I never let myself get hungry or then I binge on tons of processed "food". I don't really ban any foods. If I want chips I'll get a little lunch serving but I don't buy it for the house. If I want pizza, I'll go to the place that sells by the slice. I think about what I'll eat next. I'll think about what I'll eat tomorrow.…

I was 338lbs when I started. I didn't think I would "really" get even close either. But 223lbs this morning... Just do the job a little bit, sanely, everyday, you can get there.

24lbs to onederland however I have been sitting here for the last 6 months! *sign* I haven't gained so that's something. I was at 1600cal but dropping down to 1200cal has not been going well. I'm down 115lbs overall so I know I will get there but having to re-balance every 4-6 months to continue loosing is a bit hard.

Every time I pick up the pants that actually fit me and my brain still thinks they are way too small but they fit like a glove! Every time I send something to Goodwill that is just too big to even belt up anymore.

Awesome! Also I love before/afters in the same outfit. You can really see the progress.

Getting to onederland. I sorta never thought I'd actually get here and now I'm really close. :)

Everyone is different. Listen to this community's idea. Read nutritionist's idea. Then listen to your body. I work out 1hr/day, 5day/week - free weights/calisthenics MWF, Zumba TTH. And the #!&*/best friend, the Fitbit, adds in all my walking everyday. I tend to NOT eat back my calories unless I'm hungry. Sometimes MFP…

^^Yes a thousand times! The time is going to pass whether you quit or not. Whether your calories are too restrictive or just a little less. Why go all or nothing? You are always going to need to eat food. Why you think you can "diet" so restrictively for a while and then go back to before without consequences is a little…

-If I log my food everyday, regardless of what I ate :# , and I weigh in every week, even if I know I'm up, I feel successful. -Other people noticing my weight loss was an eye opener in the beginning. It sort of made it more real. -I tend to plateau a lot so not gaining overall is a big one for me. -A weird ego one for me…

Too funny and too true! It's taken me three years to drop 120lbs, still have ~60lbs more to lose. My absolute minimum is to log my food everyday, even if I ate a ton, and weigh in every week, even if I know I'm up. Some days are better than others but OVERALL the goals are followed and the trend for weight is always down.…

Congrats! So this is from a while back. Just finding it now. Wondering how are things 2 years on?

Yes!! Exactly! I am not a nut case. Or at least I am not the only nutcase who thinks "that costs too much" meaning the calories are too high. At least I think my sisters know what I mean now when I say something like that.

I'm reading a lot of the "I log it after midnight/add it to the next day" confessions. I did that too. It was always full of the crappiest "food"! Then I changed my diary settings: my day starts 6am-9am, then continues in 3 hour blocks until 9pm-6am. I almost never have anything in the 9pm-6am block anymore.

Love this thread! I've been reading a few post each day. I'm 92lbs down, 86lbs to go. I would have never thought I'd get upset to miss a workout class. I always thought I'd be down on myself about skipping etc but the idea of actually wanting to go, to enjoying it.? Never crossed my mind. Now I come in for classes even if…

I commented on this before but it bears repaeting. I'm 78lbs down, 78lbs to go! I've purchased the grand total of 1 pair of jeans, 1 pair of yoga pants, and undergarments (and 4 pairs of sneakers!). My bras still need major engineering and that isn't cheap but I haven't found any way around that. I just buy 4 in the new…

I was having similar troubles then I started eating protein with breakfast, eating my big meal for lunch and no food with TV. Those things stopped the late night munchies. Now I often catch myself around 6pm and need to eat a few 100 calories because I know I haven't eaten in awhile not because I want anything.

Did you stay within your nutritional goals? Yes if you add in extra exercise calories. I was over one day with out the eat-backs. Did I reach yesterday's personal goal? Yes What did I do yesterday that I am proud of? Ate at the cafeteria buffet and still stayed within calories. What is today's personal goals? 5 miles, same…

It is certainly doable! It does take time. Have an end goal in mind but make smaller goals along the way. Keep in mind the scale will make you crazy, don't trust it. Look at overall trends not day to day weigh-ins. A day with poor choices is just one day. It is not the journey. I'm actually starting to "get" it. It's a…

I know this is an older post but I thought I'd add my $0.02. I bought smaller bras and underwear and then I've been belting all my pants. I have to open the waist band in two spots at the front so the belt is inside the casing(?) the whole way around (not just at the belt loops) so it sits right. Yes it makes for baggy…

I missed the original thread (cry). And I get that you just can't help some people but I wonder if the moderators can track out an adult to pass a word or two about this situation on to.? Pure theater or not, stolen identity or not, there might be a real kid that needs some real intervention.

I do not know the science, I just know that when I drank diet sodas or drink mixes with artificial sweeteners, I could not stop eating! I never felt full until I felt sick. I did not lose any significant weight. Once I stop drink it, I mostly stay under my calories and I am loosing a good amount of weight.

Generally speaking if the UK and/or EU nations ban it, it will turn out to be unsafe in the long run. They tend to be more careful with their living beings than we are on this side of the Pond. If it can't pass there, I wont put it in my body.

39 turning 40 in January.

One reads it and thinks, yes did that, doing that, forgot about that. I will definitely come back to it again to remind myself of these simple truths.

I mix a little of both, maybe 2 to 1 ratio. I hadn't noticed the the calorie difference. Weird what one chooses not to see! I don't use as much quinoa so it never really was an issue pushing me over my calorie limit. I really love the taste and texture of the mix so I think I just push out something else to allow it in.

You can. I have. But it'll be better for your body if you do exercise. I'm fairly new myself. So far just watching how much and what quality calories I eat/drink has dropped the weight. I know I will need to work in exercise as well but to start out this is great. Also it is easier to work out carrying less weight to begin…
