Only the pit keeps the guacamole fresh (don’t eat the pit). Whole Foods and Safeway are among the frozen avocado sellers.

Cinnamon, chiles (cayenne and others), ginger and tumeric, are all a "boost" to your metabolism. Now, I can't pinpoint exactly what boost: 0.05-15%, that's for you to judge.

That would be bronchitis -- or worse, pneumonia. Get to a doctor fast!

I was around "pre-diabetic". My A1C was 5.8 last year, only during a bout of pneumonia with septic shock in March-April my glucose shot up 9.0. I was taking steroids to get kidneys to function, and I explained it all to my doctor. Doctor: Diabetes! Diabetes! Me: I'm really not. Doctor: The patient is non-compliant. (I'm…

I lost about 20 lbs. in the first month. I lost 8 lbs in 2.5 months. No. If I had white rice, bread, and pasta with a meal, I can easily see my blood glucose shoot up. "Keto" is a funny word. I think if you have 12 keto-ists, you had 12 brands of ketoism. My brand is dairy, meat, veggies and fruit--with occasional low-carb…

My whole milk is Fairlife, and I do have bacon and sausage on occasion. My almond-flour and almond-milk pancakes with strawberries/raspberries fills me with such joy (my husband makes them for me once a week) that I'm making this my pancake recipe for the future. I learned a lot about hidden sugars (maltodextrin, dextrose,…

Tortilla and chocolate spread? I'll have what she's having! I'll have 25-35 carbs a day, and I have no problem with it. When I was going off Thanksgiving and going back on Monday -- I was having gastrointestinal issues. Maybe 1-2 days, tops. Since you're going to the doctor, ask if you can get your blood sugar checked.

I will have chicken, beef, or lamb, with some veggies like brussell sprouts, broccoli, and a salad. I'm make sure to 1 tsp. of cheese and some nuts (2-3 oz).

I lost my parents five years ago, and I just buried my oldest brother in May. My brother and his wife are joining us for the first time.

I’m 5’7.5” and 253 pounds and I wear 18W-20W. You must lift weights and row.

Greek lamb shanks with lemon and yogurt (with a little vegetables and cauliflower rice.)

Cheetos. I'll eat the whole bag. (9 oz -12 oz)

I have been on Celexa and Wellbutrin for years. Wellbutrin caused a mild form of seizures...,so I have been only on Celexa for the past two years. Zoloft, amitriptyline, Wellbutrin, and Celexa -- and a Lexapro thrown in. Lexapro gave me vivid dreams which I found disturbing. A psychiatrist diagnosed me bipolar II disorder…

I have been on MyFitPal since June 2013. I have been on this diet train since I was 10. You will never know what I know, and quite frankly, I'm sure you don't want to know it. I'm sure you want to give the OP a long missive.

No, it's not keto. It's back to 1970s' Atkins plan. It is constipation-heavy and lacks essential nutrients.
-
The last time I checked, it was -3 pounds. I have lost 24. After your prepared your meal for next few weeks, prepare to make bread, tortillas, and "tortilla" chips (Quest). Guacamole and chips! It's egg, Canadian bacon, cheese sandwich! All require vegetables: greens, zucchini, brussel sprouts, mushrooms, etc. Good luck!

I'm on keto for about eight weeks now.

Hydration is directly relevant to weight loss. I was working out 4-5 times a week (those pre-stroke times) and I had gained 8 pounds. I hadn't over 1,600 calories in two weeks. Your CICO mantra is going down in flames. a) Your body responds to the micro-tears and inflammation in two ways that cause temporary water weight…

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! And get to walking! Eat a few of fibrous vegetables every day.
-
The SIL and BIL will have it and it's going to be five miles away. MIL and her husband are bringing the dessert. I'm bringing the turkey (lots of butter!) and cranberry sauce. My husband makes a mean sourdough-sausage stuffing I will be walking the local Turkey Trot!

My husband and I are doing keto. That's what my relapse is for.
-
Stay hydrated!

I relapsed on Halloween. I did it one day. Medium pepperoni pizza (I only ate two slices because it was mostly saucy -- Eeuw) and I overdid it on candy. Reese's (milk chocolate and white chocolate), Snickers and KitKats! I gave away my candy to college students that I teach, and my husband to the office. I didn't gain…

First of all, all processed food have a ton of salt. "No Added Salt" is relatively new concept.

Start with the nutritionist told me. You have a plate of food. You have a fist of protein, a fist of carbs, and a whole hand of greens (vegetables.)

Do not try marijuana. It works as a depressant (and it's making you eat more.)
-
Talk to your doctor/psychologist/psychiatrist --- though I may mean mental health counselor. Talk therapy and medication work well together. The exercise is very good also. There's walking, swimming, or hiking 20 minute a day. First take the depression out of equation, then can you step into the weight loss. I used to…

I use in psyllium husk in “Keto” cooking.

We live in a high-trafficked area (allergies to chocolate/peanuts/sugar, autism, and special needs children). I have full-sized candy bars and sugar skulls tattoos. Oh, I hope the cats haven't took down the orange and purples lights! :#

I lived this with Atkins diet (around 1989 and 1990,) and there's a definite need for fat. It drove me from it.
