Some definition is good. A six pack? No way.

Totally agree. I'm confident in my body but modest enough to not run around in public in my underwear. I love coming home with a sweat drenched tank, anyway.

I normally eat a light meal 30 minutes to an hour before I run. I usually run after breakfast so I normally have a couple of eggs and a piece of toast. I would eat the same for a 5k as I do for the gym since I run the same distance 3x a week at the gym already.

I'm currently at 102.05/140 for the month!

I understood that you didn't run a marathon after you clarified that you ran a 5k but until I read that, I was really confused at how someone could run a marathon with no training...

9.67 miles C25K and cycling for a total of 88.36/100 miles! I've decided to raise my goal to 140 miles for for the month.

I try not to plan my rest days. Sunday is supposed to always be a rest day but I had to take an extra day off during the week so I'll be at the gym today. I have some running around to do with my daughter so I'll probably take tomorrow off instead. I aim for 6 days a week but always hit 5. If you know your schedule can…

Today I did 3.61 miles on the AMT for a total of 78.69/100!

Oh my gosh guys. Today was supposed to be W6D2 for me. I was feeling good so I challenged myself to run through my 3 minute walk break and then kept running 3 minutes into the cool down time for a total of 26 minutes!!! 6 weeks ago, week one was kicking my butt and even last week, the idea of no intervals was so…

I run on T/Th/S. I do other cardio and strength M/W/F, or at least 2 of those days. I was running every time I went to the gym and was having a hard time with endurance. Once I started making sure I had at least a day between runs, it improved. I'm a total clock watcher when I run. That's how I made it the extra 3 minutes…

Took my kids to the fair and walked a total of 7.4 miles. That brings me to 64.87/100 miles for the month!

I just finished W6D1 yesterday and I can't believe I've come this far! I run on a treadmill at the gym and when I started was running at a 4.5 mile walk / 6.5 mile run. I made it through week 4 like that but dropped my speed to 4.2 miles an hour walking / 6 miles an hour running for W5D2 and made it through when I thought…

9.64 running and cycling. 57.47/100 miles total.

I aim for 5-6 days a week. Right now I'm doing C25K and 30 minutes of Cycling T/Th/S. On M/W/F I do 30 minutes on the elliptical plus weights. On those days I may also take a class at my gym and cut the cardio/weights depending on how I feel and what class I'm doing. I keep it around an hour a day. I take the extra rest…

I'm not a big running outdoors person. I run at the gym on the treadmill. However, I have no fears of running a race in public with other runners. I just doubt I find a love for running outdoors around the neighborhood.

I weigh myself daily at home but my scale sucks and my kids play with it and move it around. For tracking and logging, I weigh on Mondays at the gym.

I'm interested!

July 8th: 3.11 miles on the elliptical July 9th: 2.78 miles run + 5.76 bike Current total for the month is 30.5 miles.

A pound of feathers will take up more space than a pound of rocks because it is less dense. It's not so much that a pound weighs more than a pound but that one type of tissue is heavier than the other by volume.

July 2nd: 3 miles on the elliptical July 6th: 2.91 miles running/walking + 6.04 cycling 18.85 to date for July. 81.15 to go!

I think it's what works for you. I'm using C25K because I need some sort of structure and plan, it works well for me. I have a good friend who started running and she just ran until she couldn't then ran a little bit more, eventually she was running 5ks.

Eat healthy! I wasn't very overweight to start with when I became pregnant with my second. I also have a hard time gaining weight while pregnant so your experience may vary. I had GD this time around and that GD diet was great for losing weight (even though I didn't want to haha.) it's not so much calorie counting as…

I'm new but I'll play. Since it's my first time, I gave myself a goal of 100 miles and we'll go from there! I am running/walking and biking. I'm at 6.9 miles for the month.
