  • I have a similar problem, but not quite the same. I eat really healthy for breakfast, lunch and dinner, but the time between breakfast and lunch is awful. I could eat the entire time. I have tried eating more for breakfast, but that doesn't seem to help. I still want to snack until lunch. Then I eat lunch, I am good until…
  • I lost 100 pounds, I made clothes work as long as I could for the most part. I usually ended up buying about every other size on the way down. I would buy a couple pairs of pants and wear them a lot, I did not have a lot of variety in my closet as I was losing weight. I bought inexpensive clothes knowing I wouldn't be…
  • I went on a cruise and there are tons of options. I tired to eat within reason, but I did enjoy myself and eat the desserts, higher calorie items and drank alcohol. I also stayed active, walking a lot and I took advantage of the gym most mornings. I ended up gaining 1.5 pounds during the week, which came off within a…
  • Mine is to break 1:30 in the sprint triathlon that I do each year. Unfortunately I can't participate in it this year due to a wedding. The ever elusive pull up is my other. Just one unassisted pull up. If I would lose more weight maybe I could get there easier. I am always looking for new ones to add, the NSV seem to keep…
  • I had a lot more weight to lose than you, but I lost 50 pounds in around 4 months at the beginning of my weight loss. I lost the 2nd 50 pounds in about 5 months. I worked out a LOT and watched my calorie intake a lot better than I do right now. It did get a lot harder after that though and still is!
  • I wouldn't take it as rude at all, but we all have different personalities and react to things differently. It would probably also depend on who said it and how it was said.
  • I was almost there at one point (6 pounds away, after losing 134 pounds) and then loosened up on the diet and now I need to lose 30 pounds. I agree that it gets so much more difficult as you get closer. Luckily I have stayed with the exercise or it could be worse. The diet gets so much more important at this point.
  • Most of the time mine is dinner, post workout and it ends up being kind of late. The late doesn't bother me with anything and it keeps me from wanting a snack before bed. Occasionally I will go out to lunch though, then I will keep my dinner smaller.
  • Along with many, my problem is alcohol and eating out more.
  • First converstion with my trainer about diet: Me: "I am not giving up beer?" Trainer "You don't have to unless it becomes a problem" Me "OK" we discuss a couple of other things Trainer "How much beer are we talking about? Do you drink a 12 pack a night or something?" Me "No, mostly just on weekends" Trainer "OK good, I…
  • I live in St. Louis also, He was not right in what he did, but I agree that the news really didn't have to cover this so much. They made a bad situation worse. This person may have never known what happened had the news not posted it all over the place. It may not be great publicity for the trainer, but it is still…
  • I have them same problem, I have found that Curvy fit styles fit better for me. Right now my favorite are INC brand at Macy's. I will only buy them on sale though. Not only are my thighs bigger, I am tall and they have longs. Word of advice on them though, buy them tight...they stretch out.
  • They should have that all worked out before offering the service.
  • I am sorry you had a hard time dealing with them. I joined the VIP membership thing and order occasionally, but skip a lot of months. I agree that the bras are useless if you actually have boobs, I don't buy any of those, but I do love some of the shirts and leggings I have gotten from them. I have only had to return one…
  • I've been at this for over 5 years and still feel guilty when I don't workout for a couple days in a row and I am always terrified that I won't go back. I had hip surgery several years ago and could not work out for 6 weeks. I was not afraid to have the surgery, I was more afraid that I would never go back to working out.
  • Even without the gym membership and the personal trainer, it ended up being more expensive than I planned...buying new bras and underwear along got expensive. Bras was a double whammy since I had to buy regular bras and sports bras with the new found love of fitness.
  • I think so, and 80 Calorie tortilla, grilled chicken breast, sliced onion, spinach and mustard with a side of sliced strawberries.
  • Totally agree with this. Luckily my close friends understood when I would skip happy hour and go to the gym instead, or in the beginning, I skipped going to happy hour just so I wasn't tempted to go overboard. It was the other friends who told me skipping a workout wouldn't make a difference, that I needed to go out and…
  • Agree with the weighted hip thrusts!
  • I agree with you on this. Also,my best friends are also very helpful when I finally talked to them about what was going on with me. Now when I tell them I am in a "funk", they understand when I pull away and they do what they can to help me from going to a darker place. I don't let it go and get even worse like a did…
  • It's tough because exercise can help with the depression, but motivating yourself to exercise seems almost impossible when you are depressed. Schedule your exercise time, just like you would a meeting for work. Sometimes that makes it harder to skip. Find someone to meet you and walk with your or workout with. I also find…
  • Agree with this, when I started losing weight 6 years ago I worked with a trainer. I was upset with myself for having pizza fairly early on, his response was "Is it realistic that you will never eat pizza again? No, so learn how to incorporated it into your diet now while still losing weight"

  • My pool has every age in the morning, when I said younger, I meant there were younger people than there are in the water aerobics classs :) I am usually right in the middle of the ages at 44...I think, we don't talk a whole lot at the pool at 5:30am.
  • I agree with this on the classes, that looks about right for where I go. However the people swimming laps are a younger/mixed group :)
  • I swim once or twice a week, the time to shower and get ready isn't really an issue for me, I would have to do that after any exercise I do (I sweat a lot, so far the only exercise I don't sweat while doing is Bar Method). I was lucky and found a pool that has 6 lanes dedicated to lap swimming every morning if I go before…
  • I won't give it up completely, I love cheese and yoghurt is a go to when I am hungry and don't have a lot of calories left for the day. I was eating a lot more, I had yoghurt in smoothies and plain...so lots of it.
  • I had it happen once, I assumed it was dehydration. I hadn't had much water before the long walk/run and forgot to bring water with me and it was hot out.
  • Mine didn't get better just with the weight loss, but for some reason, I cut back on dairy...accidentally, I just got sick of yogurt and that was the main sours of dairy. My skin cleared up. Now that I track what I eat, I can see that I break out more when there has been more dairy in my diet
  • I went to a running store and had them fit me. I already have problems with my feet, this helped me a lot. I did pay more, but for me it was worth it.
  • Agree with pushing through the heels, can't say I have ever felt it in my calves.
