugar and a lot of fiber. A lot of bang for your buck. I keep a bowl of boiled eggs in the refrigerator for snacks. Hope this suggestion helps. Good luck.
  • Salmon is my least favorite fish. My husband loves it, fishes for it, and cooks it beautifully, so I eat it. Tonight we had the most amazing Cod Florentine supper. We try to eat fish often, but it is expensive. When I eat out (not often) I aways order seafood, especially shellfish (and not fried).
  • an orange and a Fiber One bar.
  • Thanks. E
  • Hard boiled eggs are low carb and if you are doing Atkins, you can add mayonnaise.
  • Here is one of my own composition: It’s four o’clock and I am famished Longing for a lovely sandwich Of meat and cheese and lettuce too, Not to mention chips, just a few. And how about a glass of milk? To wash it down like creamy silk. But wait, I had that for lunch. And from my points I’ve used a bunch. Not many left and…
  • My rescue is a hard boiled egg and an orange. A little protein, a little carb and a little fat. I keep a bowl of hb eggs in the refrigerator. It will get me through to the next meal for 150 calories.

  • Big difference! I lost over 40 pounds before anyone noticed. I didn't say anything to anybody because I have failed so many times. When my friends did finally notice I was a nine days wonder and still am at 60 pounds off. It just gets better and better. Good luck to you.

  • Exercise, exercise, exercise. It can help with the cravings, suppress your appitite, and allow you to eat more. Good luck!
  • I have lost 58 pounds in a year and I have lots of loose skin. Fact is I would rather have loose skin than fat. One can had loose skin with control garments. No way can one hide the fat.
