Facebook might not be the right place to disclose the plans....everyone who sells anything will contact you too. Advocare, It Works!, etc. I don't think I put anything on Facebook until I was down 50 pounds....I was excited and shared that with everyone!

Weekends have been overly crazy lately and I haven't been tracking or really watching what I eat. I have been going way overboard. This weekend doesn't have any solid plans, so I am trying to stay on track and eat at home instead of going out and skip the beers. I will work out, that is never a question. I enjoy the…

This time around, I was way more open with my close friends and family when I started losing weight. They were all extremely supportive. My two best friends cheered me on so much that it helped a ton. I think they had more faith in my getting the weight off than I did  I did not tell everyone, but eventually they…

Pets are such loyal family members, it is so hard to let go. They love so unconditionally. A friend of mine lost her dog a few months ago, I went home and snuggled mine a little more. I have no idea how I will deal with the inevitable day that I lose my baby. He is 9 right now and acts like a puppy most days. hugs to you.

I go to Anytime Fitness for $20 a month, it is 24/7. I also have a membership at a gym that is not as convenient, but they have a pool. I pay $30 a month there. I was paying per week to go swim and it was cheaper to join. I would give up Anytime, but it has more open space to workout in and isn't near as crowded. So, 2…

Heavier weight on the bar, with less padding....I bought a foam barbell pad, it was getting painful.

I hate those days, they happen when I swim in the morning (along with other times). I try eating often, but low calorie.

Good point

5'10" Where are all you tall men when I am looking for a date?

This is a good reminder. I was awful at accepting compliments when I was losing weight...about anything. I have gotten better even though I do fee awkward sometimes. When someone compliments my work ethic in the gym, I can accept that, it's the ones about my looks that I have trouble accepting. I guess that is from trying…

I am this way too, I may work on the outfits more, but that is because I have a lot more options. On clothes, makeup and hair, I don't work on it as much for the most part.

I also agree with this. I have only done a few triathlons, but this is all good advice. I was like you and could do all three components, but together scared me. I did some brick training and also had someone show me how to do good transitions. The first triathlon I did was an open water swim, I did all my training in a…

My favorite compliment is "You are such an inspiration" After I lost a lot of weight, I got this from people who were not overweight...I inspired them to get fit. That felt awesome ETA The "Have you lost weight" compliment is also wonderful though

You look amazing!! I understand the body image issues. It is so hard when I look in the mirror and see the old me instead of the girl staring back at me.

Vodka with Club Soda and a lime. Club soda is 0 calories! Flavored vodka if you want a different taste.
-
That is awesome, congratulations! Similar to this is when I go try on clothes and have to go back for a smaller size....It always looks way to small to fit me and then is too big. I think I was used to hiding in oversized clothes.

Perfect, I will go back to deadlifting in the power rack and let people squat elsewhere.
-
I used to deadlift in the power rack, but that was the only rack we had and the only bar we had. If I take the bar out of the power rack, no one really has a need for the power rack right? Power rack with no bar is kind of useless. Also, our gym was pretty small and there was no free space to take the bar. Gym has since…

I have loved popcorn my whole life! We ate it as a family for dinner many times. My Dad would over salt his so no one else would eat it. I had popcorn right after I finished my dinner last night and had some again for a morning snack. Generally I like it popped on the stove, but Skinny Pop is good for my instant…

6-7 days a week, but there are some very light days in there. I vary my workouts a lot with heavy weights, HIIT, Swimming, lighter weights with lots of reps, classes that combine any of the above. I definitely don't get bored.

No one asked me, but someone did ask my brother if I was sick. He hadn't seen me in a while and I was probably down 40 pounds. I did have someone introduce them self to me and I had know him for 5 years.
-
That was very impressive!

The squat, single leg, other leg in front.

My trainer can randomly do these just while I am resting between sets and we are talking. He did one while standing on the flat side of the BOSU with the unstable ball part on the floor.
-
It's funny you say that, as I lost weight, I had a lot of people tell me I looked taller. My dad swore I grew. I don't think so at 40, but I guess I did look taller. I got a lot of "I never realized how tall you were"

On a similar note, I don't have kids, but now that I do different 5Ks, mostly fun ones, no competitive at all, my niece asks to go with me. Last year for her birthday, I took her to do a color run. This year we are doing a mud run since she is finally old enough. Quality time together and active as well!

I do this generally, but my go to is scrambled eggs if I need something quick. Eggs is one thing I rarely run out of. Greek Yogurt, oatmeal, protein shakes are others that are easy.
