I guess around 6.30 a km based on my 5k, so around 1hr 5. I really just want to be able to do it at the moment!

You look fabulous! Similar stats to mine and I know you can get those last 9lbs off! What really helped me was a new class (kettlercise) - really shook things up :)

hey, thanks, just reading an article on tempo runs on runners world. The fast runs are only ever in 1 or 2 minute intervals, so I guess it means proper giving it everything! Sounds daunting. :)

I think, my girl, you need to give yourself a break. In the long term, 2-3 weeks of not losing is nothing! And look at the 'outside' factors. Exams are stressful and cause your routine to go out of whack. And feeling unwell on top of that is not going to help. 1500 is a good sensible number. Concentrate on school, continue…

Hi and congrats on your weight loss. :) The key thing here is to remember that upping your calories to maintenance mode isn't going to suddenly make you gain 100lbs. What i would suggest, if you haven't already done so, is to change your weight loss goal to 0.5lb a week. That should up your calories, but still be working…

You have done fabulously! Keep it up :)

You look great! Well done :)

Firstly, congrats on your weight loss so far! This is definitely the right way to go. What you need to try and do is a) give it time, it will work, and b) make sure the majority of those calories are good ones - i'm guessing if you had 4 parties some of that would have been not so good food / alcohol! I'm not saying you…

I love this! Well done. :)

Fab time! Well done :)

I say go for it! By week 7 you'll be running 25mins straight, even if you only manage that (which is no mean feat!) you'll have got a fair distance. There's no harm in walking some. Why put it off? :)
-
Good luck! You'll do fab I'm sure. :)

Just look at your profile page and the reasons you want to get in shape. Those are all worth more than a ton of biscuits. My advice? Find something else you enjoy, that is good for you (or well, isn't as bad for you as eating a whole packet of biscuits in one go!). It is all worth it I promise.

Absolutely fabulous job! Be proud!

Hey, I am also open to new buddies if anyone wants to add :)
-
Maybe you could try going outside once a week or two - practise makes perfect. Or maybe when you have finished c25k you can try and do it some more. :)

See I've never ran on a treadmill so I can't compare it but I much prefer the idea of running outside. Freedom to go where and how fast / slow you wanna go! And its interesting to see how fast that is!
-
Yep, its tough going but keep at it and you'll feel fabulous!
-
So I finished week 7 today, did an extra 2mins on the end just to see if I could! Was at least dry today, got soaked on Monday! Think I covered 2.6 miles in my 27 mins of actual running. Onwards and upwards!

I'm doing week 7 day 2 tomorrow. Yesterday I improved my speed / distance from last time out so I'm interested to see how I do tomorrow. It is however, meant to rain all day, which I am not looking forward to, as I've never really ran in the rain. Need to man up!

I realise I'm repeating what everyone else has said, but exercise will make you feel better. I know it can be expensive but a few quid a week on a class you love, or nothing at all getting yourself outside and walking / jogging will make you feel ten times better. The key thing is to get started. The longer you continue…

You're a fabulous role model Sandy and your kids will benefit from your attitude in years to come. :)

Hey :) You've taken a great first step in realising that 600 calories a day is a bad idea. The second thing to realise is that as much as sitting at a desk all day is different to waiting tables all day (or such like), it doesn't negate any exercise you do. I have a desk job, and maintain my weight netting more than 1700 a…

You're doing an amazing job, you should be uber proud! Don't give up now. :)

Fantabulous job! :)

Hey everyone, you guys have all done a fabulous job so far! You should think of maintenance as a goal in itself, it certainly is a challenge! I find that setting fitness goals and pushing myself in that area helps me, I think its more important now to focus on exercise than food. And darn do I rely on those exercise cals…

You've done a fabulous job! And you look amazing. Well done!

That is a great set of pics to have! You've done a great job so far! :)

Food - everything in moderation. You know what - if I want that cheesecake / bar of chocolate / ice cream, I will have it. But I'm in control enough to not go overboard. Restricting anything will make you want it more. And please please please actually eat. Exercise - Work towards something, a 5k, an increased period of…

I think there is an element here of taking stock of what you have achieved so far. I am the same sort of weight / height as you (although I have come from heavier) and I have never felt better about myself. You're doing a great job, so be proud!
