Also, IF you go to a running store and get fitted again, buy that pair of shoes AT YOUR RUNNING STORE. They did you a solid; return the favor. :) Then order future pairs online. I like Running Warehouse, personally, or 6pm for last year's models cheap. [/quote] Agree with this, I don't think you save enough money to make…

100-120 ounces usually, sometimes more.

I think it is these that are weird too, if you buy a jar of peanut butter, a serving size is 2 Tablespoons, but these individual packages are more than a serving, but at least the quote the calories for the entire package. There is no way I could only eat part of that after opening it.

I was looking at different ice cream bars the other day, Figuring it was better portion control for me than buying a pint or half gallon of ice cream....The ice cream bar was 2 servings, how do you eat half an ice cream bar?

I drink crazy amounts of water when I am out with friends and trying to keep the alcohol consumption down. It is crazy

I was going to say the same thing.

Women's sizes are awful for that. They are all over the place, I have three sizes of pants in my closet that all fit at the same time. Its crazy

This! I am happy to say I found this in my trainer.

I had a total hip replacement. If I had been a runner prior to the surgery, he may have had a different tune. I have never enjoyed running. Of course the instant he told me I should never run, I had this feeling that I wanted to run. I do run/walk and I start the C25K, but never finish it. I figure the intervals of my…

I had hip surgery and I am not supposed to run and I get bored walking by myself unless it is perfect weather and the treadmill works for a short cardio session after my resistance training.

I don't do the machines for extended periods of time....that is why I do the HIIT and classes instead :) I went to a class at 9 Rounds just last week. It was a good class and got my heart rate up pretty good. I just can't justify another gym membership right now and it was not convenient. A friend asked me to go with her…

I started at 39 :) and love every minute of it.

I love going to the gym, when I would try to get a workout routine started at home, I would always fail. The TV and the couch always seemed to win. I also don't have any room to dedicate to workout space. It also motivates me when I see someone else working out really hard at the gym. After over five years of having a gym…

Totally agree, I have to force myself to do cardio. I have found that HIIT and some classes make it better, but the dreadmill, the elliptical or stationary bike are awful to me.
-
I agree with this. My trainer and I have been setting and planning ways to reach new goals constantly. My goals have changed a lot and we have set many new goals.
-
I have a similar problem, I do good all week and then the weekend comes and I eat and drink too many calories and not healthy calories. I don't want to take myself out of social situations, that would not be a sustainable situation, so I have to work on moderation and making better food choices when I am out with friends.…

A lot of the complaints on this make me laugh, while also making me really appreciate my gym.

I would really like mine to be smaller and when I hit my goal weight, I will do surgery. They just get in the way right now.

6-7 days a week (1 or 2 being walking of I do 7) Currently I have 2 heavy lifting days, 1 just cardio, the other 3-4 are some lifting and HIIT.
-
This did not happen for me. I went from a 44G to a 34G. I would love for them to get smaller, instead, it just got harder to find my bra size.

Goodwill got a lot of donations from me for a while...size 22-24 to a size 8-10. Got rid of everything that was too big as soon as it was too big.

Like others said, I personally thought my smaller goals helped me with the instant gratification. I had over 100 pounds to lose. My first goal was 25 pounds. It seemed a lot more attainable and not so far away. I rewarded myself with non food items when I hit that. I did that for the first 75 pounds then it went to every…

I totally agree, I have spend a ton of money and it was all worth it. New clothes throughout, gym membership, personal trainer, workout classes, more new clothes, my love of workout attire has me buying more of that all the time, jewelry had to be re-sized, race fees. I could go on and on and I wouldn't trade any of it to…

I feel fit compared to most of my friends and people at work, but not compared to lots of people. I get more fit everyday though.

I knew I was losing weight when shaving my legs and painting my toenails got easier

For some reason when I am on the treadmill, I think of what I will have for dinner. HIIT workouts I keep telling myself I am 50% done or whatever or tell myself I can make it 2 more rounds, all while cussing my trainer out in my head for coming up with the awful workout. If I am swimming, I think of absolutely nothing most…

I had someone come up to me at a party and introduce themselves to me, I had know him for about 8 years, although didn't see him regularly. We both knew almost everyone there, so it was kind of awkward and funny at the same time. I have also seen heard the "wow" comment, it's nice!

The way my dog greats me when I get home no matter how long I have been gone. He runs at me full force and jumps, almost knocking me over even though he is only 23 pounds. Baking and giving the finished product to someone who appreciates it Hugs from my niece and nephew

I have one diet soda a day. It took me a while to find a diet soda I likes (Coke Zero or Diet Dr Pepper). If the soda made me not get enough water, I would worry more, but I still get 80-100oz of water a day after the soda.

I was thinking the same thing. When did jumping rope become intimidating....or is there a different reason for that one?
