I take Emergen-C every single day with a multi vitamin. My daughter has gone through 2 cold and I haven't had a cold or any illness in about a year and a half. I don't really know if that's why, but I used to get colds often, especially if anyone around me was sick and now I haven't been sick for long time. Plus I wash my…

You should check into a Master's program in your area. They are coached workouts and the coaches will help you improve and learn strokes. I love swimming. It is my favorite workout. With the master's program, I get to swim with people of my ability and I get the social aspect as well as the workout. Couldn't live without…

How about thanking yourself for having the motivation to do it. Nice job!

Don't think of it as starting over, it is deflating to start over again and again. I have been at this for 20 years, (yikes), but everyday I keep trying to get it right and I'm more and more determined to win this battle forever. If you keep thinking that you're starting over again and again, it is de-motivating, you're…

Join a Master's program if you have one in your area. It's a coached workout and they will help you improve your stroke, plus you get to swim with other people so there's a little social time too. I couldn't survive without the South Davis Masters Crusty Crab team and my teammates, makes swimming so much more enjoyable and…

I've never met an egg I don't love. I never did buy into the talk that eggs were "bad" for you. Love eggs and I'm about a 2 to 3 a day er also.

I haven't done it, but I would say run. And you need to trust yourself and you gut instinct, which it sounds like is telling you this is not correct nor a healthy way to lose weight. Here's a good guideline www.iifym.com. Learn your TDEE. Good luck and give yourself more credit, you know you need to run.

Great addition! Great post OP. Very funny and relatable. And BTW - Brits and Europe or whoever - doesn't matter if you actually drive a stick or automatic, her post was just an analogy and it was funny. Get over you stick shift selves. You missed the point.

I've never met a milk I don't like, I prefer Almond Milk because it has the fewest cals, and it makes for a really good smoothie and helps keep those cals low. Try it, it may take a sip or 2, and can be an acquired taste, but I think it's delish.

2 soft boiled eggs and coffee, with a little splash of cream and then followed by a big splash of cream. Trying to cut down on the cream part of the coffee. Sometimes I add a quarter banana, almond milk, a few berries and ice cubes for a smoothie if time allows to sip through the morning also. Love my breakfast, fav meal…

These are always my favorite posts. WOW! You look fabulous! Very inspiring.

The reason is probably because she's jealous of your weight loss. The thing she doesn't realize is you have worked hard for your health. You've put in the work and it shows. Most people don't want to put in the work and so it makes them mad or uncomfortable or jealous or something when other people they know have done it.…

Nice job! You look fantastic. I love before and after's, they are my favorite posts.

It does look good, mmmmm. That was funny! I think her whole point is how much people "everyone" including myself focus on the triumph of weight loss as if that alone defines us as a person. Weight loss is a triumph as anyone who is on this campaign knows, but it's not the only thing that makes us who we are. I am going to…

Quit worrying about people watching you so much. First of all, they probably aren't watching you and second even if they are, it's just a distraction from what they are doing because they are probably focusing on the task at hand. I know most people at the gym are actually trying to focus on themselves and for those that…

Sounds to me like you're not getting good quality zzzzzz's. That could be a big part of the problem, if not you're whole problem quite frankly. However, I had mono when I was in my early 20's and I felt similar, could hardly make it through my day and often times didn't. Might want to have him rule out mono. Make sure you…

I usually give the head nod and eyebrow raise to everyone I pass. I have to say I get more cyclist with the flip of the wrist wave than any acknowledgement from runners and I always thought that was interesting too. I notice this during a few tri's I've done too. Some people are really friendly and offer words of…

I also agree 100% with thebitSlinger and I do know to some extent what you are going through, I continually sabotage myself and have to start over all the time. The fact that you can voice this and be honest with the fact that you sabotage yourself is a first step. The next question is why. Are you afraid of failing so you…

This is one of the hardest things I have tried to do also. I try think of this as a life time/style change, not just a "diet". I am also an emotional eater and breaking those habits are really hard. Tracking my food helps so I know where I am, but what helps the most is drinking lots of water or other calorie free drinks…

Here's the thing, it may not be evil, but you can't honestly believe that it is "good" for you or doesn't do some "harm" to your body. Hell it can take rust off of stuff, eat holes through cups, pretty sure it doesn't have good stuff in it. I think there are things that are far worse than diet soda and with moderation,…
