Today was a recovery day for me, so no exercise. Let these weary bones rest a day. If I write in the past tense, it's because I'm in China which makes me a day ahead of most of you. Anyway, after a good night's rest, I'm ready to hit it again. HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!!!

Who would pass up that "GRAB?"

WELCOME EVERYONE! Looks like we all have something inspiring us to achieve our goal. Just a couple of thoughts I'd like to share to help me stay on track. As stupid as they might sound, they seem to work for me. * "Perfect practice makes perfect." When exercising, aim for perfect form rather than quantity. * "Always strive…

Thank you for your kind welcome Kelseyann, and welcome to everyone else who has committed to achieving their goals. WE CAN AND WILL DO IT!!!! Rick

Please call me, Rick Great group and perfect timing for me... for once. i'm retired from California to China. I'm a writer and exam prep teacher for students studying abroad. Last year (June 2013), I decided to get back in shape for my 55th B-day. I met my goal of losing 25 lbs in 8 weeks 209 to 185. I then began…

Hello all, I just joined this group even though I'm on day 21 of Insanity. This is my second round. The first round was last year but hurt my shoulder weightlifting. I gained 15 since then (up to 200 lbs.). My goals have changed this time. Feel free to add me as a friend for inspiration and motivation. Starting weight: 202…

Day off today, but will do a lot of walking around today.

Welcome Vanessa! You've got the right attitude for Insanity, just go at your own pace. As far as your love of Cola goes, I suggest keeping a bottle of water with you at ALL TIMES, and drink it often. This will slowly, if not rapidly wean you off your urge of Cola. Good luck to you and remember, KEEP PUSHING PLAY!!!
-
That is GREAT!!! I'm so happy for you, that's a major milestone in itself. Just goes to show you, your goals ARE achieveable. Great work!!!

It's better to add me than pounds! ;-)

Welcome Jenross! We're all pretty much on different days, but it doesn't matter. If you miss a workout or two, don't skip them. Just pick up where you left off. Good luck and welcome once again.
-
You'll see those results in ways you never imagined, lol. Keep pressing play!!!
-
Drink lots of water before a meal and throughout the day to help fill you up.

Part of taking full advantage of MFP is to make your Food Diary public so others may comment on it. As far as protein goes, Whey protein is a good supplement for vegans.

Completed Pure Cardio & Ab Ripper X. I can't do Cardio Abs due to a tailbone injury last year, so I substitute Ab Ripper X. Pure Cardio is my favorite workout. I can see and feel a transformation taking place, particularly in my abdomen and oblique areas. YAHOO.
-
Welcome Fab and everyone!! I can't wait to hear your success stories. Hang in there, and NEVER give up!!
-
Thanks for the B-Day wishes. Turning 56 sucks, but I'll be in better shape than most of those "younger" guys, God willing. Completed Cardio Power & Resistance today (Day 8). The fat tears dripped like a waterfall. Seems a few of us are on the same exercise cycle. Great job on getting around the obstacles that try and…

Rashidat... It's not a bad thing. You can only go as far as your body can allow you. Just keep doing what you're doing and you'll eventually surprise yourself. When I was younger, I could do 150 at one time. When I did my fit test last year, I couldn't do one push up, so I did the "girly" ones. Now I can do over 50…
-
Cute pix, I don't see any of them having a weight problem. Which one is you? LOL
-
You did great! My first time, I couldn't even do 1 pushup. By the end of the program, I could do over 50! Keep up the great work!
-
Insanity is all about pacing. You MUST pace yourself and complete the circuits at your own comfort zone. Take breaks, rest in between, but make sure you SWEAT! Remember, sweat is fat tears melting off you. DON'T hurt yourself by going all out, especially if you've had bad knees in the past. GOOD LUCK ALL!!!
-
Great idea! Posting them might be embarrassing (it was for me), but it makes you accountable and motivated to work as hard as it takes to get to where you wanna be.
-
Day off today, but it's my B-Day... That cheese cake is looking awfully good... all in moderation, LOL

Great group for MFP, thank you for offering it. I started my second round of Insanity after gaining 20lbs from a weightlifting injury. I'm 5 days into it now, and have lost 3 lbs already. If anyone needs advice or opinions how to proceed and succeed, let me know. I'm not a professional at it, but might have some helpful…
