  • I am gone from my pup from 7:15 AM until 6:30 or 7PM. As soon as I get home we go for a good walk, then we play fetch and tug-o-war in the evenings and whatever else. If I have plans in the evening on a work day, my neighbor takes him out and usually keeps him at her house for a couple hours and hangs out with him. I…
  • Old Navy, JC Penney, Kohls are my three main. I also have some Fabletics stuff...love their pants.
  • I lost 120# in 13 months, that was from September 2009-October 2010. Lost another 10-15 pounds by March 2011. I regained 25 pounds in 2013 and have been staying the same since then. Working on re-losing now. I still track although not as diligent as before. I wish I would have stopped myself before the 25 pound regain, but…
  • I did a CrossFit trial, it was the boot camp or on ramp class, plus a few classes once I passed that. It was good, I liked parts of it, wasn't a fan of parts of it. That said, my trainer got certified as a CrossFit instructor after I had been working with him for a few years, he now owns a CrossFit gym and he includes some…
  • Great advice!
  • I enjoy jumping rope to add cardio to a circuit. I used to just straight jump rope and got to 10 minutes with no mistakes or breaks. It took me a while to get there. No I usually jump for a minute, rest for 10 seconds X5 or more. Sometimes it can be part of a workout where I do 100 jumps. I worked on double unders for a…
  • I usually just eat pizza, but sometimes I can't fit it in, I make a roasted portabella mushroom pizza. Basically, you roast a portabella mushroom and top it like a pizza. I actually really like them and sometimes I crave them, not just regular pizza.
  • I had several wardrobes going from size 22/24 to 8/10. I didn't buy full wardrobes, but a couple of pairs of pants every couple of sizes. Shirts lasted longer than pants, they looked big, but they weren't falling down :)
  • The squat sponge works wonders for the glute bridge...I never use it for squats, but always for these.
  • Going through this for the last few days, it would be easier to just eat my feelings, and I have had some indulgences, but I decided to focus on the diet being better and it keeps my mind of the other stuff. I am also good about going to the gym to get rid of stress and anxiety now.
  • Go Blues! Went to that game last night. Oh how the late start is killing me today :) Luckily the win makes it easier to handle.

  • I wish I lost mine...I went from a 42 H to a 36G.
  • When I ate it as a kid, we had grape jelly mixed in. I find that a little weird now, but like it plain, so all good :)
  • I decided on Monday to stop drinking soda. I was drinking Coke Zero for the most part, so it wasn't a calorie issue. I realized that my main issue was I needed to stop my morning habit of stopping at Quick Trip, it wasn't really the soda, just more the routine. This is the best I have done with giving up soda in a long…
  • This game is killing me...although I am rooting for the Blues unlike you.

  • I felt the same way while I was losing weight. I wasn't unhappy before losing weight though, it was more that I thought some aspects of my life that I wasn't completely happy with would change just with the weight loss, which they didn't. I had to make separate effort to change those things. I ended up going to therapy for…
  • I have been doing physical therapy and going to a chiropractor for the last couple of month for lower back pain the was going into my hip. It has gotten me back to feeling good. Not sure which one or if both have done it, but they two of them work together to help with the pain. I will say, I went to an orthopedic doctor…

  • That is one reason I go to the gym after work (and I don't like getting up any earlier than I have to). When I do go home after work, I need to find something to keep me busy besides watching TV. My problem can be after dinner and before bed. I find that if I keep myself busy with different hobbies, I don't think about…
  • When I originally got close to my weight loss goal, I decided I wanted to complete a triathlon. That was my first fitness goal that I trained for. After the first one, my goals were to better my time. That was my main fitness goal. I have also had goals of running a mile straight, or bench pressing over 100#. The goal I…

  • Mustard, Hot sauce and diet soda are the three main that I don't log. Spices are hit and miss, I have them added to some of my save meals, but in general I don't. Especially salt and pepper.
  • I eat out for lunch once a week and dinner once a week. I never miss a Monday for workouts, it starts my week out right. Plan my meals weekly or I will go off track Drink 100 OZ of water a day I love cookies, but I have learned that not all cookies are created equal and I only spend my calories on the ones that are worth…
  • With my hip, I woke up from surgery in less pain. The incision hurt, but the joint no longer hurt.
  • I didn't have knee replacement at a young age, but I had hip replacement at 39. It was bone on bone and it got to the point where I couldn't sleep through the night because of the pain, so I had the replacement surgery. For me, it was a great decision. From what I hear, recovery from knee replacement is harder than hip,…
  • I thought mine might get better, being able to swing through the ball better with less body in the way. However, no real change. I think I just need to play more to get better
  • I also have an Anytime Fitness membership and have gone to several when traveling. It is a nice option. Also, I am not all that motivated when I am home, the coach calls my name :) My gym membership is totally worth it.
  • That is a good question. If they don't do the ramp class or some sort of training for people new to the gym, they should. I did a three week ramp class and it taught me a lot. At a different box, I did a free class to try it. It was hard, but not Olympic moves. More things like squats and lunges, etc. The first part of…
  • I believe that you should find an exercise that you enjoy, but at the same time, I don't think going to one class is enough to make the decision. There have been many things I have done that I didn't like the first time and ended up loving....a TRX class for example. It was so hard the first time I went, I didn't know…
  • Both of these for me also! I do work out in the morning if that is all my schedule allows for, but I will only do cardio. If I try to do strength training, I have to lower my weights. I am not as strong at 5am as I am at 5pm :) I don't mind swimming in the morning, however it makes me extra hungry all day. I don't like…
