  • wow, you actually look like a different person! Great job!
  • Hey feel free to add me and good luck!
  • I have to say that in both your pics you are very pretty! Fabulous work, awesome way to change your life!
  • Now I'm in maintenance, I tend to focus more on my weekly total, and it's nice not to feel crap about having a bad day if you know you have had two other good days! And its nice to have left over calories for Sunday dinner :)
  • totally awesome, well done! i'm just beginning to get into running, one day i hope to be telling these stories! Your pics are awesome :)
  • I think the key thing here first of all is not to lose heart. At the end of the day, you didn't put those unwanted lbs on in a week, you need to give them time to come off. If you think about it, in order to have put on 1lb of 'actual' fat in a week, you'd need to have eaten 3500 calories over maintenance calories for that…
  • When I switched to maintenance calories, I just did it, however, it wasn't a huge jump as I was already on settings to lose 0.5lb, so this is the first step I would recommend, when you are approaching your goal (say for example 10-20lbs to go), change the settings. So i went from 1450 to 1680, so it wasn't particularly a…
  • Hey, I'm from the West coast of Scotland, and am always open to new buddies, so feel free to add me folks :)
  • hey, you can really see a difference, you're doing great! well done!
  • Totally awesome! good job. Gotta love a clothes NSV!
  • Just a few things to say, I haven't managed to read everyone else's responses. First thing to do is forget about previous times you have fallen off the wagon. There's no point hanging on to the negativity. I'm a great believe in positive mental attitude! And the other important thing so to realise this is a lifestyle…
  • Hi :) First thing I would say is try and make sure you get at least breakfast, lunch and dinner in. Also, make sure you are spreading your calories out through the day so you don't feel like you've got loads to make up as the day goes on. So a yoghurt and fruit at breakfast etc rather than just one or the other. Apart from…
  • Now that is an excellent NSV. Good job, and great choice :)
  • Hi :) I hope you're not seriously considering starving yourself, that really isn't the way forward. Take heed of all the great advise available for you and most of all stay positive. The antibiotics are probably having an effect, make sure you're eating enough and exercising well, and you'll do just fine.
  • Hi To have actually put on 4 lbs of fat, you would need to have eaten 14,000 calories. Now, we all know you didn't do that. The most likely cause is water retention, which can be caused by anything from too much salt, not enough water, to hormonal fluctuations. Keep eating well (1500 is a good number I think) and…
  • Hey guys, welcome aboard and congratulations on making the decision to change your lifestyle! Feel free to add me if you're looking for buddies :)
  • Hmm, yeah, I just noticed your total goal too - what are you're settings at - like how many lbs a week? Personally I would recommend setting them to 1lb a week, slow is much more sustainable in the long run.
  • I would say thats more than enough, like others have said, nail the food and you're most of the way there, but exercise is key for fitness, health and toning. Plus, especially with the likes of zumba, its fun! :)
  • hi :) If you're struggling to make up to the min cals, then the key is finding good snacks that will add cals. Fruit for example, i like granola bars, some folks like a spoon of peanut butter etc. Also, make sure you are making time for breakfast, lunch and dinner, cause if you miss one you are missing a big chunk of…
  • Hey, I'm in Ayrshire, welcome and stay strong! Feel free to add me anyone, I'm always happy to help new buddies!
  • Its certainly an impressive schedule. However, don't burn yourself out. You can only do what you can do. Sometimes life gets in the way! If you're really feeling the slog, then take one of them out. You're doing enough to give yourself a break every now and then!
  • I think you need to consider giving yourself a rest! You can't expect to work out every single day without fail and not be tired.
  • Hi, I'm in Saltcoats in Scotland, always open to new buddies!
  • Great results! Keep up the good work, you'll be just fine I'm sure. :)
  • ^^ this! You need to change those bad habits (like eating fast food twice a day!) so you can maintain the weight you want to maintain. It's not a diet, you are making a lifestyle change. And its not like you're not going to eat chips ever again, so you need to learn to moderate. TBH, i think i am preaching to the…
  • Absolutely amazing job. You certainly shouldn't be embarassed of your undies pic! In terms of whether to 'keep going' or not, I think you'll know when you're happy to stop, well, I know i did. Why not up your calories a wee bit and start to head toward maintenance cals? You're doing absolutely fabulous!
  • In terms of water, spacing out meals etc, it sounds like you are doing the right things. I personally would try upping your calories. Check what your BMR is (in the 'tools' bar I believe) and I would suggest eating at least that number as that is what you're body would need if you were literally in a coma. IMO, slow…
  • Hi, IMO, you definitely need to be eating more. Try a banana at breakfast, fruit snack packs from the supermarket if you're short of time, granola bars, yoghurt, snack packs of creamed rice (thats a personal favourite :) ) Like a previous poster said, be level headed about it and you'll be fine. Make time for yourself. And…
  • Like the other posters have said, same place, same time, same scales. I have a three times rule. I stand on my scales repeatedly until the same reading comes up 3 times. That is then the one I log. But apart from that - try not to obsess over what the scale says, the tape measure should be your friend. :)
  • Hi, my internet connection is being useless, so I can't check your diary properly, but if you haven't already done so, change your goals to 0.5lbs a week. Its got to be slow progress with so little left to lose and you need to make sure you are getting enough fuel for your workouts etc. Stick in there and you'll be just…
